July 2017 Election Results and Appointments

This July, elections were held for the three Justice positions in the Court of the North Pacific. Unlike previous Judicial Elections, a new Attorney General was not elected during this cycle. In accordance with the newly passed Election Reform Bill, a new Attorney General will instead be elected in the September 2017 General Elections.

The first round of voting this election cycle resulted in a majority vote to reopen candidacy declarations. After a second round of voting, all three positions were filled. The new Justices are Zyvetskistaahn, Yalkan, and Yeraennus. The detailed results of this election can be found here.

July 2017 Special Speaker Election

Following the resignation of the previous Speaker, Guslantis, a special election was held to find a replacement. Sheppey, a former Deputy Speaker as well as Acting Speaker, has been elected Speaker of the Regional Assembly. More detailed results of this election can be found here.

New Appointments

Within the past month, the Delegate, Pallaith, has appointed two new government officials.

Darcania has been appointed Minister of Defense. This appointment was made following the loss of citizenship of the former Minister, Sasten.

Egalotir has been appointed Gameside Advocate after the former Gameside Advocate, Praeceps, ceased to exist. This is a relatively new position that was created following the disbandment of the RMB Guardians back in June. You can read more about the Gameside Advocates here.
