we'll probably do a colab for it at one point - we had to remove the old one it was very outdated, didn't encompass our political system or anything. I think we'll probs save it till activity picks up later this year (often does)

I urge you to vote against the SC proposal, it is poorly written and has no grounds. It gives no thought to TWP's electoral system.

!IT HAS BEEN 3 MONTHS SINCE THE LAST CABINET AND PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION!
This means we are due another presidential election (it must be 7 days before the cabinet election), so I am giving you all a heads-up as CVO to get some activity back, and make sure you re-register any nations with which you wish to vote

As stated in The New Democratic System, a region member is allowed to vote with "1 primary plus up to 4 secondary nations", and in The New Election Act 15.10.20 that "All players may have up to five(5) registered voting nations", hereby defines the process of registering a nation:
1). A nation is registered by:
a). Sending the Chief Voting Officer (currently Orennica) a telegram explaining with which nations you wish to vote
b). Publicly announcing it in the RMB, making sure to mention the Chief Voting Officer's nation so they know you are registering them

2). Any registered nations can then vote on:
    a). Assembly Elections
    b). Cabinet Elections
    c). Any other offcial poll

3). Registered nations will remain registered for FOUR official polls, and will then need re-registering in either of the ways mentioned in part 1 (one), to ensure:
    a). Regular voter activity
b). Accurate calculation of Regional Turnout for votes

Hereby Passes the Registration of Voting Nations Act 30/1/21
Read factbook

With regard to the Presidential election:

3. a) Any member of the region (one per person) may stand for the position of President. They must make the Chief Voting Officer (Orennica at the time of writing) aware of their wish to compete at least one week before the presidential elections.
3. b) A candidate may compete as an independent candidate or for a party that they are a member of.
3. c) Specific parties may choose to sport just one candidate in the election so as to not split the vote. This is up to the party, as is the decision of who is prioritised, however other members of the party may still run independently. They will, of course, not have the benefit of being the official candidate for their party, however.
3. d) If a party has seven official members or less, they may install the President in a cabinet position.

4. A presidential candidate must announce a running mate, who, if the presidential candidate were to win, would become the Vice-President.

Presidential Election Act 17/08/20

Presidential Election Act
Recognising that the terms President and Vice-President are typically used for separately elected positions
Noting that in The Slide Countries, these terms are used for cabinet positions, typically given to the two highest-ranking members of the ruling party
Deciding that it is important to use accurate terms and for the political process to fit with the names for officer roles.
Hereby implements Presidential Election Act
1. The President and Vice President positions will be decided by presidential elections (not partisan/general elections).

2. The presidential elections will, to avoid creating a third, unnecessary, election season, almost coincide with the general elections. Therefore the presidential elections will take place seven days before the scheduled general election.

3. a) Any member of the region (one per person) may stand for the position of President. They must make the Cheif Voting Officer (Orennica at the time of writing) aware of their wish to compete at least one week before the presidential elections.

any Pairti Cle member who wishes to run for President must also compete in a primary with other presidential hopefuls first.

Pairti Cle is also happy to facilitate any other primaries for other parties in the poll section :)

Only 3 MAs, we really need this election

I am sorry the elections have been delayed (my computer broke this week, which wasn't ideal) but I do hope to get the presidential election going as soon as possible. If you want to run for president then please write in the RMB (for Pairti Cle telegram me or Aussandries), because at the moment The glorious state of corbyn and myself are the only option for voting.

We all need to communicate with everyone we know to get activity up again - I know we can pull through this.

Thanks again for all of your loyal service to this region
