At the age of 6 Jakalandics start "Junior School" which lasts until they're 11.
At 12 Jakalandics start "Comp School" which lasts until age 18. During this time they will (starting at 16) sit their exams which will determine their final grades they will leave school with. This is a 3 year long period where they will have their finals for certain classes. Each Jakalandic has 8 classes, 3 of which are chosen by the students from a list of 6 in their second year of comp (14yrs old), the six are Art, P.E, Geography, History, Cooking and Drama. The mandatory classes are English, Mathematics, Science, Politics Class and ICT.
The first year of Finals consists of Politics Class and ICT.
The second year of Finals consists of the 3 classes each student choose to study.
And the third and final year of Finals are English, Mathematics and Science.
From 18 to 21 Jakalandics can voluntarily attend College where they study in Topics of their choosing that they'd like to do and specialise in their adult life. College is free up until the age of 24. Jakalandics can also start legally working at 16 both full-time or part time as many things in college such as food, writing equipment except computers etc aren't provided by the Colleges.

21+ = Extended Year

School days
Average school days (excluding nursery and college) are 8 hours long. School days are longer than most nations due to the abolishment of homework aswell as breaks between each lesson for all students other than college students, Jakalandic school days are two hours longer than most. School starts at 8am and finishes at 4:15pm. Each lesson is one hour long and each have 15 minute breaks in between. Each day has a 45 minute lunch time.
