A nation of almost 30 billion sentient creatures (organic and inorganic)

The Nifty Republic of Tzorsland is a gargantuan, efficient nation, according to most accounts. But the implication of this statement is beyond the grasp of most diplomats and statesmen. With a population just shy of thirty billion sentient beings it is almost four times the population of the entire planet of Sol Three in the early twenty first century. Located in the Pleiades, a region roughly 35 light years in radius around 444 light years away from Sol Three, the Nation State of Tzorsland has moved well beyond the original need for mass based gravity generated habitations (commonly known as planets) and even beyond gravitational mass displacement drive hyper cities to extremely huge collectives of cylinders.

The current population is divided into twelve distinctive groupings, strangely known as tribes. Each “tribe” is in turn divided into twelve more hyper cylinders that are connected into an overall unit. Unfortunately, even with this arrangement some of the cylinders can be a bit crowded at times. Vertical structures can be so high that the rotational gravity can be as low as 0.75g. With this arrangement approximately 200 million sentient beings can live within a single hyper cylinder. The frighteningly efficient Tzorslandian economy, worth an astonishing 11,915 trillion Tzors a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, broadly diversified black market in Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, Retail, and Uranium Mining. Average income is an amazing 401,620 Tzors, with the richest citizens earning 8.7 times as much as the poorest.

The nation is a socialist state, run by a very efficient artificially intelligent (a term never used in Tzorsland because it is considered insulting to non organic sentient beings) hierarchy known as the “City Fathers.” Generally considered “quaint relics of a bygone age” by the other non organic sentient beings, they are given free rein to adjust and regulate the economy by both the organic and the non organic sentient beings, although elections themselves are prohibited so their consent can only be seen by their lack of revolution, in the strictest sense of the word.

If this nation appeals to you, you can forget about it. Immigration to Tzorsland is illegal.
