Project 006 and 007 announced

SHUNTIAN — The Ministry of Works has announced its next two Megaprojects, which will begin work next year as part of the Second Five Year Plan. The two Megaprojects will be supported by various Federal ministries, such as the newfound Ministry of the Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Posts and Communications, and Ministry of Revenues.

The first new Megaproject, labelled Project 006, will see the agglomeration of various metro systems in the FEUSSR to form an interconnected, city-to-city commuter system, dubbed the Far Eastern Metro System (FEMS). Although it will only initially include the Jiangnan geographical region, it may expand gradually to cover more and more areas, thereby increasing the accessibility and economic prosperity of the region.

The inaugural part of Project 006 will involve the connecting of the Shencheng and Suzhou metros into a singular metro system, dubbed the Double-S Metro System. A 34.4 km gap between the Tongli and Oriental land stations of the two distinct metro systems will be closed with a new transit connection, connecting numerous rural settlements together and facilitating higher quality development of these areas. It would also allow for an easier commute, especially for residents of either cities. A similar plan will occur with the city of Wuhsi, linking its 3-lined metro system with the Double-S via a 22.5 km long connection between the International Airport and Railway Station metro stops. Furthermore, the new Double-S Metro System has made plans to expand its network to Taicang City, Zhangjiagang City, and Changshu City, three county-level cities that do not have their own metro networks as of yet, integrating it into a larger agglomeration known as the Jiangnan Metro Transit, or JMT. Upon completion, the JMT will be the largest metro system in the world with regards to capacity, number of stations, number of lines, and physical length, having a completion deadline in 4 years and a price tag of $25 billion USD.

The second Megaproject, Project 007, will involve the gradual conversion of various cities into a "forest city", a series of urban bodies in which offices, houses, hotels, hospitals and schools are almost entirely covered by plants and trees of a wide range of varieties and sizes. Project 007 will cover 6 cities: Jiangning, Kum-sok City, Weishan City, Nantung, Haichow, and the port city of Lüda.

Project 007 incorporates green architecture into building designs to create a living environment that is beneficial for people’s health. Trees, green walls, green roof architecture, and plants everywhere create a healthy environment with clean, fresh air for the city’s residents. The conversions of the 6 cities into forest cities are estimated to help absorb up to 25% of the cities' total carbon dioxide emissions, and inject additional tons of oxygen each year. Furthermore, the inclusion of green architecture will help reduce the average temperature of the city due to the urban heat island effect from 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, generate a barrier against accoustic pollution for the populace, and help preserve a rich ecosystem of various birds, insects and small animals that inhabit the cities.

The revolutionary concept mean that the 6 cities will no longer act as disturbances to regional ecosystems, but will integrate with them instead. To further meet the challenge of reducing air pollution and applying large-scale solutions for a green future, over 100,000 detached houses within the 6 Project 007 cities will partake in the rooftop installation of high efficiency solar panels for the capture of renewable solar energy, which will be used to power water heaters. In addition, transport infrastructure, such as signage, streetlights, and waiting stations will be powered through solar energy instead. The Ministry of Environment will also sponsor the integration of the FEUSSR's domestically manufactured Aquaporin water filtration technology to process and recycle wastewater, allowing recycled water to supply up to 40% of the 6 cities' needs. All of this will contribute towards lowering the environmental footprints of the FEUSSR, propelling it towards a green future.

Project 007 will cost $95 billion USD, with the costs to be spread over a period of a decade.

Tumolian Times Reports

Political instability in mozambique.

The State Senate of South-Mozambique has urged the government in Cape Town to safeguard the lives of Tumolian citizen in The People's Republic of Mozambique. The Mozambique government has performed harsh punishments against foreigners in Mozambique after clashes between pro-seperatist rebels and government forces in the regions bordering Tumolia.
The South-Mozambique Senate Report is remarkable because the South-Mozambique state usually does not want to comment about mozambique since the split. This is the first public report about Mozambique since 1973. The Cape-Town government is expected to respond to Mozambique by setting new sanctions against them. Those sanctions would come after the corporate sanction set in 2015 after reports of human rights violations in work camps.

Unrest has grown in Mozambique in recent days. After harsh treatment by police forces, calls have come to reunite with Tumolia.
The Tumolian government has remained silent to these calls. These protests are rare in Mozambique and it is the first time that calls for reunification have surfaced. It is therefore unknown how large support for such a cause would be. It is however expected that the protests in Tete will be met with harsh actions. Protests such as these are still forbidden in the country. The communist FRELIMO party have reported that there is no reason for protest and that all behaviour that is illegal will be met with hard force.

SIRC surplus to be reinvested into Board of Works, Project 001

KUM CITY — The Executive Committee of the Supreme Soviet has authorised the disbursal of $105 billion USD from its budgetary surplus to find Project 001, a Megaproject that would involve the construction of $960 billion USD worth's of nuclear reactors over a 12 year span.

The $105 billion USD surplus comes as a result of the recent Sovereign Investment Return Contributions (SIRC) system, which would boost the Federal coffers by over $80 billion USD. The influx of capital with nowhere to go has led to some questions by the two branches of legislature, who convened to decide on a course of action. At the end, they decided to reinvest the SIRC contribution, along with a pre-existing budgetary surplus for the fourth fiscal year, towards Project 001. However, this appears to be a one-off reinvestment due to 'unusual economic circumstances' - usually, cumulative net returns measure at around 6 to 7% contrary to recent observations.

Project 001 is the first Megaproject of the FEUSSR, undertaken as part of the country's First Five Year Plan. It involves the construction of 80 nuclear reactors over the next 12* years to diversify the Union's energy mix as a long-term energy generation plan. Additionally, shuttered coal plants would be converted into public housing, schools, parks, and hospitals - that list has since been expanded to include office buildings, shopping malls, private land leases, elderly care centers, as well as state-run department stores, costing the Federal Government around $960 billion USD over the next 12 years (624 RL days), and increasing nuclear energy's share within the FEUSSR by 89.96 GW. Its high capital requirements was what spurred the move to disburse the additional funding, which would increase total government expenditure on the project to $425 billion USD over the past four years. Out of that, a significant chunk of funding comes from local governments, SSR governments, and other sources.

Thorium reactor project

The project is progressing quickly, our scientists, who collaborate with those of The republic of dhan are making considerable progress, the prototype is fully functional and the works for the first thorium nuclear reactor are in the early stages.
The biggest obstacle is the particle accelerator which must have a minimum power to operate the reactor is under development, it is estimated that the development costs of this component have been around 6 billion dollars.

China aims to promote renewable and nuclear energy in the world, of which it is one of the largest consumers, there are many active projects and many others are only in preparation.

Canadian co-ownership of Embraer sparks criticism

After the Canadian government announced its buyout of 50% of Embraer's stocks today, anti-globalization advocates and nationalists alike took to the streets of Rio de Janeiro and the financial capital of São Paulo to protest what some are calling "Global North Imperialism."

An aerospace conglomerate that produces commercial, military, executive and agricultural aircraft and provides aeronautical services, Embraer was founded in 1969 in São Paulo. The company is the third largest producer of civil aircraft, after Boeing and Airbus, making Embraer one of Greater Cape's largest industrial leaders and global competitor. Long considered a strategic partner for government initiatives and projects as well as the national airline, Azul Linhas Aéreas Capetãos, Embraer has contributed much to Capetão economic strength and image abroad.

With -greater canada-'s move to co-own Embraer, many were angered by what appeared to be a call back to the Global North's economic imperialism of the first half of the twentieth century. Thousands of protestors from all ends of the political-economic spectrum took to the streets this morning lambasting the buyout. Crowds of people gathered outside the Canadian embassy, Embraer's headquarters, and the National Assembly.

Anti-globalization advocates held signs and shouted their opposition to outsourcing, cheap labour, and foreign exploitation, while nationalists decried foreign influence in domestic affairs and economic colonialism.

While disruptive to morning commuter traffic to the city centres, the demonstrations this morning remained peaceful, yet with a heavy police presence.

5 dead, 1 arrested for pirating aircraft

NĀFA — Airport authorities at Nāfa Airport have confirmed the neutralisation of an unlawfully seized plane, which left all 6 armed perpetrators in state custody.

5 of the armed perpetrators were killed, while the last one was injured when police officers stormed the plane. He has been arrested and has been charged with Article 60 (terrorism), Article 61 (anti-state propaganda and agitation), Article 64 (sabotage), Article 66 (aggression against foreigners), Article 95 (robbery of state property), Article 98 (intentional destruction of state property), Article 121 (violation of railway, marine or air transportation regulations), Article 123 (delaying transportation), Article 193 (import and keeping of decadent culture), Article 195 (keeping of enemy propaganda), Article 283 (intentional infliction of grave injury), Article 288 (assault), Article 289 (abduction of children), Article 290 (kidnapping), and Article 291 (illegal restriction of personal liberty) by the local MOI-PIS procurator - he will be tried in the Nāfa District Court next week. If convicted, the sentence could be death, or a lifetime of reform through labour.

One of the passengers was shot and injured by the criminal perpetrators during the duration of the flight. She was treated in a local hospital and remains in critical condition. Otherwise, the remainder of the flight's passengers remain safe and healthy. 16 nationals from Eulumia and 8 nationals from Imperial Eagle on the Airbus A380 were brought to their respective consulates for processing.

Far Eastern Airlines, the operator of the flight, has denounced the act, and has asked travellers to be more wary of personal safety.

The MOI-PSF has said that there remain 13 flights that remain under criminal control. They have identified at least 80 nationals from Eulumia, 40 nationals from Imperial Eagle, 26 nationals from Greater cape, and 12 nationals from Donau-bundesreich so far who are currently on the 13 compromised flights. There remains the possibility of more unidentified nationals from other countries.

The PDFADF has extended flight cancellations in the Ryukyus for another additional day.
