Overview The name "GoTor" is derived from the word "Go" and "Motor" combined, meaning having a motor (as its first service is a motor taxi) on the go. GoTor has been a pioneer in the sharing economy and the changes in industries as a result of the sharing economy. GoTor has also been the subject of protests and legal actions.
GoTor Technologies Inc. is a Samuderan technology company headquartered in Kotapura, Samudera, operating in more than 100 cities regionwide. It develops, markets and operates the GoTor car and motor taxi transportation, and food delivery mobile apps. It also operates an online rent services called GoRent, along with GoWallet as their e-payment method. Tor drivers use their own cars, although drivers can rent a car to drive with Go-Tor.

GoTor
GoTor was the first transportation service launched in July 2015. It's an online motor taxi service, which is a main mode of transportation for over one-fourth of the Samudera population, and had been increasing in popularity in other countries. Although its safety was doubtful, GoTor keeps improving its motor taxi fleet with a high standard of safety, known as GoTor Safety Guidelines (GoSeen).

It's currently only operating in Samudera because motor taxi is seen as 'hazardous' modes of transportation by many. Still, it's popular in Samudera. Currently, GoTor had 200,000 fleets of motor taxi across the country.
GoCar
Following its success in developing online motor taxi fleet, they launched an online taxi service, dubbed GoCar, in August 2016. What differed GoCar from conventional taxi services, aside from online order, is that the drivers use their own cars as the taxi, subject to a background check and car requirements.
After its successful launch, GoCar services met opposition from local taxi around Samudera, as it always does everywhere where GoCar had opened its service.
Apart from some problems, GoCar services had been spectacularly well received in all countries that it had serviced. Its cheap and accountable price is one of the reason people use GoCar, along with 'fast and instant' service it offers.
