The workers of the company are doing their usual stuff today. Some of them are mining for precious metals in the bodies of dead gods at the astral realm. Others are controlling robotic hands assembling nukes at the lunar factory. A large screen is present in each room. The huge screens light up and a message is displayed. "CAUTION! NUCLEAR WAR IMMINENT!" Elsewhere, many missiles are launched by the spaceships of the company towards a fleet of space pirates.

Kharzal: [Helps Vitale to his feet, moving him towards a side room where she lets him collapse into an old but comfortable armchair. She makes her way to a cabinet, taking out an empty cup as well as two jars filled with vaguely flesh-colored contents. Muttering in Ämärangnä, she waves her hand over the jars - several tendrils of unidentifiable composition snake of their own accord into the cup while she pours hot water over them. Kharzal makes a fist, and a squelching can be heard as the liquid changes color to bright crimson and a slight metallic tang wafts through the air. She brings the cup to Vitale, blowing the steam gently from its surface] Drink, friend. This will revive you somewhat. [In her mind, she relays Vitale's message to Ligeia] Procure anything you can find on this...crystal woman.

---

[The white worm undulates within its pool as Ligeia acquiesces. Cautiously, tendrils of thought snake through the in-between, seeking out the veiled lady, sifting through shards and crystal remnants, poking and prodding.]

Greater Angelus wrote:

Kharzal: [Speaking to Vitale] The one responsible for this situation...for derailing our plans, sabotaging me, starting a war we cannot finish...I am ashamed to say is one of my own Sisters. Mother's Mouth. Her name is Amatheia. She outranks me, thus I cannot appeal to overrule her. Her talent lies not in combat, but in speech...I have seen her convince a father to kill his own son, a friend to torture his own friend...with glee, and willingly. Her puppets are everywhere, extensions of herself, to the point where even I cannot tell which one is her true self. [She sighs] I know you never signed up for our petty squabbles, and you have already sacrificed much for the Sisterhood. I do not blame you if you walk away. But for my own sake...for the sake of the right plan for Angelus, for the future...I will find her and stop her. [Behind her, Sarakkha growls softly, as though in agreement]

Vitale attempts to drink the liquid concoction given to him by Kharzal, his head pounding as he does. As he gently sips on it, his vision starts to stabilize. He looks at Kharzal, muttering something in Italian which is probably something angry, judging by the way he muttered it. As he slowly places the drink down, the pounding in his head begins to subside. As it does, Vitale stands up rather quickly as his stance takes on an intimating pose.

That snake took what was mine. I’m going to put her in a coffin. She must have been who was playing the game. I do not care for meddlesome…elements, let’s call her that. I agreed to do my end of the bargain, Kharzal. I do not feel as if my arraignment has been fully actualized. Walking away is what people who have simply no sense of actualizing do. And besides, if this…complication did try to kill me, I will…let’s just say, I don’t care for people who try to kill me. They usually are the people who I make an example out of. So that way others can learn from failure.

Vitale wipes off his face with a cloth in his suit pocket. A small bit of blood runs down his cheek from a cut, but it stops as soon as it starts as the cut seals. His hands adjust his glasses, as he slowly puts the cloth away. A small smirk appears on Vitale’s face as he looks at Kharzal. There’s a sense of overwhelming malice within him that exudes despite that Vitale appearing relatively calm with his facial expressions.

I’m not leaving. You offer your assistance, I shall provide mine. I desire to fix this…issue, he says, his voice low and deep. He extends his hand out towards Kharzal, ensuring this pact.

Sth that should never been done as joke, and should be reported directly to site admins (or off-site admins when happening off-site).

As a general note, if you receive messages on-site or off-site that make you uncomfortable, please report it to the appropriate moderators and seek someone in your direct circles that you trust to talk to.

Kharzal: [With a grim smile, she takes Vitale's offered hand] I am glad to have you at my side. Our only priority as of this moment is finding and eliminating Amatheia. [She gestures towards Sarakkha] With her help, we can no doubt find any of her doppelgangers easily, but determining if any of them is actually her would be nigh impossible beyond destroying them one by one. At that point, she would know we're onto her and could come up with a counterattack against us. And even when we find her... [She tilts her head at Vitale] Have you ever had to fight for your life against a master Nälkänite, let alone a Võlutaar? Destroying her corporeal being will not be enough. We will have to sever her abyssal contract for us to stand a chance. [She laughs, though there is no mirth behind it] Listen to me, telling a non-Sister how to kill one of us. I am placing an enormous amount of trust in you, Dear Vitale.

One of Nol's people finds sephynne and contacts the others. Nol breathes a sigh of relief at that. They now have a chance to flip the entire dam* table to their favour.

"Quite the costume change, prime minister." He says, as he finally faces sephynne. A lot of things happened, despite the short time frame, a small laugh escapes him.

"Sir..?" One of the aides look at the admiral. They were mere moments from launching usteo squadron. Then a transmission came through.

"Put me through cadet." A gruff voice came from the admiral.

"This is Admiral Porter, of the 7th wing Carrier group. You're request has been denied, your flotilla has violated international maritime law for attacking our ships during a routine maritime patrol." He pauses, as a disdainfull look start to creep up in his face.

"The actions of your flotilla has resulted to the lost of our sailors and pilots, you've attacked us without any provocation. You dare think, we'd lay down our lives for you to kill us all." He speaks down from the mic, with thundering fury.

"Under the world embassy, and the laws of the sea. I request YOUR GROUP, to stand down. Either let us go home or face not only the wraith of our navy but also international condemnation." He barks off, turning to the cadet.

"Usteo squadron is waiting for orders sir, they've already launched in the air." Says the cadet.

"Direct their course towards the enemy torpedo craft. And keep course towards Lorenial!"

"Aye, sir!"

The crimson hue of Usteo's planes could be seen wholly of both ally and enemy crafts, small drones could be seen from the wings, attached to the hardpoints of Usteo Squadron.

"Bogeys at 6 o'clock, coming in fast!" A WSO calls out inside the cockpit. Usteo 1 glances at their radar screen, 'Guess that why our f14's couldn't escape in time...' He calls in his squadron, and pushes various buttons, with his hud displaying the drones they carry.

"All wings, release drones and push those throttles to the max." He smirks as the plane lightens it's load as the two UAV's unclamp from their wings, falling mid air, tiny wings folded out as they all made their way towards the hydra's. The UAV's open their missle bay as they get a lock on at the fighters.

---

"Well regardless, of that. Our countries are at a brink of all out war- we've already getting reports of a ongoing sea battle." He grimaces, the more bloodshed is shed, the harder they'd be able to get peace done.

"My team is prepping a satellite broadcast as for how it will be done," As he says done, Lia jumps down from the wreckage. Her figure a bit worse for wear but she seems to be in a amicable mood all things considered. "The director will be using me as a conduit to hack into your communications center, I'll be broadcasting it using a signal, which also means I get to perform....though I must admit, never did I expect I'd do it under these circumstances."

"Ah Lia, guess the director has alread-" He gets cut off as Lia punches Nol from the gut, not fatally but enough for him to struggle to the ground. "That's for giving me those false information jackass, seriously..." She says in a deadpan voice.

"G-glad your safe a..and sound also..ughh" He gasps in between, as he tries to stand up.

Lia's eyes shift color as her voice gets disrupted, "Much as I adore this reunion we all have, we don't have much time. Frost and I are trying our best to reign in options on a retaliatory strike-" The director pauses. A subtle look of anger could be seen on Lia's face, before Lia felt the director leave her system entirely.

Lia looks at Nol and Sephynne, with a confused but encouraging face. "Well u heard that fluffball, let's get this show on the waves."

"This is completely unacceptable! Even with those fighters, that carrier group cannot sustain that fight!" A roar from the general of the eastern bloc shouts. While they were all being informed about the happenings of the coup and the targets, the carrier group containing Hersiliah called an emergency signal. Disrupting the LDC's director... of well, explaining it all.

"The port city of saudrick is the closest base we have, the..."

"Didn't we weaponize space already? Why the hell are we not using 'that'."

"Oh excuse me general, do I have to remind you 'that' thing is made for targeting buildings and not oh...i don't know, a naval group?! We haven't even tested it or the effect on it if 'that' is used on the sea! DO you want the world to get antsy of how Lorenial has a-"

"Are you done, general?" The rant of the LDC head gets cut off as a very irritated Frost let's out her murderous intent off. "Sorry, miss president. But I simply don't see the reason why you aren't allowing us to divert forces to the battle." The general sits, her face containing withheld anger.

"Coup or no coup, those are enemy combatants. And are the lives of those men really all worth saving a single person?" A cold glare from the Director all it took to answer that question. But before anything could happen, a R&D representative coughs and speaks up. "As The LDC shared with us all, the fleshcrafters are a group we cannot underestimate. Having a in depth account and subject will help us see the limits of their magic"

"Apart from what the R&D said, we cannot risk an escalation beyond our capacity, Lorenial's economy while capable of sustaining it's forces is just that, capable of maintaining what forces we have. A full scale war would cripple not just our economy but manpower and gdp. This is a war we cannot undertake without preparation." A civil servant from the minister of finances points out.

'Their prioritizing our f14's rather than the drones...' Hersiliah watches from the satellite, her eyes narrowed as the f14 pilots dodge and weave as the UAV's continue to harass and bring some reprieve towards the pilots.

The drones were doing their job of evening-ish the air battle in terms of numbers. Usteo squadron on the other...

Usteo squadron's ADF planes despite the UAV and f14 coverage were still facing some bogeys chasing them. 'Come on....' Usteo 1 muttered, as finally they got a lock on those behemoths.

"All units new orders from command, Stand down!" A female voice shouts, causing brief confusion from Usteo's lead craft.

"What?!"

As the broadcast ended, Nol set his gaze onto Sephynne with a conflicted look. "I'm guessing omitting the fact it was a fleshcrafter who did it...is grounds for giving the sisterhood some leeway to back off?" He mused.

"Can't say I approve of it but, hey, you're the prime minister here not me." He says jokingly, although the fact the head of the sisterhood hasn't made a move concerns him. Even with his 'double agent' act, he didn't get much if at all info about her. That and the mystery of Jendah's killer...

His thoughts get interrupted as Lia pokes him. "Hey, my batteries are all but drained." She yawns. "I don't suppose we can go home now?"

"But then again, considering what little we know about their motives...ugh." Nol silently curses.

Looking at Lia, she's in no state to fight, but even if she were...shi*, do they have no choice but to risk it?

"This is gonna be so dumb but...hey this is already a dumb situation." He sighs, as Lia gives back his phone. Amatheia: [Flinching slightly] She need not worry. I have everything under control. Let her know I will speak with her soon.

Ligeia: For your sake, I hope that's true.

[As Ligeia retreats from her mind, Amatheia shifts her attention to one of her dopplegangers...lurking in the shadows across the street from Nol.]

Lia looks at her with a tired yet almost bemused look. "Do you really wanna ask what you either...intentionally or unintentionally did?" She facepalms a bit, as she finally found a socket to charge her up.

"Well, either one..you indirectly just told us what 'can' the sisterhood do if they ever wished to push that far." She says raising her finger.

"And two, ughh...you do have the foresight that in the eyes of that fleshcrafter or the sisterhood...you led us into a very...probable scenario of them doing the first and also putting a large target with everyone close to u in a single house..like, I don't want to think you're manipulating us but, well.." she pauses.

"You've kinda forced me to rather enjoy listening to music, I now have to look after your family. " she summarizes, looking at Sepphyne not with malice, but slight annoyance at the sheer ridiculousness of her plan on giving her 'rest and layin low'.

---

Nol in the meanwhile was facepalming at the scenario also, 'Well, we could've been at war or fighting Kalia...so, not the worst but...ughhh' he ranted in his thoughts.

He could only hope that they'd get a audience with the sisterhood before anything happens or atleasta guarantee that they aren't gonna get attacked.

'By the angels, I pity the future LDC personell that's gonna stay in this place.' Taking a deep breath, he orders a sweep of their vehicles. 'If I see a dam" IDE on our vehicles...so help me I am gonna strangle the director for this mission.' He jokes but, a part of him is being paranoid.

Vitale’s smirk grows as he listens to Kharzal. A small dry laugh emerges from his lips. He looks around the room, before he looks back to Kharzal. He mutters a few unknown phrases in Italian, before he returns to speaking as he takes her hand and shakes it with his hand.

I’ve dealt with many people like myself, if that’s good enough. Granted, I always knew more than them and took advantage of the weaknesses to their abilities. Most of the people who I have under my thumb don’t know my name, what I look like, or what I sound like. But most importantly, they don’t understand how it works.

Vitale smirks as he confidently poses while leaning back, as King Crimson Requiem copies him. The eyes beneath the plague mask of the Stand glow a dark green, exuding an aura of menacing threat. Vitale thinks for a few moments while he stands back up and King Crimson Requiem slowly breathes. Its breath is rather unusual, but it sounds like someone breathing underneath water. Vitale then continues speaking as he realizes something crucial.

Wait, hold on a moment. Is Sephynne dead? I have a feeling something is not as it seems. Something about this elaborate game says that there’s a piece missing, Kharzal. And that piece must still be moving. This has turned into what is no longer a game, but a matter of war. The black queen has not chanted her funeral march. Regardless…I do have a few ideas, as insane as they may be. Kharzal, do you have any idea who Amatheia has any contact with, specifically those within government influence? If I had the power to make doppelgängers to do my dirty work as my ability, I would doppelgänger people I know are internally power-hungry. It would help hide selfish motivation as it’s common for the power-hungry to want to appear like they’re content with their existence while describing so much more than they actually have.

Lorenial, Albinistan, Tianh, and The state of karafuto

Kharzal: [Once again, she gazes in genuine admiration at King Crimson Requiem, pondering for a moment, before speaking] From what I've gathered, Amatheia attempted to murder Sephynne, after which she impersonated her Foreign Minister, Lorenne Saveth. She was almost successful in starting a war with Lorenial before it was revealed...Sephynne was not dead in the first place. I'm not sure how this happened - Amatheia enjoys the act of killing too much to not ensure Sephynne's death. There must be unknown factors at play here. [She pauses] I would like to know your ideas, Dear Vitale. As for who Amatheia is in contact with...that would be everyone, as required of her position as Mother's Mouth.

But if we look at who else would've been crucial for her plan to start an intersystem war...and who immediately agreed to mobilize forces on her behalf... [A smile of realization crosses her face] Defense Minister Mikolan Ondine. He rose through the ranks of the Political Police, more than once using his power to simply jail people he didn't like. It's said he was appointed to Sephynne's government only because he has so much dirt on everyone else. Someone who, in Amatheia's eyes, would be perfect. [Kharzal crosses over to the cabinets again, this time opening a lower drawer filled with seemingly unrelated paraphernalia. She shifts a few things, looking intently, before procuring a small badge and bringing it over to Sarakkha] An award from his days in the Political Police. Left it behind when he ran for Council. Probably a bad look in a popular election.

[Sarakkha takes several deep, shuddering sniffs at the badge, then turns her death mask towards the exit of Sone Tal Shrine, growling softly. Kharzal admiringly strokes her charge's back]

Excellent. [Turning to Vitale] Let's hear your ideas. I sure hope it involves hunting. Sarakkha is excited now...

Vitale smirks as he looks at Kharzal. Requiem appears behind Vitale again, with its disturbed breathing echoing throughout the room. A small whooshing sound can be heard as it walks around. While it does, Vitale continues with this new information.

This Mikolan Ondine…he would perfect for someone with ulterior motives to copy. I would likely pick him as well. But we can never be too sure. For all we know, Amatheia could be using this as a red herring. Do we have any idea of his, well, let’s just say place of existence. This Ondine is an excellent example of why I have little desire to consider politicians as human beings. They’re sociopaths the masses choose because they have no will. But if Sephynne is alive…this complicates matters. I suppose she can extend her own life’s existence. I’m sure she’d appreciate the removal of this…blight. If need be, they will stand by Sarakkha.

Vitale nods his head, affirming Ondine as a target. His smirk widens as King Crimson Requiem walks next to him. As Vitale turns to the left, he looks at his hair flowing. It shows him an image of a man in fear and cowering away. It continues with the man begging for his life in front of Sarakkha, until he starts falling apart. As he looks back towards Kharzal, he laughs dryly.

Yes, it appears as if we might have found our…complication. A brutal one, at that. But yes, let us hunt this Ondine down.

[Kharzal reaches for the cage enclosing her charge's death mask and flexes her fingers in a complicated motion - with a surprisingly fleshy clink, the lock disengages. The moment the cage clatters on the floor, Sarakkha bounds out the gates as though released from invisible shackles, shuddering sniffs as she locks onto the scent of their target. As Kharzal and Vitale follow along into the busy roads of New Adytum, a red mist seemingly envelops the trio - and bystanders that would probably otherwise be shocked at the anomalous sight pay them no attention. In fact, the three move unobstructed by the crush of humanity, cars, and assorted menagerie of city life, seeming to phase through solid objects as Sarakkha leads the way in a direct line towards what can only be assumed as their target.]

[A good hour of tracking later, the three are led to the foot of a massive, imposing brutalist structure, looming over the surrounding blocks like a leviathan. The coat of arms above the front gates denote it as the State Security Commission Headquarters, the Belyana Building. As Kharzal leans towards her, Sarakkha points her face upwards, seeming to gaze at one of the windows tens of stories above them. Kharzal waves her hand, and in a swirl of red mist the three appear in an ornately furnished conference room. Given that those assembled pay no heed to their sudden appearance, they are apparently still undetectable, wrapped as they are by Kharzal's shroud. They scan the faces gathered around the large table in the center of the room - at its head, in the prestigious uniform of the highest-ranking officers, sits Radelia Coridón, SSC Director-General, while to her left...their target, in a simple but handsome black politician's suit, Defense Minister Mikolan Ondine, currently in the middle of an impassioned monologue.]

Ondine: ...Sephynne being alive changes nothing. Lorenial and Maura remain threats to our national security. I strongly oppose this reckless withdrawal of our troops when we are so close to achieving regional stability with the pacification of the hostile Maurian government...

Kharzal: [Turning to Vitale] What do you think, friend? Should we make ourselves known now, or wait for this man, who clearly loves the sound of his own voice, to finish his diatribe and retreat to a more...private location?

Life decided to do its thing, but we back

"In the dark we were forged. The light turned its back on us. We shall do as we wish from now on." The insurgents knocked down the door of the warehouse. They stole the anomalous items and left.
