Developing World’s Amendment proposal:
The President, while not a subject of the Ministerial Hearings, must give a report to both chambers about the state of Thaecia and the future plans for the region after every 4 months passed. After that he must take at maximum 5 questions from each chamber selected by the Speaker/Chairman and asked by the members of the chamber.

We will now begin voting on Developing World’s Amendment. We will follow the same system as before.

Aye.

Aye

Am I allowed to ask for an amendment to Developing World’s proposal?

If it passes I guess so, amending the amendment which hasn't even passed yet would be quite weird though xD

Sorry, I was thinking about another thing entirely, I’ll petition my own amendment.

Aye for the proposal

Proposal for amendment:

1. The Ministerial Hearings may be released to the public, if the Senate has voted to do so with a 50% majority.

2. Failing to provide a Ministerial Hearing to the Senate during the correct time and date willl be grounds for impeachment, if the minister has no excuse.

3. The “excuse” written above shall be defined as medical problems, travel, work-related problems(irl), school, etc.

And with that, Developing World’s Amendment passes. I will telegram Rayekka right away with our changes.

Oh never mind.

We will now begin voting on Greater Conexus’s amendments. Same system, please.

Also, the RMB is open, so the hearings should be held there. School should also be an excuse.

I am opposed to this. First the ministerial hearings are already public, this can be seen here for example:

"'Every Monday, the House of Commons business will stop and the Speaker will call upon a Minister to speak in the House of Commons..."

or here:

"Every Friday, Senate business will stop and the Senate President will call upon a Minister to speak in the Senate..."

Calling upon ministers to speak in the house and senate is obviously reffered to the house and senate regions, as it's the only place all MPs and Senators have acess to. As for impeachments, I believe they would be justified if the failure happened multiple times, just forgetting about one hearing leading you to be impeached is quite exaggerated.

Nay

Good point. I now say nay to Greater Conxeus and aye to Cerdenia.

Greater conexus do you agree with this?

How about I remove the made public thingy, then change the impeachment time to 4 weeks of sustained absence in ministerial hearings?

What about the failure to appear at two consecutive hearings can result in an impeachment?

That’s better...
