The general elections for Chancellor took place last year, and the winner was Deputy Melícia Fagundes, from the Maragato Party. She was officially appointed by the Empress this year, thus being sworn in to compose Her Majesty's Government.

Elections for Chancellor take place as follows:
The Chancellor (Head of Government of the Empire) will be elected by the population by universal suffrage, being occupied only by a member previously member of the National Congress, both Senator and Deputy.
General elections take place every five years, while for Deputy and Senator they are every four years, so the Chancellor is elected in the fourth year, keeping the fifth year for the transition.
The National Congress has a total of three heads: the Head of the Ordinary Chamber (House of Deputies), the Head of the Extraordinary Chamber (House of Senators) and the Chancellor himself.
The Chancellor-Elect will be removed on behalf of His Imperial Majesty, heading the Transition Team. Thus, after five years, he will be appointed by the Sovereign to establish the government of the Empire.
The two biggest political parties in the Empire are Chimango and Maragato

Y'know this isn't the first time this happened, we even fell to 150 once just to bounce back to 200. We're constantly recruiting (although if you want you can help - more info on discord) which means it mostly depends on how many people join the game and how many forget to log in
The problem is that sky havens growth rate has reached an all time low 3 nation cease to exist every day and only one arrives
it might bounce back up but itll never grow more since no one has interest in the region
Look there is only so much one can do about that, at one point we didnt think we stay above 100 nations and here we are. A lot of the users that join often cant (or maybe wont) join our Discord server and honestly a lot of what makes NS fun for long time players is connected to offsite elements (forums discords wikis etc). Thats not to say that we cant work more on the base experience here (which I admit I didnt focus on enough), but offsite is where most of the work gets done.
You already admit that it wont die, and the idea that it wont grow anymore is a bit misleading. It will likely grow back to 200+ and if the timing is right it might go even higher.

Well it does lower the civil rigths and power over that percentage of people, so it technically does reduce the civil rigths a bit i supposse.
