I'm from Israel, and my nation is 
The Jolly Fields of Lower French Gregballs. I have a factbook (or a few) explaining some basic stuff about my nation, I hope you can take the time to read them, they'll give you an impression about what kind of nation it is. I am working to improve my nation's (already good) environment and eco-friendliness (of which I keep track in a dispatch).
I work for a publisher of books, and am now proofreading a book on some esoteric research I translated. I also write poetry and prose (mostly science fiction), mostly in Hebrew.
A singer-songwriter I admire just came out with a new album, and I decided to work on an English version for its title song. I need to find the written lyrics, since two lines in the song were difficult for me to decipher.

I know this is one of the first thirty two primordial issues created by Our Father Max, hallowed be his name, but, really, there needs to be more options added to this issue.

Only two options, one advocates kicking them out of the country in the name of tolerance and sensitivity, and other defends their existence saying "we're all nice and tolerant so of course they must be allowed to speak". All of these are well and good -- but there are nations, such as 
The Ascendant Hive, that would consider a third option: killing them all. Or whatever it is they do to Violetists.
All I'm saying is, despite this issue's venerability, it has no meaningful option for nations that take a third option other than dismissal. Just my take on it.

I am now opening candidacy for the Councillor of the Interior, tasked with facilitating engagement, providing regional broadcasts, running polls and overseeing a survivable discussion environment over the RMB. The term runs from Feb 29th to June 28th.

Hello everyone! It's me again, this time with a different hat, I suppose. I look forward to being your Culture Councillor again and working on games and activities for us to become closer as Refugi (and friends).
To start this term, I have completed the official dispatch for the Office of Cultural Affairs. Please read and enjoy ^-^
The Councillor of Culture, currently Sylh Alanor, is in charge of orchestrating cultural events and developing the identity of the Refugi culture. They are responsible for keeping people feeling happy and safe, coordinating events, and hosting games. The Councillor of Culture is always available to answer questions, or to put a resident/Member State in contact with another Councillor who can better assist them with their issue. Finally, as of Statute Referendum #3: Guidelines for Environmental Participation and Implication, the Councillor of Culture is in charge of tracking regional environmental stats, and providing regular Eco-Reports informing the region of its progress.
The Councillor of Culture, being nominally in charge of events and developing regional identity, has a wide and vague swath of responsibilities. How do they accomplish these things? The list below will grow as new types of events are added.
Refugi Game Nights: While members on the Regional Message Board and in the regional Discord server can suggest games at any time, the Councillor of Culture will schedule regular official times for games, so that the most people can show up. Games so far have included Tetris, Skribbl.io, and Uno! Do you have a suggestion for a game? Send it to the Councillor of Culture and get it added to the list!
Creative Competitions: Refugi have historically proven ready to show off their creative talents. Whether it be worldbuilding, vexillology, or creating conlangs, the people of our region have always risen to the occasion when presented with challenges. The Councillor of Culture may call for contests that reward Refugi by featuring their creations on the official region page.
World Assembly Development Program (WADP): Historically, Refugia has run WADP competitions to give member states the chance to win valuable and rare cards by endorsing the delegate and each other. Because of these programs, Refugia has maintained a place as the second-most endorsement happy region on NationStates!
Interregional Events: The Councillor may, via the Councillor of Foreign Affairs, get in touch with culture staff in our embassy regions to collaboratively work on events. These will be the perfect opportunity for Refugi to get to know and become friends with our neighbours in other regions!

I really recommend running! I promise if you are selected as the next Interior, you will not only do great, but you'll have great fellow Councillors who are ready and prepared to support you as needed. I said this earlier, but I think Interior is a great introductory position for those interested in becoming a Councillor but are worried they're not experienced or prepared enough! arguments I've seen from more attentive Refugi and recommend against voting for a kind of shoddily written resolution. Further thoughts are welcome.

I'm happy where I am, honestly. We looked a place up and chose to move there out of a list of options, then did it, and I think that it's a great location and where I'd probably be happy spending a very long time. If we're including fiction, then proooobably... uhhh... the space station in my Oracle RP on the forum, I guess. Scifi but still kinda cosy.
