If you keep that to your nation, there may be some other nations that will protest this policy, but otherwise you'll be fine.
For role-play and therefore an increased chance of other nations that will protest this policy, you need to be on the map btw; if you want this, please check our Welcome Dispatch that is linked on TWI's regional page on how to proceed.

As the freedom loving american, i have a question.

What are the laws in your country regarding ownership of firearms?

In Domanania, those serving in the reserves are permitted to own a rifle and a pistol. everyone else is allowed to purchase a manual action (bolt or pump) rifle, shotgun, or a pistol only for sport or home defense. Semi-Automatics are only permitted for sporting events or pistols. However, there are no permitted open or concealed carry laws, so carrying one without it being in a sealed protective case is illegal.

Carrying is perfectly legal, with proper registration. However that's also the crux: registration is an extremely long process and very expensive, basically guaranteeing that only a few people actually decide to do it (mostly rich as well). So despite the legality of gun ownership, in practice very few people actually posses a firearm.

For me only police and soldiers are legally allowed to own firearms, and its illegal for citizens to own firearms in Aeriqatia

Wait, I could've sworn your flag had 2 blue bars, not a blue and a green...did you just change it or have my eyes been tricking me until now?

Below is a list of legal ages and regulations that apply to citizens of Nhoor. Nhoor has no specific legislation for certain situations but applies the rule that other citizens or society as a whole may not be disturbed or damaged by the actions of a citizen. E.g. a person who has to be brought to hospital due to excessive alcohol or drugs abuse, will be fined for this, but also maintaining an unhealthy lifestyle against doctor’s orders can cause a citizen to be fined and (depending on the insurance company) lose his or her insurance contract (in case of an additional insurance; basic insurance is regulated by government and valid/mandatory for all).

Marriage and sex

  • Marriage - According to Nhoor legislation, ‘marriage is the union between two or more people with the aim to create a durable and sustainable household that carries joint responsibility regarding legal rights and duties as citizens of Nhoor’. This means that marriage can be between any number of persons of any gender, but a marriage involving more than four participants is extremely rare. A marriage last until the death of one of the persons involved, although there are some who consider marriage eternal, in which case remarrying as a widower or widow is not possible. Divorce is never possible.

  • Homosexuality - see 'Marriage'

  • Polygamy - see 'Marriage'

  • Gender identity - A gender identification ('male' or 'female') can be removed from one's passport upon request but otherwise it is considered a private matter.

  • Incest - Illegal

  • Pedophilia - Illegal

  • Soft and Hard Pornography – Legal, but websites showing pornography are password protected and are required to ask visitors to create a profile. Entrance to sex shops is prohibited to customers below 21. Television programs with pornographic elements may be broadcast between 21.30 and 04.00 only. Minimum age to watch: 16. Minimum age to participate: 21.

  • Child Pornography - Illegal

  • Prostitution - Legal: brothels are considered normal companies and their staff normal employees with the obligation to pay taxes, the right to gather in unions, etc.

Personal freedom

  • Human trafficking - Illegal

Use/consumption of harmful objects/substances

  • Weapons - Possession is illegal. Under very strict conditions licences can be issued, with detailed prescriptions in which circumstances they may be used.

  • Drugs - Confusing legislation regarding various types. Certain types are legally purchasable at drugstores.

  • Tobacco - Restricted to members only clubs with smoking permits.

  • Alcohol - No legislation regarding consumption, but it can be sold only in special shops where entrance is prohibited to citizens under 21. Beer and wine can be sold in bars to anyone older than 16, stronger alcoholic beverages only to citizens older than 21.

Religion and other personal convictions

  • Religion - Freedom of profession, but there are limits to public declaration of religious convictions.

  • Other - Legal, as long as a personal conviction doesn't endanger society.

End of life

  • Abortion - Legal in the early stages of pregnancy, and the closest family and the Ethical Council of the Dominion have to approve.

  • Suicide - No legislation. Family/next of kin may however be held liable for costs resulting from e.g. the deployment of emergency services.

  • Assisting with suicide - Unless Abortion or Euthanasia (see there), helping someone to kill him- or herself is considered equal to murder.

  • Euthanasia - Legal, but the closest family and the Ethical Council of the Dominion have to approve.

  • Death penalty - Illegal and has never existed. Until 1978 the police had the right however to kill criminals suspected of murder, rape, large scale robberies, and other heavy crimes on the spot if they resisted arrest. This was however always done without legal verdict.

Legal ages

  • Adulthood – 16

  • Compulsory education – 5-16

May I use this dispatch as a template for my own law dispatch, v2 (with credit of course)? I have a law dispatch, but now that I have a point of comparison, I feel mine is too clunky...not to mention harder to navigate and read.

Of course. I must admit though that I am not the original owner either; I just modified it from a template from a non-NS project in which I participated a while ago (that was just a list; I organised them thematically)

Open carry of pistols and revolvers permitted but it automatically means the police are allowed to stop and search to check for firearm license and serial registration. This has meant that, whilst determined individuals carry, most don't bother as it's a hassle.

Shotguns and rifles are permitted, but not open carry - have to be in a secured case in the home, licenses and registered. Public Security are permitted to enter a registered gun owners home with less than 24 hours notice to carry out checks.

Automatic rifles, and modifications to semi-autos (either internal, external or add on modules) than enable auto fire are banned.

The Charbagnia Peace Operation was a rightful act against Charbagnian genociders after the failure of the League to stop it and Dormill supported a genocide of Aprosians.

If there was a genuine genocide happening, and League was being it's usual slow self - Altera would, weirdly, have supported Aprosia's actions.

What a world.
