It's not boring if you aren't braindead about it. Nuclear warfare is actually quite interesting in its own right if you read into it, and there's lots of things you can do with it.
The thing is, it's not the nuclear weapons themselves, it's their existence that changes how the story works. It's the mindset.
Hence why it’s disregarded in actual war. They’re the final solution, the end all beat all. In RP you really shouldn’t resort to all out nuclear war. Instead, like how I did, they’re better used for plot, or how they are in real life: deterrence.

Tbh, while I am personally quite fond of the Broken Backed War as well, existing with the tension of MAD is really my favourite spot to be in. It makes me really conniving espionage a lot better because people are more hesitant to turn around and invade you if your cover is blown. So it works quite well in my favour.
By the logic stated above in reference to WMDs, I’m likely packing stocks of weaponized Anthrax and other germ based weapons as well. Which is great.
Now all I need is some SCUDs and I’ll have my own home grown Strat. Weapons arsenal.

Real talk, the system I have in mind is for one Md500 to be carrying a MAD and a Mk.44 torp, while the other totes a sonar buoy launcher and a launcher for depth charges/bombs, something on the level of 4-5 RBU style charges that fire directly down.

I think ICly we’d have to work out a system of mixed crews to train up enough Rhodesian Sailors in order for me to be able to crew them.
Or I just offer to take the current crews under contract as Rhodesian Sailors, pay them handsomely, have them *also* train news crews and, if they are inclined to it, offer them Rhodesian Citizenship as extra payment.

My aim here is to build a modern military. Ive got armor I can copy, infantry gear up to standard, air I can copy, and now I just need an advanced Air Defense network. Wonder if Japan would sell me something.
So, I plan on doing rather slow, limited production runs of the IAR-93 and MIG-23.
Say, half a dozen birds over the next 6 months, with importation of Radar sets and materials for Missile production being imported until able to be reproduced domestically. Rhodesian Air production is small, and mostly civilian grade beyond parts for the BAE lightning and Mirage. I can’t fit Russian BVR to the F-1s, but I can Fit Russian IR missiles to the F-1.
