The Weberian Antiquarian Party seeks to bring back some of what made us glorious in the past, combine it with what works today, and create a system that takes the best of both worlds

Policies

.

-Expand government powers to have power to legislate over RP and ic matters; this will bring back the power and excitement of being in government, whereas now there are barely any reasons to actually run for office and do anything

.

-Look into bringing back the old dual/multi planet RP system, where RP would take place in a near future society with spacefaring capabilities and there are maps for a planet and a colonizing planet in which nations can reside in either or both. Making the colonized or colonizer planet an earth map for maximum appeal for new nations is to be looked into and recommended

.

- Bring back the history of choosing running mates, which would bring back the sort of contentious planning and plotting flavor of politics that was common in antiquarian politics in TDC

.

-Make the aforementioned running mate hold a position second in line for succession; the running mate can be a senator or private citizen, serves in cabinet, and takes over in the event the chancellor cannot serve, either temporarily or for the remainder of the term until an election can be scheduled and held

.

-(Re)institute a "hall of chancellors" collection of the chancellors in TDC history to improve the prestige of the position (and therefore the demand to be elected chancellor), as well as protecting and chronicling the honorable antiquities of our region

.

- Expand and retain recruitment by remaking our regional appearance and enforcing RMB activity, as well as rebranding the recruitment telegram to emphasize our politics and RP after proper reform

.

-create strict laws on censoring excessive cursing, banning hate speech, and curbing toxicity in both politics and general discussion to ensure the community remains positive

.

-Recreating the election commission and making debates and polling commonplace in politics but actually make it work this time :^)

-Facilitate the creation of RP groups not unlike the AFN/IDC of antiquity to help surge RP activity

-Take discord moderation more seriously and cut down all the useless channels and stuff fed made

-Continue repairing relations with TDR

Since the next Senate election is drawing near, I am declaring my candidacy for Senate this next election cycle. I encourage you all to look at my party's political platform and I would also like to welcome any nations that agree with the Progressive Union Party's platform to join our party for this coming election. The PUP will actively support its members' efforts towards attaining political office. We would like to gain substantial representation in the Commonwealth government and work to make this region more secure and influential.
