Looks like you weren’t in the region when the link was sent (as it was sent to everyone within South America at the time).

They have plenty of iconic tunes! I should have included them.

The front page is a summary of majority decisions (i.e. those where one option received >50% support). Other decisions where no option received >50% support remain open (e.g. if there should be term limits).

Any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Thank you to everyone who took part!

Great work, thanks for your effort!

So 46 nations were invited to vote in this regional referendum. Only 17 actually voted which represents 37% of the region. The others which represent 63% did not vote. So I consider that a low turn out. Would have been nice if a greater majority had voted. Seems like our general election results from last year. No one got a majority vote. They were thinking of solving this in the future by having second round elections.

Could be an idea for South America. If no candidate (or ticket) receives 50%+1 vote, a run-off election is held.

Some countries like Argentina and Bolivia have a system where a candidate can win with less than 50% of the vote if they have a large margin over the second place candidate.

Shakira!

I don't know if anyone here is from Perú, but if you are you definitely may have heard of the singer A.CHAL. Really putting on for the South American scene. You guys should definitely check him out, he is the homie! Pop, Indie, Rap & Reggaeton. Staying true to his Latino roots. You love to see it!

Never heard of him. Not a bad singer. But he has been in the US since he was four. And he sings in English which means he could be tied culturally more to the US then to Peruvian culture.
