History:

History is the same until the end of the Iberian Union (RL)

To make a long story short, Philip IV's troops are able to disengage from the Thirty Years' War and reinforce positions against the Portuguese Restoration War. Battle of Montijo ends in a decisive Spanish victory. The Spanish marched on Lisbon and put down the pretenders and the Portuguese government, preserving the Union.

Colonial history follows roughly the same course (I'll flesh it out) under Habsburgs dynasties. The same royal history is followed as the Spanish dominate the Iberian state - same deaths and such to make it easier on me. History proceeds until the end of fascist Spain, as Portugal had de facto separated in resistance to Franco. The new Iberian government reasserted its control over the area in a short period of time. Most of the population greeted the Iberians as liberators but a nationalist faction remains in Portugal (similar to the IRA).

The current situation is a nation being pulled apart on nationalist grounds as the nation struggles with the pressure of international diplomacy, economic stagnation, and assimilation issues.

Economy:

Type:
Development:

Nominal GDP:

Nominal per capita:

List here:
1) What kind of economy you have (Capitalist, planned, etc.).
2) If you are Developed, developing, or underdeveloped.
3) Your GDP, nominal, with per capita.

Typically, it is easier to figure for per capita first and multiply that by your estimated population to get the total output of your economy. If you need help with your economic numbers, the Ministers will help you.

Military Strength:

Priority:
Equipment:
% GDP:

Eligible Manpower:
Active Troops:

List here:
1) The priority of the armed forces in your country (high, medium, low).
2) What kind of equipment your military uses (what era, country of origin, etc.).
3) What percent of your GDP is used for military funding.

Also, list your military’s Eligible Manpower, which should work out to ~15-20% of your population, as well as your active troop total. Bear in mind that in peace no army is typically very large, so unless you state is autocratic or very high in population your numbers should not regularly approach one million. Your maximum active troop total works out to ~1-2% of your nation’s population, but as I said should rest lower than that.
