ok jokes aside, i might actually create a pieitzer using whatever i can get my hands on, it wont be able to hit targets accurately but its probably still something that the cape should be proud of, ill post updates whenever i have time or after i go to school

current update on the pieitzer:

ive got it all planned out in my head, the pie used will be an apple pie encased in a harmless shell that if possible, will break open on impact
i will test the pieitzer with 500m, 1km and 1km 500m targets.

Howdy! Please don't double-post; we prefer if you edit or consolidate messages instead. Also, the pieitzer sounds awesome! I've never encased pie in a shell before, and that sounds like a stellar idea to avoid losing some to gravity en route. I've mostly favored pie trebuchets, myself, with the occasional Intercontinental Ballistic Pie.

current after-school update on the pietizer:
the current main problems are how the shell would break open, launching it and being accurate so its more problems on how to actually launch the pie instead of the whole thing
thankfully i have a friend who likes tech and computer-related stuff, so hopefully he can help develop the design of the pieitzer, also i may have created a platform to launch well, nearly every object.
edit: wait theres intercontinental ballistic pies? we may as well create a thermonuclear airplane-borne pie

You can also join our RP, over in Dreams of Good Hope if you'd like! Just gotta find someone to RP with, which most everyone is usually willing. Just ask! And it's character rp, btw, meaning you play as characters within your nation

Speaking of RP... Galliadurm, Fivalia

RP is stalled.

I don't think it strictly has to be a character rp; that just happens to be what many nations do. Roxium, for example, I believe does a less character-focused rp. My rp also started out not being character-focused, but it has largely shifted over time since then to a more character-focused rp.

i thought roleplays here were more diplomatic, like playing as your own nation not character rps

I tend to alternate between general nation shenanigans and character stuff in the RP.

You can play it however you want to

First major assignment for the semester is over! didn't think I could pull off a 40% essay when they only gave me 2 weeks to do the thing but managed to pull it off.

I'm gonna take a lil me time but RP's should be done by the end of the day AEST

Things are really ramping up with my degree and getting heaps busier but thank y'all for your patience! It's really awesome to have support from you guys.

o7, Aeri out!

and take your time; it would be perfectly understandable if you are a bit tired of writing after that.

When I did stuff, it depended on the situation. For more delicate, intimate matters (international diplomacy for example) I'd bring in a named character or two and have them interact with others. The next step up would be a larger scale situation with less importance to thoughts and more weight on actions (like a battlefield or international crisis), where I would have various unnamed characters running around, but also include plenty of narration and use of the royal "we". Finally, for orchestrating wars or space combat I generally just took the role of a narrator or supervising general and dictated what happens.

So yeah, however you want to approach RP works.

Yeah haha, ah I want to work on my nation's factbooks but this degree is super writing heavy.

I’m terribly sorry y’all but I’ve been a bit busy for RPs lately. Hopefully I can pick back up next month. Sorry for not saying anything sooner.

It really depends. Generally regions choose one over the other, Cape tends towards character, but as others have said it’s really up to you.

Aerlanica you wanna suppress this? Looks like this guy is just jumping from region to region posting this same message. Posting a link everywhere seems like a bad way to stop the spread of the link.

No worries! just jumped on to read the posts so I can think about them at work and conceptualise a response.

Stay safe y'all!

i would say the guy needs to be punished but pretty sure he has a critically low amount of milk in his fridge, if there even is a fridge in his basement that is.
like for christs sake, the currency of his nation is called "gyat", he's probably 9 years old, and hes already left the group already so nothing we can do about it. edit: im refering to the "byzantineosomething" guy

Oh woah, I'm back after a while and now I'm the 3rd biggest economy in the region.

Welcome

Anyone else vote against World Assembly proposals because it so often seems like an echo chamber? It's silly, know, but it feels fun to add one more "nuh uh" vote to the constant landslide motions.
