The Battle of Draganisia:

As both armies gathered they all knew what was coming next. Jake knew the plan. “In order to keep them away from the city we have to stop them here. Our air forces will engage their Airship fleet while the rest of us take out their ground forces head on. If we fail here there will be nothing left to stop them from destroying Draganisia and everyone in it.”

Jesse however didn’t like how it was going. “There is still much more to this than we know. There has to be. I feel like this whole battle is just one big trap.”

Jake agreed in a way. “Because it is. If we don’t stop them here they will surround the city and wipe us out. We have to hit them now or else it’s already over.”

Brian went in front of all of them in his Dragon form and took out his sword from it’s sheath as on the other side of the field Mara and Makarov did the same.

Both armies readied their guns and other weapons as both armies charged at each other. One way or another it was going to end here… Or so they all thought.

The Main Tanks stayed back and we’re used as Artillery as air squadrons engaged each other overhead. This was the largest battle anyone there had seen since the Great Oceanic War at the very least.

As the armies fought each other Brian got into one on one combat against Mara while Jesse and Jake did the same against Makarov as their forces fought all around them.

Eventually Jesse and Jake were both knocked down hard by Makarov as explosions happened around them as the battle continued.

Makarov mocked them. “You really think that you can beat me? That you can stop the coming Darkness? No. You will die here and the Darkness will reward me with more power than you could ever dream of. I gave you plenty of chances to join us but you continue to refuse. Now I ask you one last time. Join us and we will bring Salvation to the entire Galaxy!”

“You know that is never going to happen!” Jesse answered.

“Yes I do.”

Jesse got up and felt renewed. He started attacking Makarov with a vengeance. It was getting harder for Makarov to block his sword attacks as the battle continued.

Eventually Jesse knocked Makarov to the ground as Jake stood next to him.

Jake. “I wanted to believe that a part of my brother was still in there. But it’s clear now that he is truly dead. Before we have our vengeance give a message to your Darkness masters.”

Jake then stabbed Makarov through the heart with his sword. “Tell them that we are coming for them!”

While Jake stabbed him Jesse then cleaved off Makarov’s head. “Nevermind. We will tell them ourselves.”

Meanwhile Brian continued to fight Mara but neither of them gained an advantage because they were too evenly matched. “I don’t want to fight you Mara but I can’t let you destroy everyone here either.”

When Makarov died it sent out a shockwave of energy. It looked like it weakened the other Dark Dragons near them or at the very least confused them? Was Jesse’s theory true? Had he been controlling them the whole time or at the very least had they been drawing power from him?

Either way it seemed to be enough to turn the tide of the battle as the Dark Dragons began to retreat even though Mara was still fighting.

“Its over.” Brian told her. “Stop fighting and we can still peacefully end this.”

Mara however didn’t believe him. “Is that the same offer you gave our father before you and Gladius stabbed him in the back?! I would rather die fighting than be executed like a coward!”

Brian. “If you don’t surrender now I can guarantee that you will die because if I don’t kill you than they will.” He said while pointing to Jesse and Jake who were both approaching with their swords still drawn. “Its over Mara! I didn’t want to kill our father but if I didn’t than he would have willingly gave us to the Darkness just like Makarov wanted to. Please don’t make the same mistake he did.”

Mara didn't want to fight either but there was much more going on than any of them knew. She knew what she had to do even if they didn't like it.

Mara. "You really think I wanted this? Makarov manipulated us all and he paid the price for it but he was also a necessary evil to help fix the real problem. You betrayed us all. Instead of standing with us you killed your own family!"

Brian. "What our father wanted to do went against the teachings of Bahamut himself. After everything you have done you are lucky to have survived this long!"

Mara. "What I have done is necessary to save all of Abbaddon. Sometimes a few must die so that everyone else can live. You know that as well."

Brian. "Perhaps. But I will never let you destroy Draganisia no matter what stupid reason you come up with. And if you won't stand down than I will do what I must."

They fought some more with their swords and as Mara's forces continued to retreat Brian was able to knock her onto her knees. "I am sorry Mara. But if you won't back down than I will do what I have to in order to protect my people... No matter how much I don't want to."

He brought up his sword ready to execute her as she looked right into his eyes. "Do what you have to traitor!"

DOWN WITH THE WA! GLORY TO ST ABBADDON!

We could probably improve our region by repealing the St Abbaddon Liberation Act

It'd been nearly a week since he arrived on board the Tau. He still hadn't been able to negotiate himself off the ship. For one, the Leuthenists were moving closer to them day by day. Sooner or later, the Leuthenists would soon clash with them. And that meant Eliezer couldn't leave the ship yet.

Tau had assigned him as part of a crew of secondary anti-aircraft gunmen. They were located at one of the sides of the battleship, Tau, and were tasked with the loading of a 20mm naval cannon. He'd gotten along with the other five members of his small AA squad. Iliadis, also known as "Ash" by the crew was the squad's commander, he led the squadron as they managed the naval cannon; Evi was just called her name, she was another member of the squad; Jessica, also called "Chara" was second to Iliadis, she was quite tough and rowdy; there was also Hristos and Tasos but they weren't relevant.

The squad just called him "Alexander" and nothing more. Stuff had not changed onboard the ship since he was placed into duty, carrying shells, loading them, fixing the turret. However, the entire ship crew had gotten more panicked as news of a possible attack from the Leuthenists loomed. Slowly they were getting closer day by day, their newly mobilized fleet ready to strike and capture its prey. Admiral Tau had diverted the ship westward, hoping to reach a small bay where the rest of the Rowandale fleets were hiding out and operating in secret.

"It's north of the Rowandale strait but far enough away where the Leuthenists won't patrol." She'd told the crew about her plan. "Once we regroup, we will begin preparing a defense against the Leuthenist fleet. Where hopefully we can win them in a decisive battle." Her voice cracked with the last statement though. Eliezer knew she was scared as well, all of them were, but this was the last stand for them. . .and probably for him.

"Turn starboard!" One of the officers called towards the Admiral.

Immediately, the ship began turning on its right as it began heading north to enter a strait of water. This strait would lead directly towards the bay.

As the Tau moved through the strait of water—no longer moving to the right side, only forward—two small corvettes suddenly flanked the battleship. They provided an escort as the large battleship moved through the water, the sun gleaming on its compact armor, and the clear-blue water lapping the sides of the ship. Eliezer looked around at the surrounding areas of the strait. Walls of ancient soil and rock formed a natural canal within the strait, rubber and kapok trees sat still as they grew high within the barriers of the jungle, ferns grew from whatever side of the strait together with tall bush plants that even he was confused of what they were.

As he lost himself in the landscape, the ship suddenly docked. Hristos touches Eliezer's shoulder with his finger. "Come on we gotta start carrying stuff off the ship."

Eliezer nods and quickly heads toward a pile of crates already stocked on the larboard. Together he and Hristos take one crate after another until finally after several long hours, their entire pile is completely empty. They sit down on a metal bench located on the larboard and begin having a short chat about life in Oceania and Rowandale, and a comparison between the two. Soon though, Ash calls them both back to the squad and takes them to the campsite where the Rowandale defense forces are gathering.

They walk towards a large gathering of soldiers and officers alike, whom have formed a circle around Tau and several other officers. Eliezer presumes they are probably admirals and rear-admirals in charge of other ships. As Eliezer stands behind the circle, Hristos calls him to sit down on a rotten log that was in hearing distance but behind the circle. He sits down and listens to the conversation. . .

"—fight we shall! Those Anarchists have already enslaved thousands of our fellow kin, but they will not take my head! Or those of my men!" An unknown admiral—Eliezer presumes—yells in a tone of fury and motivation but with slight fear as well in his voice. He opens his mouth to continue but is interrupted by Tau.

"We still have the option of peace," She cuts the admiral off. "We can still try and negotiate with the Leuthenists. Maybe they'll let us through the strait unharmed if—"

"And hedgehogs fly!" the admiral that Tau interrupted speaks up. "Leuthen will never negotiate with us. You know that Tau, just as all of us know. Your father left to go negotiate with that bastard, and now he hasn't come back ever since." He looks at Tau and her face reveals a hint of sadness. "I'm sorry...I—I shouldn't have said that." He lowers his head.

Tau doesn't say a word for a moment. Then she turns back to the admiral. "I'm sorry as well—sorry for not having saved them when I could have, Truvelo. I know how slaughtering Leuthen is what you after, after what they did to your family, but it's up to the rest of everyone to decide if we should sue for peace or fight." She turns to the crowd of soldiers. "Stand there if you wish to sue for peace," she points towards a rubber tree located not far from the log that Eliezer and Hristos were sitting on. "And over there if you believe we should fight." directing her finger at a shrub of golden bellapples growing below the shade of a tree.

People choose their side. Hristos chose the side to sue for peace, not even taking a moment to think. Eliezer takes his time. He tries to find some motivation as to why he should go for peace, but he couldn't find any reason. Jinha was dead, Simmons had gotten injured, he'd been tormented while in a concentration camp, he was nearly executed by the Leuthenists—the reasons just kept getting longer and longer. Eliezer knew what side he was taking.

He walked towards the golden bellapples and stood alongside the warmongers.

"It seems we have a vote," says Tau.

Two figures. A black-uniformed and well-decorated officer stood watching screens extending throughout the room of footage of the current naval advancements. The other was an amber-haired feminine figure, her eyes darting to every screen with keen interest.

"They underestimated us. They will soon pay. Blood for blood," the officer stood still. "Isn't that how it's always worked, Ms. Nelson?

"Heil Leuthen, that's how it's been done, and that's how it will always be done," Nelson responds. "However, Leuthen are you sure that we're not going to get beaten again?" she pauses for a bit to wait for a response. But all she gets is a vicious stare from Leuthen. "Sorry...I was just curious."

He sighs, "If Colonel Jackson doesn't screw up with air support, then I'm positive we will win. However Megan, if we somehow by a miracle lose this battle, we have no choice but to fully evacuate everything up north. That means we have to abandon any ships here—don't want that to happen."

Megan nods. "For the Union!" Her cheer is cut short from an incoming message that appears on the screen. She walks towards one of the computer monitors and suddenly a transmission comes through.

Eliezer knew what the cold felt like.

But this cold was different.

It'd been when he was around 9 years old. He'd play with his sister Elizabeth in the large pool of snow outside the front yard. They'd build snowmen, throw snowballs, play with other kids. Even then, the cold was never a problem for Eliezer, he loved the cold and its snow.

But this wasn't snow or cold: it was freezing, damp, and misty. And the horrible rain brought memories of Helena, whom he had left behind back in the village east of Rowandale.

Too many horrible memories, he thought.

His thoughts were cut off by a shout from his squad commander, Ash.

"Keep your eyes peeled on the gun," shouts Ash, "Admiral's orders are very strict."

Eliezer remembers why he was standing here. He was helping his fellow squad member, Hristos, to scan the surroundings with a pair of binoculars. Eliezer lifts the pair of binoculars and continues to scan the empty ocean. He’d been doing this for 3 days now, ever since the majority vote for fighting against the Leuthenists had passed.

But only a couple hours ago, several Leuthenist ships had gotten into a battle with some scout ships sent by the Rowandale remnants. They’d relayed a message back to the rest of the fleet, sacrificing themselves in a suicide battle. Now here was the Admiral telling them to brace themselves for the upcoming battle.

Hristos was scanning the sky and sea with his eyes on the autocannons sight. To and fro. Left to right. Side to side. He scanned and searched for his prey but he couldn’t find it.

“Alexander,” Hristos remarks. “It’s strange that we’re about to fight some of your fellow countrymen.” he quickly adds, noticing Eliezer’s upset expression. “Sorry. Not that you are like the—”

“It’s fine. I forgive you.” Eliezer tells him.

He knew that Hristos hadn’t meant it. But what if in the end they only saw the bad side of Eliezer? Thanks to the Leuthenists, he felt that he was now looked at as a possible threat, just because he was an Oceanic. He pushes the thought away. Aligning the binoculars once more with his eyes, he stares to the clouds to hunt for possible prey.

“Nothing here,” he sighs. “Just clouds, some mist, damp fog.”

“Look harder, idiot,” one of the female squadron members, Jessica, responds harshly. “One mistake and we’re all dead.”

“Alright, Chara,” he adds. “We get it.”

Jessica (Chara) bounds back to a discussion with the squad leader, Illadis. Another squad member, Evi, walks towards Hristos and Eliezer as they continue to scan the skies.

“Don’t mind Jessica,” Evi smiles warmly. “She’s just scared.”
“Aren’t we all?”

Hristos spoke in a bitter tone. “We’ll probably all be dead in a couple of hours,” he mutters. “Sadly, no one will remember us in the end.”

“I will.”

Eliezer responds to Hristos, pissed at what he was saying. “Your acting as if this your last time on this earth.”

“What if it is?” Hristos responds, “What if we don’t survive this?”

“The more you think about it,” Eliezer says, “the higher the probability you’re going to die.”

Hristos responds bitterly. “How should you know?”

Because it happened to a friend of mine.”

Hristos opens his mouth to respond but instead closes it with regret shearing his tongue.

-----------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------

Wave after wave. The bullets continued to rain down as gunner jets of the Leuthenists continued to circle around the Tau and rain hell down under them. Hristos held his ground, firing hundreds upon hundreds of rounds per minute. As Evi had one called it, “spray and pray.”

Eliezer took cover behind the autocannon as Hristos fired round after round at the aircraft circling above them.

“You haven’t hit any of them.”

“I noticed.” Hristos firmly responds.

One of the aircraft, an Eagle-60 one of the fourth-generation Oceanic aircraft, continued to launch straffing attacks along the rear of the ship. It continued to spray bullets with ease, cutting down three sailors as they rushed to take cover to avoid the raining hell, they screamed with terror as they were rippled with bullets piercing through cloth and flesh.

“Dammit,” Eliezer mutters, “We’re getting killed by just aircraft right now.”

Hristos aims the autocannon towards the aircraft hovering around the rear of the Tau, the flexible mount being able to turn around at the correct angle. Hristos aims, placing his retina close to the sight, and fires several rounds. Suddenly a massive glow of flame erupts from the aircraft—shrapnel falls into the ocean, with pieces of metal and lead sinking beneath the waves of the sea.

“Good one,” Eliezer slaps Hristos on the back. “Two more.”

With one of the aircraft down, the two others suddenly began withdrawing. The other AA crews began firing at them with rounds of shells and bullets chasing after the escaping aircraft. The aircraft still escaped, however, engulfing themselves in the gray clouds of rain.

Evi lifts her head from taking cover behind a metal pole that served as a lamp for Eliezer’s crew whenever the electricity for lights wasn’t turned off.

“That was scary,” she mutters.

“I’ve seen worse,” Eliezer responds back.

Evi walks over and helps Hristos begin reloading the 20 mm. Ash, the squad commander walks over to the three, with Jessica (Chara) and another member, Tasos, at his heels.

“Good job, both of you,” Ash smiles. “Not you, Evi.”

Evi frowns.

“That was only the first wave. Radars have shown more waves of aircraft are coming from the east. Tau’s orders are to stand head high and shoot first.”

Eliezer and Hristos nod with understanding.

As both Ash and Chara head back to the conning tower to discuss plans with the other officers on board the Tau, Eliezer and Hristos now with Tasos and Evi actually helping them, begin to reload and fix the autocannon. Several bullets from the spray of the aircraft had hit some areas of the autocannon, but it wasn’t any huge damage that would prevent use.

“Everythings good here.” Tasos finishes examining.

Hristos places himself back in position. “Alright,” he also adds. “Thanks.”

Eliezer hands Evi the binoculars for her to become useful. Hristos had told him that Evi was sixteen, which meant she wasn’t even old enough to be in the defense forces of Rowandale. But because she had gotten on board the Tau when the ships of Rowandale left to escape being captured, Tau had made her a sailor on her ship. Though she was young and stupid, sometimes, she still had the heart to be useful—when it was convenient.

“See anything, Ev’?” Eliezer asked as he was watching Hristos.
“No,” she responded

“Alright,”

At that exact moment, a shell hit their exact position.

BOOM!

And Tau had exited the conning tower door.

“Holy sh**!”

-----------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------

The battle had begun. Reconnaissance from one of the scout aircraft of the Rowandale remnants had reported two Oceanic fleet carriers within the arsenal of the Leuthenists. The Tau began firing all of its guns to its broadside, massive bursts of smoke and fire erupted as shells began launching themselves from every battery and cannon on board the ship.

Hristos was injured from the blast of the shell and was in the ship’s medical emergency room. Evi was in better condition, but she quit using the binoculars and stood behind Eliezer as he was now the gunner. Tasos began assisting Eliezer in fixing and turning the turret when necessary. Evi reluctantly joined Tasos and began assisting.

A massive wave of aircraft came from the east. Bombers, attackers, fighters, multi-role...the essence of hell was here. Eliezer aimed the autocannon and began firing.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

The bursts of the shells pounded Eliezer’s ears. Every shot was a sound that thundered and shook his ears.

“Down!”

Tasos and Evi took cover behind the cannon, sprays of bullets came pouring down around them, raining like hail. Eliezer’s breathing slowed, each spray of shells from the autocannon acting as his breath.

“I’ve never seen a squadron so big as that,” Evi remarked. “Not even in those air shows they always did in Rowandale.”

“Too bad this isn’t an air show.” Tasos bitterly responded.

Eliezer couldn’t count how many aircraft were hovering above them. 20...50…80...100? It was too many to count, but not all of them we’re targeting the Tau. The majority were heading over to target the other ships that were part of the fleet.

“Alexander!” Chara (Jessica), walks over to the squad. “—wait hold up. Why aren’t you two helping him?”

Tasos responds, “Taking cover from the bullets, right?”

Jessica pours her rage. “SAILOR GET YOURSELF ON THAT TURRET RIGHT NOW!”

Tasos and Evi look at each other. “Yes Ma’am!” both dashing to the turret and begin turning it around and also removing fired cartridges from the floor and placing them into plastic boxes.

Volley after volley of shots were fired from the batteries of the ship. Barrage after barrage. Eliezer continued to fire shots from the autocannon, taking turns with Tasos to prevent himself from breathing the horrible smelling lead that combined with the mist. Hour after hour, the battle was not yet over.

The battle extended into the night. No ships had been sunk yet by both sides, but according to several reports from among the sailots, several ships of the rear guard of the fleet were severely damaged. Submarines had hit their hulls and damaged them severely with torpedoes.

The fog hadn’t softened either, it thickened even more into the night. The surroundings of Eliezer were null, nothing could be seen.

“I’ll take this shift,” Evi told Tasos. “I can shoot with a turret just as good as you can.”

“Okay,” Tasos responded as he gave the autocannon to Evi.

Eliezer remains still as he leans along the railing to examine the dark water. The lamp post provided enough light for Eliezer to still see the water below the ship.

“You alright?” Tasos walks over to him.

“Yeah,” he responds. “I’m just thinking about my sister. If i’ll ever see her again. If i’ll be able to hug her once more. She’s my only family, along with my foster parents, but the only person who is my kin.”

Tasos gives a smile. “Ah, family. I left my mother and brother to join the navy of Trutinia. Never saw them again after that. Never would hug them or say goodbye. I doubt they’re alive. With this crisis, nobody survives.”

"Your Trutinian?"

"Yeah," Tasos nods, "Never was a native Rowandale resident. If I was one, I'd be speaking three languages. You know how serious these guys here are with language-learning when it's their education system."

"Your not wrong," Both of them give short chuckles.

"I do miss the food though. Trutinian food," he adds. "The food onboard this ship is absolute sh**. I'll tell you that much."

They both laugh.

This is the moment of truth, Megan thought as she stood behind a line of airborne infantry. They were at least three thousand feet above the ground, disguised above the thick clouds and fog that formed below. She'd volunteered to join the attack on the Rowandale Defense Forces, as part of a paratrooper group. It'd been expected that the naval units of Rowandale were not going to be easy for a direct assault. So now they were going to attempt to land and sabotage their ships.

This was also her chance to prove her value to the hierarchy of the Leuthenists. Many of Leuthens top officers and advisors still questioned her and doubted her loyalty. Just because she was chosen as the Secretary of Defense for Oceania didn't mean she wasn't loyal, she thought. She'd even killed the president of Oceania and all of the ministers, advisors, and secretaries of the state.

But it wasn't enough.

When she arrived, she knew exactly what she was going to do. Kill as many sailors and soldiers on board that ship until their blood and flesh served as meals for sharks and fish. Their bones would serve as platters for seagulls. Hair serving as decoration for her trophies.

Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted though. The time to jump off the stealth aircraft had started.

She ran over to the edge of the rear door of the plane and jumps. Other soldiers behind her do the same.

The drop was cold. Not cold in temperature, but cold in feeling. She looked around at the clouds which were dark and gray, the mist was gloomy, and the air was nauseous.

"Parachutes!" the commanding officer on the radio calls to the squad.

She pulls the pin behind the large bag attached to her back and begins floating down below to the battleship. Suddenly, its guns begin opening fire, launching sprays of machine-gun bullets and AA shells towards the direction of the paratroopers.

Bahamut help me. she silently prays.

"Rifles! Guns! Man every gun!" Tau had called.

Eliezer had to run across the entire deck towards the nearest staircase that led below the ship, heads through a long passageway, then crosses into the nearest armory room. He grabbed an M16 rifle instead of an M4 rifle and immediately dashes back to the deck through the same areas. Upon arriving at the deck, he aims his rifle up and begins firing.

This is a stupid move on their part, Eliezer silently mutters in his mind.

The Leuthenists were attempting to land paratroopers on their ship. And it seemed it was going to succeed. Eliezer's thoughts raced as he aimed for the white color of a parachute and fired at will. But his shooting was halted by a sudden staffing attack from behind him. Another attack jet, an Eagle-60, was firing sprays of bullets to cover the landing of the paratroopers. Eliezer took cover behind the railing of the staircase, and aimlessly sprayed bullets at the aircraft, half-hoping they would hit.

He rushed back towards his AA gun and saw that Evi was firing the autocannon at the paratroopers.

"Where'd you go?" Evi asked, keeping her eyes on aiming.

"Getting a rifle. Admiral's orders," he responded, half-amused at Evi with her tough expression.

Eliezer aimed his rifle back to the air and continued to "spray and pray". Gunshots were heard from the rear of the ship.

They landed.

More sounds of gunfire we're heard.

"That's not good news," Tasos arrives after heading towards the armory. "Attackers on-board."

"Then we keep spraying and praying," Eliezer responds.

"Spray and pray," Tasos nods

They both aim towards the sky. Eliezer lands several shots on two paratroopers but is unable to confirm if he killed them.

"Alexander!"

Eliezer turns around to see Evi on the turret, pointing towards a looming figure.

"Fire!" Tasos says.

But suddenly in a flash, Tasos falls down the railing of the ship into the dark water below.

"My name is Amelia Charlotte Tang the Third, Queen of the Tang Islands, Lady Paramount of the Blue Tang Islands. . ."

Tang stood shaking uncontrollably as she stared beyond the hills where she stood. Her nerves and condition had worsened ever since she'd left the isles of the Tang Islands which were situated north of Oceania.

She'd been trying to control herself from her several nervous breakdowns with the help of her friends; Queen Alyssa Cinnamon of Cinnamon Hill, Sunheart Bailey Violetshine, and her sister Rebecca Bailey Violetshine. The three stood beside Tang to attempt to comfort her with words. Amelia felt no comfort with words though.

Rebecca Bailey wasn't royal, unlike her sister who was the Duchess of the Yellow Tang Islands. Rebecca was a skilled foreign investor, merchant, and had good knowledge within the field of psychology and medicine. Rebecca essentially operated as Amelia's doctor, with Amelia having lost her entire realm to the swarms of Dark Dragons.

"Keep repeating that," Rebecca encourages Amelia. "It'll help remove those thoughts of derealization. You're real and loved, Amelia. Always remember that." She says this in a soft tone to try and calm down Amelia.

Rebecca stares at the battlefield beyond them. Sounds of explosions and artillery fire are heard from the distance.

The battle is a total loss for us.

She knew the Draganisians were probably going to lose this battle. Thousands were already being evacuated and fleeing to the countryside to avoid the heavy fire within Draganisia City. When Amelia was being escorted by a truck outside the city, she'd seen the horrific effects of war. Children were placed into trucks and busses in mass, driven away from their families because the vehicles did not fit all the children.

Though Amelia had refused to leave the city, Emperor Brian had ordered it directly after seeing the condition that Amelia was in mentally. Rebecca felt pity for her. She'd lost so much and had not stopped mourning her mother and the rest of her family back in the Tang Islands. Amelia had been stuck on Draganisia ever since Prince David's 18th Birthday Ball. Though she'd been able to keep herself sane back then—since she was happier and cheerful.

Tang's depression had begun when the Dark Dragon apocalypse had started. She fell into despair and grief, unable to rescue her friends and people whom were stuck back in the Islands. She fell into grief for her mother the former Queen Amelia Charlotte Tang II, the second queen of the Tang Islands. Devastated and heartbroken, Tang fell into a hard depression while in Draganisia. She nearly even started smoking cigarettes and drinking alcoholic drinks in mass before Sunheart and Alyssa Cinnamon stopped her from doing so.

Tang's tan-colored fleece and her dark-blue jeans were the only clothes that Sunheart and Alyssa had managed to pull out for Tang before they were evacuated. All four of them didn't have enough time to gather clothes and stuff, they had to leave as soon as they could.

"Is this entire world going to be ravaged by foes?" Alyssa stammered with distress in her voice. Her green eyes darkened with fear as she spoke. "I don't want to die by those dragons or invaders." She puts both of her hands in the two pockets of her brown coat.

Rebecca quickly responded to prevent Tang from speaking as she saw Tang open her mouth, "It'll be alright. The Draganisians are strong enough to drive off these invaders. St Abbaddon will never fall." She tried to show a smile but instead, she kept a neutral expression on her face.

Tang looked at the battlefield with dark and emotionless eyes. She then turned around in the opposite direction and went down the hill. Sunheart followed Tang towards the refugee camp that had been set up below. Alyssa and Rebecca had their own conversation.

"What'd Brian tell you?" Alyssa asked. "I saw those guards escort you towards the main court. Is everything alright?" Alyssa had concern in her eyes but mixed with fear.

Rebecca sighs. "He wants us to take care of Amelia. He's hopeful that Amelia has a part to play in the events happening around the world. If she kills herself...well it wouldn't help his argument."

She expects a response from Alyssa but receives none.

Instead, they both look at the battlefield. Wondering about the future.

Perils of the Mind

The stench of the cavern continued to wrinkle her nose with disgust. Rebecca watches as her sister, Sunheart, shifts to and fro within the confines of her sleeping bag. Sunheart wasn't exactly used to sleeping on a cavern floor. Meanwhile, Rebecca looked outside the cavern entrance, two soldiers standing guard, a bright lightbulb hanging off a wire at the cavern entrance. She saw rain pouring down outside of the cave. Rain means mud, she thought within her mind. Bahamut, please help the troops fight, she silently prayed.

It'd been two days—"two freakin days," Sunheart had said. Stuck in the cavern only waiting for a message from the Draganisian troops. Thousands of civilians had been evacuated to caverns, hideouts, bunkers, whatever else they could take people to. Inside this cavern was not just her sister and Queen Amelia but also dozens of more refugees and evacuees who'd been brought to this same cavern with them.

Queen Alyssa of Cinnamon didn't seem to mind the cold stone floor. She was buried in her red-white sleeping bag, already dozing off to the echoes of rain that sounded throughout the cavern. Rebecca envied her, wishing she could fall asleep just as she was.

"You still awake?" Sunheart's eyes peeled in her direction.

"Yeah," she responded. "I'm not tired."

"Same," Sunheart said. "The noise and smell in this cavern are horrible." She wrinkles her nose to signal her disgust.

"You get used to it after some time, I already told you," Rebecca responds, pissed.

Both sisters look at a sleeping Amelia along their side of the cavern. It'd been the first time she'd been sleeping for about a whole week. The last two nights, Rebecca and Alyssa were forced to take shifts to make sure Amelia didn't jump up and go stabbing everyone in the cavern. But luckily she was finally sleeping, peacefully.

"Was she always like this?" Rebecca asks, calmly. "Or was Amelia—"

"She's always had a problematic mental state," Sunheart abruptly interrupts. "For what it's worth, she used to be able to keep herself sane without aid. But this war and dark world has taken a toll on her head."

"Right—anyway... When do you think we're getting out of here?"

"The sooner the better." Sunheart turns around and buries herself within her sleeping bag.

Rebecca turns her head back to the cavern entrance. Her eyes squinting once more to adjust to the low amount of light coming from one lightbulb. The two guards were still there in the same position.

At this point, there was nothing to do but go to sleep. Soon after several unknown hours of trying to fall asleep, she's finally succumbed into dreams of peace.

It's comments like these which are unnecessary.

Don't push it.

I don't think they meant any harm through the message.

Let them be

Ok.

If you have no problems with it than it's fine.

Was just being sure.

After pondering what just happened, and reading your post... This would be a good plot for a role-playing post.

For the record I am voting FOR the repeal of the Pacific's condemnation.

I believe that their government really has changed for the better since then so the condemnation served it's purpose and is no longer needed.

And if they do something bad in the future someone can always write up a new condemnation based on what they did.

I'm also voting to repeal it.

Have they shown us actual proof of change? or have they just not done anything as bad since the condemnation

Daily Question!!

What is the meaning for your nations flag? Who was its designer? What special stories do you have for your countries flag?

My flag was originally designed by a friend whom I call Catylistia. I was in a nation-roleplay discord server and I needed a flag for my nation: Moscow-Kazan. I made a horrible-looking flag, so Catylistia made the one I currently use.

I had to fix the flag a bit using an editing program, as I had pixelated the flag so much. But yeah, this flag design was originally created by Catylistia.

The negative part of this flag is it makes me look like I have a communist nation. It's not a communist nation.
