--tao-- wrote:My daughter has been tested for Covid -- we should know the result by the weekend. If the result is positive, my wife and I both will have to take a leave from work. Mrs TAO works with an eldarly (67-98yr old population) and I work in a school with high school aged kids. The wait is the bothersome part.

My daughter tested positive last month. She just had a little runny nose, but because she's a very responsible young lady, and was going to be around a friend who lives with her elderly grandmother, wanted to be tested. I thought she'd be negative for sure, but ... nope! None of us ever had any symptoms and we all tested negative. None of her friends ever tested positive and their families didn't get symptoms either. She thinks she may have contracted it from a client. They are masked the whole time, but masks aren't 100% of course. At worse, she had a cough and bad cold for a couple days, and never had a fever. Thank God!

The test was positive. Mrs TAO has been off work for two weeks. My daughter had what amounted to something cold-like for three days but with loss of smell and taste. She is much better now and no one else in the family seems to be any worse for wear.

Anyone else finding RL is taking too much time but with nothing particularly important?

Ho, ho! Since about Thanksgiving I can't keep up with RL, yet nothing much is happening.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone! 2020 is now hindsight ... and it is a view I am pleased to have behind us.

TAO

Hello Friends ...

This will be the final post from TAO in this region. The Beech Beach House is closing and will not reopen.

It has been a pleasure and an honor sharing NS over the years with you.

Farewell

Farewell friend. May your path take you to whatever you desire.

:(

I hope you'll reconsider. The travellers are losing such a valued member. You can always bring back your nation in the future, and I hope you will. I understand your dismay over the nuke--it happened to the original Skoda for no good reason, too.

I shall miss you terribly. And we will wait for your return.

May you be well. So long, and thanks for all the fish.

hello

Hello everyone, anyone here?

I think I'll go on Walkabout and think about The Wanderer, The Watcher, and The Secrets.

TAO said TBBH is closing, and it's Delegacy is now a nice empty executive unprotected target for raiding. Unless someone wants to serve as Delegate to gain enough Influence to password protect TBBH for us.

*sigh*

If anyone would like, feel free to make yourself at home in The Watchtower for an alternative place to rest from your labors across NS. It's secure and was also one of TAO's regions as he was the original Founder. And if I were to CTE there, the Delegacy is non-executive. Just a thought, if you'd like. Meanwhile, TBBH will need to be defended, liberated, refounded, or CTE'd sooner or later. You all already knew that though. ;)

Yes, but we are sad for the loss of our Founder who has been with us since October 2004.

Ok, I plan on becoming delegate then.

I can support that. I lost my old region to that sort of thing myself.

...I appear to have become Delegate. Okay

So, who all are the old guard here? I'd like to ask you more about this Region, and what I can do to best follow in my predecessor's footsteps?

Lewis and clark, TWP will defend the house in honor of TAO. Just let us know when it's needed.
