I am all for a regional map for East Asia, and soon I will be promoting a few active nations to regional officers. You will be expected to be in charge of your assigned areas. Only one will have the chance to change the WFE in my place, that way our regional information stays up to date.

Well a regional map would be good, any idea who is going to create said map? I'm not the best, but if no one is around to do it I'll try.

In my Factbook I have a map of the area my country would generally cover but I can reduce that if other countries have claimed certain areas for the sake of the region. If possible I'd like to have some part of Japan if we do divide it up, if not well... I can work around it. Maybe incorporate it into my Factbook somehow.

I also have Hokkaido, which is a pretty important part of my nation... but I'd feel kind of an asshole saying "well, I got here first so it's mine".
Maybe we could reserve Japan for now and sort out how we're going to divvy it up later?

Hm... that sounds fair for the moment. I think, as unfair as it is... when we do get around to deciding we should let the active nations who stake the claim get the claim. We can't hold off territory for people who aren't going to be active in the region. Either way I like your plan, lets just put claims down on the non-disputed areas first and then work out some kind of deal with the others.

Flurosia China prc and I have talked about our maps, we've adjusted them a little so my country doesn't just swallow East Asia. I've released all of my countries in the Vietnam area and my map only has Southern Japan marked instead of the entire country until the dispute is finished.
China and I both have our maps on our Factbook, so if you start the map soon check those out and put our territories in please! :)
If you read China's Factbook you'll learn he's not just representing China also Vietnam and a few others. Many thanks guys!

I've had a shot at a map of East Asia. Slight problem, there's only three nations on there and it's already getting full- like, REALLY full.
The greater north-korean republic China prc, would either of you be willing to give up some territory? Bear in mind you can still claim territories as yours in your official canon even if they're not yours on the map.
I could also fix the problem by expanding the map to the whole world, but I thought that would kinda defeat the point of the region. Plus people might not be too willing to join the region "East Asia" if they're located in, say, Western Europe.

I have a lot of little useless islands around you could get rid of if you'd like? I'm fine with that, sorry you're having so much trouble with it all. You could always create like a prototype map and let me see what you've removed and whatnot?

I also think we should have some kind of "cap" on how much territory any new nations joining the region can claim, but we can cross that hurdle when we come to it.

That's looking pretty good, if you're still worried about the map being full I can edit my map for you a little more to reduce the size again?
Also I agree on that, don't want someone coming in and claiming every single blank space.
