Harlan stood, arm’s crossed as the cold wind whipped through his air. He was standing in front of a railing that would have prevented him falling over the edge of the port that had been built for Norvath’s newest pride and joy, the Motherwolf.

The ship was large and quite well armed and it whilst it sacrificed some defence with its comparably thinner hull to other battleships it moved at what was almost a breakneck pace when compared to those same more heavily armoured ships.

The launch of the ship had been put off for nearly a week due to a particularly bad storm and Harlan was particularly peeved as he’d had plans to meet an old acquaintance, King Albin of Middle Predor.

Now though, Harlan’s lips quirked in wolffish grin as the huge vessel in front of him roared to life as it rose into the air.

—-—

Just over a week later, the Motherwolf, along with a small fleet of Norvick airships, were nearing the Kromkarie border. A scout had told them a day ago that some sort of civil war had broken out during the conference and so King Harlan had briefed the men and women piloting his ships on the potential danger they were flying into.

They were about twenty miles off the border when a flare was seen going up about the same distance to the east. Seeing such, the King had ordered his fleet to fly east so they could meet up with whomever was there.

As they neared the fleet that had sent up the burning red signal, Harlan recognised the Predorian insignia emblazoned on the side of the airships. Harlan’s best guess was that they were some kind of secondary force likely heading towards Kromkarie to provide an escort for their leader and the men he had with him.

High Air Commander Aiken frowned across the bridge at the fleet steaming towards the Predorian airfleet. As soon as they'd recieved news that Kromkarie was collapsing into civil war and the King and Crown Prince needed rescuing, he'd called the airfleet at once, and had steamed south with the Princess of Predor, two cruisers and two of their destroyers, intending to either threaten the Kromkarians into giving them the King, or storming the capital and taking them himself.

But, with the Norvick airfleet steaming towards them, a new option presented itself.
He rattled off a string of orders, and the airfleet moved to meet up with the Norvick ships, flying boats floating up to relay signals between the two fleets.

CSS Anastas, First Battleship Squadron, Confederate States Naval Air Forces

Rear Admiral Culler Prester watched from the observation deck of the Anastas, the only ship belonging to the Pequot-class. An older model and design, perhaps at least two decades behind the newer line being constructed by the Navy department, but no so obsolete. She was the crown jewel of the Naval Air Forces, as much as, aye, but aging all the same. Her escort of other aerial vessels, forming a delta formation, comprised of two cruisers and two destroyers, with eight cutter gunships supporting the primary units of the squadron. The remaining destroyer of the First Squadron and its collection of three corvettes were to remain in the Confederacy to assist the continued operations of the Marine Revenue Service.

The First Squadron was mobilized in haste, after the President had received news of the danger posed by the Kromkarie civil conflict, and the risk of the State Secretary remaining overseas with such a tumultuous state of affairs. Regardless of their declared “area of neutrality” surrounding the capital, the fighting would spill over.

He saw in the far horizon the narrowing straits of the Kromkarie channel, and much nearer, the two fleets of other foreign powers: namely, he caught the ensigns and engravings of Norvath and Middle Predor.

“Steady as she goes,” he ordered, as the squadron was fast approaching their destination. He gave a few more orders for the flotilla to relay the necessary signals to the other fleets.

Evacuation of the conference Middle predor, Southron columbia, Laiakia, Versale, Sagami, Frosturne

The conference was in fall swing with delegates chatting to each other establishing deals and relations. People tucking into the food and enjoying the music. During these proceedings a KMIA agent comes hastily walking into the room straight for the PM.

"Sir I must speak with you immediately!"

"What is it Agent? We are currently very busy."

"Sorry my PM and Versaleian delegate, but I must speak with you about matter civil matter that started in Northex."

The two walk to a corner of the room and discuss the current events. Sir Jamie begins to frown with the news of civil uprisings in Northex.

"PM we must evactuate the delegates before anyone is killed."

"Agreed, do what you must to make sure they are out of the nations."

"Yes Sir."

The agent walks outside and signals to a platoon of KMIA. The platoon rushes in announcing that all the delegates must leave the area. "All delegate are required to leave Kromkarie immediately, we have provided airships for travel or you will be on the airship you arrived on. This is mandatory and all those who stay will be executed by forces we do not control." Yells the commander.

The KMIA sweep the area around the palace and setup guards around the evacuation area, "Lets move it people we don't have long". Yelling and several gunshots are heard in the distance away from the palace.

Under the guise of being a trade vessel, an Air-Ship landed in the city of Kolvers, where two important men shall meet together. It was early morning, the dew still fresh, the sun still rising and the air still chilly. The turbines on the vessel died down and the gangway was laid, there came out a strong-looking man in a black suit and blue tie. Along with him three bodyguards, heavily armed and ten more in the ship. He shook Archer’s hand, this leader in the fight for democracy in Kromkarie, Ashton admired deeply.

Meeting with the Vice-President

This meeting had the Vice-President aboard a steam-ship bound for Kilton. It wasn’t as nice as an airship, or as fast, but it was discrete enough to smuggle him into the country. In the cargo hold had crates with false bottoms and covers, there it was filled to the brim with guns and ammunition, all under sacks of potatoes.

A few hours later he reached Kilton and snuck out with his security through the unloading area. There he met with his contacts, local resistance leaders who were willing to take his guns and ammo in exchange for a meeting with their leader. The elusive Vincent Hicks operating in Alverton. The deal went through and they transported him in a truck headed towards the city.

He looked out of the truck window and looked in awe at the sheer industrialism of the countryside. Factories, smokestacks, and heavy clouds of smog stretching into the distance. And in his journey he found only a handful of farms but with no workers on it.

In the city itself they drove through a place undergoing change already. It was the first time that he'd ever been in a city where the working class was in the saddle. Practically every building of any size had been seized by the workers and was draped with red flags or with the red and black flag of the Anarchists; every wall was scrawled with the hammer and wrench and with the initials of the revolutionary parties; almost every church had been gutted and its images burnt. Every shop and café had an inscription saying that it had been collectivized. Down the central street, the wide central artery of the city where crowds of people streamed constantly to and fro, the loudspeakers were bellowing revolutionary songs. In outward appearance it was a town in which the wealthy classes had practically ceased to exist.

But they stopped in front of a barrack in the eastern portion of the city, a flag of pure red color snapped mightly in the wind overhead. Aleksander got out of the car and thanked his contacts, then stepped inside. The whole barracks was in the state of filth and chaos to which the militia reduced every wing of the building they occupied and which seems to be one of the by-products of revolution. In every corner he came upon piles of smashed religious items, broken saddles, brass cavalry-helmets, empty sabre-scabbards, and torn red uniforms. He was directed to a room where the leader was sitting in, entering he met the man behind the revolution.

Meeting with "Archer Johnston"

A tall man dressed in a dark trench coat with a black mask stood surrounded by bodyguards at the entrance to the airship.

"Greetings President, you are a fool for coming here, no one supports the actions of foreigners. Come we have much to discuss outside of the city where we have a bunker."

As they quickly make haste out of a city in conflict covered with Democratic and Revolutionary propaganda, several civilians holding guns runs past "shouting for the Revolution, down with the democratic lies."
After leaving the city, they take a train held by Democratic supporters to an area a few km outside the city, once disembarking they enter a forest where the bunker is situated. Upon arriving at the bunker, several civilian soldiers wearing an armband with the Democratic insignia on it approach the group with guns drawn.
"State yourselves!"
"It is I Arth... Archer Johnston, *cough* sorry the stress of this war is causing some sickness." Archer Responds
"Ah it is you our great leader in this fight against injustice", the soldier says cheerfuly then frowning as he gazes at the rest, "And these must be with you I imagine."
"Yes, now take us to the bunker where we shall discuss matters on the civil war."

The group head down into the bunker, a dimly lit tunnel led the way to a room where pair would sit and discuss. "So why have you come to such a hostile place?"

Meeting with Vincent Hick

Vincent Hick looked down at a map before looking back at the VP, "But since you are here what is it that you want, are you going to support us because my people won't like the idea of a nation that is corrupted by the elitist oppression of the working class. So, state your business before I have you executed."

Members of the army are deserting for the Revolution. Officers are enforcing stricter punishment however, the word of Revolution has reached the common soldier and led to division turning on their commanders when ordered to fire on their own people. Others simply leave for the Revolutionary military. Officer corp appear loyal for now.
----- Verdict: Replace Officers with KMIA and expand KMIA divisions -----

--- Entry 004 ---
Blankenwald has fallen in civil unrest with propaganda and flags of the revolution being seen with small firefights between local KMIA and civilians. Some factories are reporting sabotage from their workers. Support for the Revolution may be low in Blankenwald but, it is on the rise at an alarming rate.

So, state your business before I have you executed."

Presidential Meeting

The meeting was a hurried affair of trying to get to safety inside their own stronghold, but it had worried him that they didn’t even have popular support within the city itself. This meant that Archer had against him not only the working class but also the entirety of the church. Instead of a broad coalition of liberals, socialists, and anarchists seen in the Anercian Civil war to resist the monarchy. It was a mass-scale revolution against Archer’s liberal democracy as well as their imperial counterpart. He strokes his moustache for a bit, “I was going to offer you a hand of support Archer, but with all this it seems like you need it even more. Guns and Ammunition, some artillery and more. However, we need you to do something else for us for this support.” He explained. “In order for your own survival I need you to work with the worker councils here, guarantee them a place in your government to gain some sort of popularity.”

VP Meeting

Aleksander scratched his head for a while, off-put by this man and his demeanor so opposite to the Anarchist Militias he was familiar with in Carnolia. The ones he had fought alongside against the White Army, their comical ineptitude with a rifle and jovial comradery that he was fond of lost to this leader of disorganized Unions and Local Syndicates. He also pondered why the revolution had a leader in the first place, why such decentralized communes of industrial workers placed their trust in a single person, the answer eluded him. “Do you not want support? Guns, ammo, and blankets and the like? Back during my revolution, I knew it'd be much appreciated when we spend our days in frozen trenches.”

Aeronautical Rearmament Act

It was another day in Camp Strong, the President there to discuss increased funding to the Aeronavy. In the roundtable where the general staff sits across, the Airchiefs argue back and forth against the Generals on what doctrine is best for the military. “Oh no you don't! The Aeronavy is the linchpin in Anercia’s Defense! We cannot ignore it any longer!” Airchief Hugitz yelled at General Luger. “The Aeronavy is only there to defend against pirates and stall other navies, we should not spend so much on your ideas of projecting power. The army will need those crucial funds, after all who won the civil war? The armies of course.” He retorted. The president banged on the table and called for silence, clearing his throat he spoke, “Now what the hell is the problem now?” He asked. “Eh, sir they’re discussing whether to rearm the aeronavy.” Finn whispered into his ear. “The aeronavy eh? Well from the last time i checked I only saw ours once since my inauguration, why should we fund it again?” He asked the Airchief. “Sir, I have seen The Predorian Battleships come to and fro from their Airbases here, that kind of firepower can level entire cities. Our fleet consists of stolen frigates and destroyers with the occasional cruiser here and there. We need to commission new battleships.” He pulled out a plan, it was the schematics of a new Battleship. “Our good friends from Whelin Steel have designed this ship to help us compete.” It was a huge battleship with many guns and thick armor that can compete with the likes of Middle Predor. Among other things there were other plans for modern cruisers and destroyers to replace their aging battlefleet.

“Our new doctrine will allow us to intervene in war zones across the world.” Hugitz explained. “And the price tag?” Kruger smuggly rebutted. “Eh...300 Million roses.” Ashton’s eyes lit up. “That’s expensive Hugitz, but I like the cut of your plan, we need to compete no matter what.” He signed off on it.

Lenshaven Times

In another fiscal blunder from the President, he has decided to spend even more government money on naval rearmament. Costly new battleships, cruisers, and destroyers that will ruin the budget. Economists have said that this move will push the nation into more debt and should have been used to improve production of emerging industries like electronics and automotives. Hopefully the nation will get something out of this act.

In the interest of expanding foreign and diplomatic relations with neighboring democracies, and in a maneuver to largely curtail growing negative sentiments with regards to the Kromkarie Hostage Crisis, President DeWitt and his cabinet has reached out with the Columbian Embassy in Valesord to begin negotiations on a free-trade agreement between the two nations. A draft plan for the “Columbian-Anercian Free Trade Agreement” was to:

— Establish a trading bloc between the Confederacy and the Anercian Republic.
— To begin the first stage of international economic integration, namely on the basis of a preferential trade area.
— The designated area will significantly reduce tariffs, though not abolished completely.
— The imposition of non-tariffs trade barriers, as opposed to full tariffs, and gradually ease the Columbian and Anercian economies into a united economic overseas trading policy.
— Overseas trade routes, especially aquatic and aerial lines in the Infernal Sea will be secured through a joint commitment by the Confederate States Revenue Marine Service and the Anercian Aeronavy against foreign or criminal belligerence and to improve security.
— The agreement will include a pact of non-aggression, in the interest that the respective signatories do not engage in any military action against one another.

The embassy will also approach upon the issue of eased expatriation and immigration between the two nations, as well as adopting a policy of open borders. Business leaders are interested in expanding the current single line of the Columbian-Anercian International Railroad to connect other cities as well, and the construction of further highways and roads.

In this all encompassing trade deal, the Ashton Administration has reviewed the underlined stipulations and agreements. President Ashton approved the treaty and the Minister of Finance and Infrastructure was sent to coordinate with business leaders and construction companies about where to build new roads and rail lines. These new rail lines will connect to Vladigon and the already existing track to Magnolia. Roads will connect the city of Ronte, Vladigon, and the town of Irn in the North.

With the Revenue Marine Service and the Aeronavy now in close cooperation, the Confederate States Armed Forces has been considering a heavy re-organization and revitalization of the Confederacy’s military, especially regarding the rather ramshackle structure of the Regular Army and the Navy. The War Department had seen fit to send the Joint Chiefs of Staff, including the General of the Army Gerald Dayne, Admiral of the Navy Quentyn Slynt, and Chief of Naval Air Operations Gidden Tascer, and generals and admirals of the two branches as delegation to Camp Strong. They will travel through the new Columbian-Anercian transit railways.

A Trip to Camp Strong

They would enjoy a smooth experience as the new rails received the newest trains from Anercia. LX-2 Locomotives with the latest steam engines that were newly produced in Irongate. Accompanied by friendly cabin crew offering a wide range of amenities and premium drinks. Their journey will take them through Ronte, the closest city to Columbia, and the center of import for the entirety of the northern region. Afterwhich their departure led them down the Lilian River, where the train traveled close to the embankment, giving them a good view of the river. A beautiful stream of clear rushing water and fishes swimming a plenty. And beyond the forest next to the river were the Atal Mountains, a small rocky range with majestic mountain tops ripe to be climbed. Getting close to Magnolia, the city famous for its fashion sense and flowers, the green plains gave way to a sea of roses, lilacs, and sunflowers. Outside the windows they saw all sorts of people dressed strangely in heavy makeup and queer clothes, or in sharp suits and dresses, the contrast could give someone whiplash. And before they disembark to Wehlin there were protests going to and fro past the train station, where the protesters call for democracy and women's rights while denouncing President Ashton as a dictator. They were arrested by men in black khaki uniforms, berets, and jackboots. A truck full of soldiers were offloaded and helped the men with arresting them. In Wehlin was quite the opposite, people there were dullfully clothed and did demonstrations in approval for the President. There were no flowers or trees but grey brutalistic apartments and factories billowing noxious smoke from their smokestacks.

Finally in Valesord, their one last stop was in the capital, a richly built and decadent city now nearly recovered from the Civil War. Its massive cathedrals and palaces were converted into government administration buildings. There were flowers and trees to be had, the capital does have a central park to take a stroll about. It was industrious but not pollutingly so, plenty of factories to work in but distant and far apart from the residential zones. Statues of Republican Heroes dot the streets, displaying their victory against the old order. The population here was calm and under the watchful eye of those same men in uniform, the police were quietly removed and replaced. Propaganda posters adorn the walls of nearly every shop and apartment. This place really is the seat of power, but to the people or the president?

They departed for Camp Strong, their destination finally within reach. The camp itself was a 16k acre area cordoned off for the military during the expansion of the royal army. It is an impressive training and headquarters base that can hold up to a quarter million men. There the camp is akin to a small city, with shops, homes, and barracks sprawling the place to accommodate its local civilian population as well as new trainees. They stopped in the train station near the middle of the administrative zone where the Headquarters lay.

The joint chiefs were met by twelve high ranking officers from all branches of the Anercian Military. The General Staff, as it were, was the culmination of harsh purges and reorganization by the officers' coup that led to the end of the Civil War. Instead of the colorful royal-era uniforms that they used to wear, now its a drab dark green or blue uniform to match the new style of a modernized military. In front was General Luger, Air Chief Hugitz, and Minster of Defense Albert Scheer. They saluted them and Albert directed everyone to the HQ for the meeting.

The table was larger than usual, replaced by a bigger round table that accommodated more seats. On the table itself was a small scale reconstruction of the entire map of the country, with little figures representing divisions and armies. All the aides and soldiers not relevant were dismissed and told to leave. “Well now, I hope your trip here was pleasant, we welcome the Joint Chiefs as our new allies in the fight for both of our nation’s sovereignty.” The General Staff nodded in agreement. “Topic of the day is to how we can best help each other in the name of friendship. Some of our generals propose military exercises on our borders at camp steel and iron, some want a more hands on approach.” Albert Explained, giving them a dossier of missions and assignments they would like to work on. One entailed a military operation near Narba to push RFC forces back into the mountains, another proposed a joint mission to test aeronaval batteries for accuracy, and the other wanted war games to simulate a war front.

The trip across Anercia was... certainly an interesting affair, a largely sharp contrast to the century-old democracy maintained by the Confederacy. Some aspects of the journey were a cause for concern, especially with regards to the political situation in the fledgling republic. They would not be too callous as to voice their concerns, it was not their place nor right, but the general consensus has been as such: Anercia was a nation witnessing the death throes of the previous regime, while the succeeding administration consolidates control. It was an unknown to the Chiefs of Staff, then only a delegation visiting for the sake of diplomatic ties, when such a dictatorship would last. Anercia's cities has left a considerable impression on the Joint Chiefs and their entourage, that there was much the Confederacy has to know about the outside world. There was some pride too that the States has committed itself on Reconstruction first, before finally moving towards entering the regional, and then perhaps, the global stage.

All things considered, it was a learning experience for the congregation of military officers.

Their arrival at Camp Strong went without a hitch, and donning their respective service uniforms for the meeting. General Dayne wore the standard Service Greys, an analog for civilian business attire for official military and public functions, along with other army aides-de-camp and generals. Admiral Slynt was embellished with the full Service Khakis and his aids, while Chief of Naval Operations Tascer wore Service Blues to distinguish himself and his subordinates from his surface Navy counterparts.

At once, when the meeting commenced to a start, namely on the subject of joint military exercises, the Chiefs of Staff knew an eventuality when they saw one. With Anercia and Columbia now closely interlocked with the CAFTA Agreements, it would not be a far cry to push for full military cooperation, and even perhaps, a defensive alliance. General Dayne had stepped up to address his response. "A wise notion," as he carefully skimmed through the finer points of the dossier, "though I must be frank. We'll need the approval of Congress for any further military action, especially against foreign belligerents. However, I believe the President is given some leeway in formally establishing cooperation. Our respective departments are deciding on implementing some hard reforms, and considering the opportunity to test our mettle, exercises and war games will be a boon for experience and training."

"If need be, a destroyer, two corvettes, and several of our cutters-of-the-line will be available for military action, once we've cleared that up with Congress," CNO Tascer clarified, "the diplomatic crisis in Kromkarie has our hands tied, with the First Battleship Squadron still overseas."

The Versalean delegation found this news to be abrupt if not somewhat comical.

"They're system's going to collapse right in front of us!" remarked the Empereur with a subtle chuckle.

The secondary ambassador, who had expected to receive an important future role in Kromkarian trade was noticeably annoyed by the disturbance. The Legionnaires ushered the delegation to leave immediately towards the channel where a combined force of the regular military and Legion troops had been instructed to put their side of the channel under military jurisdiction with ship traffic becoming heavily restricted though certain routes until the delegation could be returned safely. The Grande Force de Guerre was deployed to monitor Kromkarie's eastern border with orders to not directly intervene but rather remain in charge of any possible 'spill over'. All train lines leading to and from Kromkarie were ordered to be seized until conflict was over, this would take place only within the stations that shared a vicinity to the two nations with negotiations open to delivering travellers back to their nations of origin.

The General Staff talked with each other for a while before coming back to Albert, “The General Staff and the Ministry of Defense are happy to do these exercises with both our militaries.” They all stood up and shook hands with each other. General Luger spoke with Dayne to talk about old war stories and the general state of the ground army, “We were so cold that we snuck into no man's land to steal firewood from the enemy!” He chuckled. “The worst fighting I recall was during the siege of Lenshaven, a marvelous place I might add, but the Royal Butcher kept killing our boys like cattle. But Antov saved the day on an assault in the city square!” He explained the battles and bitter cold of trench warfare. “I’m glad to have a president with such good will to the armed forces, instead of pampering whiny politicians in the assembly. So what about your ground forces?”

Admiral Hugitz regaled Sylnt and Tascer of how he and his militia stole royal ships during the early months of the civil war. “Some poor airman slept on duty and we slit his throat and commanded the vessel. It was fun, shameful because we just killed the only competent crew on board.” He laughed. “Good thing we’re spending some Roses on our ships, now we have two battleships! TWO!” He excitedly told them.

Albert was busy signing papers and telling his aides to do some background work, but he finished quickly and asked the joint chiefs about their country, “I heard you all had a civil hub bub not too long ago, what was it all about?”

Raid on the Carnolia Journal

In the early morning hours in the White Palace, Ashton awoke to a knock on his door. Opening it, a giddy Isof met him, “Sir! We good news,” Wiping of the sand in his eyes Ashton groggily asked, “News? At this time? Better be good.” He said. “We have found solid proof that the Carnolia Journal is supplying RFC collaborators with money and guns.” Ashton’s eyes lit up. “What?! The gall on them! Have the IBS divisions storm the place, we’ll have them hang.” Isof saluted the President and went to call his contacts in Carnolia.

Carnolia Journal Found Supplying Terrorists!

Valesord Post

In morning hours in Carnolia, three trucks of brave policemen stormed and raided the Carnolia Journal’s news building on charges of aiding and abetting RFC forces. A small firefight ensued as a few of them shot at police from the windows with revolvers. They were quickly dispatched and the search continued, all employees were detained and awaiting trial. So far one crate of old Mark-I Carbines were found in the head journalist’s desk. As well as 100,000 Roses in cash in their safe along with a black book of previous contacts. Truly, for all their anti-government papers who knew that they were actually fighting against the government and our beloved president?

Court Allows Terrorism!

Valesord Post

The court has allowed terrorist activity to rule unchecked in Barcona with their ruling against the Anti-Terror and Crime Bill. We are deeply saddened at this as RFC terrorists are already plotting and scheming against Anercia and its proud citizens. We here at the Valesord Post wish for future judges to reenact this wonderful bill to stop crime. We also hope that the president does something about our sad state of affairs with terrorism, and he needs all our support to do so.

Court Shuts Down Repressive Bill

Magnolia Independent Insider

A deliberation from the Supreme Court has ruled against the President’s anti-terror bill as it “Violates Article II Section VII of the Constitution'' Chief Judge Danecer has written an opinion on the bill itself. “This bill is what to some an act against terrorism, but seven of my fellow colleagues have seen truth on this bill. It is an act against democracy itself, military use against our own civilians, something akin to a monarch but in elected high office.” Many people, especially in Carnolia cheer as their curfew is lifted, and the opposition quelled. Antov Sutherland praised the court for doing the right thing for the Republic. We here the Magnolia Independent celebrate this as well, finally some good news.

What will the President do next in response?

-Peaceful Protests
-Rights Suspended

The Troll and Her Bridge
Blaiche, an ancient peoples, too often conquered, too often risking her freedom. This was to change, for 12 years the island stood silent, stewing in her isolationism, in both fear and strength.
Should we stay silent, Do we stay silent, does this pave the way to another oppressor?
Chancellor Marcus Antillies had won a second term and despite his recent success in bringing all the tribes of Blaiche into their rightful home, the people craved and begged for change, the dog should be unleashed.
He stared at the great blue, across the Infernal sea, thinking of the far off lands he may never travel to. What was the point in building the hulking ship of iron, referred to as the Gate Keeper.
A few moments later Reinhardt Kreiger walked in the room, a man from the Haschenland, dressed in a Predorian black suit, humming the tunes of rebellion.
"Mr. Minister," Marcus remarked, "What news do you bring us", What's the point in having a foreign minister if your isolated, the thought brought a half-smile across Marcus' face,
"Well Chancellor, A civil war has erupted in Kromkarie" His accent harsh with the regional accent of the Blaicois,
"And, they stand a sea apart, and last I read they did not descend from the Fjôric Sea with the other tribes of Arctos" Marcus interrupted himself, "-They are not us",
"Are they not... Sir Chancellor, we are no longer united as one people by culture alone, democracy had made a new people, an international faith. One to die for, was that not your campaign motto"
Cruel, but it is true, he thought,
"Well then, find me the Governor-General and Prince Kiering, they're to take 100,000, as many steamers as needed, and the Gate Keeper to Kromkarie, to aid a new republic... or forge one." before the minister could relay his commands he piped up again, "Oh and Minister, you are to take a smattering of troops, and a several Million Guildings to aid Jesruriz in their turmoil, and take the Commissioner if you need..."
Reinhardt gave a curt nod and went off to prepare the fall of the Golden Isolation.

Break the Chains and sing of Freedom
The beat kept playing in his head,
Stand up, all victims of oppression, For the tyrants fear your might, Don't cling so hard to your possessions, For you have nothing if you have no rights
Grim, he thought, what do I do, is this just, do we wage war freely?
Let no one build walls to divide us, Walls of hatred nor walls of stone, Come greet the dawn and stand beside us, We'll live together or we'll die alone
Bloody song says we do it with friends, He stood up, walking the frost glazed window. The moon was red as 10 suns, shining like a banner of the tribes.
He began scrawling on a scrap of paper and requested the guards take it to all the ministers of the cabinet and the generals. He rested sleeplessly, thinking of the lost wars of the past, counting the kings and princes executed as of their failures, Am I to join the list...

The next day he stood in front of his people, announced their abolition of Isolation, and more importantly, their proclamation for world freedom, their faces looked divided, some in support, others not caring, some even deep with anger and fear, will my head role to their hands, he pushed the thought back, and left the podium with the vigor of war, sending this letter to the nations of Skyreach,

"Men, Women, and Kings of the Empires of Skyreach,
Too long have the people spoke wordlessly as they were dominated and disemboweled by the sword of hate, Blaiche too has watched several subjugations from internal and external threats alike. But now, As the fabrics of ideology crumble and wage war in Kromkarie, we stand no longer shall stand idly, and call to arms the Democracies and people of the world, overthrow your tyrants and proclaim your freedom, for you are freemen, not slaves. Begin the final drama, the final battle, In the streets and in the fields, We stand unbowed before their armour, We defy their guns and shields and, shall deny their ignorance and treachery.
We are no longer poisoned by the shadow of hate, and call to arms the Internationale, a union of the free world
."

Jesruriz, The eastern air trade commission, Laiakia & Southron columbia, and the rebels of Kromkarie, particularly would be called to join the new alliance, and would be sent further letters requesting envoys to come to the Damstal, and discuss the proposition of the alliance, and, if lucky, celebrate the freedom of the New Order. The meeting, whilst aimed at the democracies and free nations of Skyreach, all nations would be invited to treat with Blaiche and her allies, to be.

The Columbian Civil War. The single-most destructive war the Confederacy has ever seen since it’s promulgation. “Dark times, for our peoples,” General Dayne answered, solemnly. “It took place sixty years ago, I was probably four or six, my father went to fight the North. I’m a Gadsden, through and through,” he chuckled. “Probably the reason why I didn’t try to flunk out of college. Took ROTC, passed through OCS, with none of those fancy academy shmucks.”

“A fight over states’ rights, no less. Some of the Northrons tried to secede, but President Stonewall Mallister wasn’t having any of that, least of the South. So went to war,” Admiral Slynt continued. “The first year was a goddamn meat grinder. Bluebellies and Greyjackets duked it out from the streets to the mountains and rivers. Six hundred grand lost souls, and the Bluebellies weren’t convinced. My grandfather and pop were Bluebellies themselves, before I was born. Pequoties.”

“He finally got them in the big ‘un, Battle of Susquehanna River, up by Keystone,” CNO Tascer remarked in the drawl of a deep Southron, “bloodiest battle yet. Some thirty ironclads fell from the sky, like a bunch of hailstone, the Scarlet Beast come from the Seven Hells, so my granddaddy done tell me.”

Jesruriz wrote:Presidential Meeting

Meeting with "Archer Johnston"

"Sir", a soldier says while walking into the room, "Telegram for you sir, from the north."
"Thankyou." Archer says while taking the letter and reading it. After reading it he gently puts it to the side upside down with a smile on his face. "Send Telegram orders confirmed."
"Giving the worker councils a seat in government would not improve the situation, they report to the Revolutionary Leader and command Vincent Hick. He is the face of the revolution the father of his ideology. His name echoes throughout Kromkarie as a sign of freedom from the oppressive elitists." Archer sighs and stares at the sealing. "We will not win this war, but maybe the next if we can show the evils of Vincentism. Now, we need to get out of here as I received word that Kolvers has fallen to an uprising of Vincentist Revolutionaries. Without Kolvers there are no airships or ships to get out, but I do have a plan".
Archer Johnston explains his plans for smuggling them out of the nation involving being carried via civilian travel going through Legion territory as it is sparse of enemy activity. "And yes President we will be smuggled as cargo. Don't worry with your body guards and my few soldiers we will be unharmed."

Meeting Vincent Hick

"I can not deny that such support is required, but to compromise our ideals to gain support from such elitists. The people that look to me as the leader of the revolution, from the professional UWR forces too the common civilian, they look to me for guidance into a better tomorrow. The promise of Vincentism." Vincent Hick takes a breath before continuing, "You know, this isn't the first revolution we have had, we suffered under the Grey Empire. Their tyranny drove us to rebellion, many of the people I serve remember those days, so I will accept your support as I don't want my people to suffer as much as they did before and this time. This time. We will create a better tomorrow."

"Comrade Hick. Telegram for you from the south."

Vincent Hick grabs the telegram and reads it before saying, "It would appear our package has arrived, tell them to bring it here as soon as possible comrade."

"Now, I agree that we need this support, but what are your terms, don't expect much compensation." Vincent Hick says while pointing a gun at a picture of the king.
