Alright, I uploaded a map with all of the regional officers (Qazaq Eli, Azabimidjan, Gurankiyan) on it to the map section. There’s still a lot of unclaimed territory, so if any other nations would like to be on the map, let me know and I’ll update it.

Gurkaniyan wrote:If you’d like me to make a rough draft map, could you let me know where each of your nations are located? For example, Gurkaniyan covers the Qashqardayo, Samarqand, and Suxondaryo regions of Uzbekistan.

Thank you!
I would like the sovereign territory of the Republic of Qazaqstan plus “russian” oblasts: Orenburg, Astrakhan and Omsk. I also want the Ile Qazaq Region of East Turkestan province of “China”, if there are no objections from the honourable Uyghur peoples.

Thanks a lot for your work, Gurkaniyan. Maybe, we could get a faux map instead of a real world one? Would that be too much work?

Is it related to this?

Faux maps generally don’t let you choose the country names, so I don’t think that would work.

Yes. That’s my rough draft; I’ll add the Russian oblasts to Qazaq Eli soon.

Having a password seems like it would dissuade nations from joining our Union, then again do we have a strategy for defense without password?

If someone stays alert all the time, or we do it in turns like guard watch.
For example what is your timezone?

Hmm, I see. My timezone is CEST, Central European.

Gurkaniyan I found a terrible mistake in the welcoming telegram you composed. I am not the head of state, you are.

Would you like to be head of state emeritus (like pope emeritus)?

I’ve noticed that we don’t have any sort of recruitment mechanism to attract new nations. Does anyone have an opinion on whether we should write a recruitment telegram?

We could write a telegram where we specify the 'Turkic" aspect of our region, so we stand out.

To have such powers you need to be an Executive WA Delegate, which is now possible since our residents voted in favour of that 3 to 1.

What do you all think of this recruiting telegram?

Hello, newly created nation!

Here on NationStates, there are many different types of regions, from massive communities to invader alliances to “hermits” with a single nation, but I’d like to tell you about what makes my region special. The Turkic Union is a community of states working together to advance common goals such as peace, human rights, and the unity of Turkic peoples around the world.

If your nation isn’t related to the greater Turkic world, our region may not be for you. However, if you are an culturally/linguistically Turkic nation, or even if you just have a historical or political connection to the greater Turkic sphere, we invite you to join us in our smaller but supportive and vibrant community.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to our Founding Father Qazaq Eli, our WA delegate Azabimidjan, or me, Gurkaniyan. We are all happy to help.

Sincerely,
Muhammad Akbar II, Amir of Gurkaniyan and President of the Turkic Union

With all due respect, I strongly oppose this If your nation isn’t related to the greater Turkic world, our region may not be for you.
For years we had nations whose controllers were people from diverse ethnic background and that what made us so vibrant in the first place.
I am a 100% Turkic (Qazaq), but there aren’t many of our origin on NS, so I believe that our requirement numbers may stay low if we pursue the monoracial approach.

Oh, that’s not what I meant. I was trying to say “if your nation is not connected to the greater Turkic world, this region might not be for you”, not “if you personally are not connected”. I definitely did not mean this to be ethnically exclusive.

Maybe clarifying could help. I like the telegram as it is. But people could mistake that too.
