    4. Repeals are to be put to the vote on the region Poll. They must be passed by a 4/5 vote ratio.

Code of Conduct

  1. All seamen will conduct themselves in a semi-professional manner.

    1. No member seaman or visitor seaman will be permitted to post inappropriate content on the RMB. This includes:

      1. Pornography or other sexual content

      2. Shock images

      3. Violent or gory images

      4. Blatantly sexist, racist, or discriminatory comments

      5. Personal or direct insults with the intent to injure

    2. Member seamen will conduct themselves in a professional manner when on the forums, when visiting other regions, and when addressing foreign diplomats.

      1. Every seaman will assume a respectful tone and manner when speaking to foreign diplomats and officers.

      2. Every seaman will abide by all rules set by a region he is visiting as well as our regional rules.

Punishments and Repercussions

  1. Every seaman, official or not, is subject to the law and will suffer consequences when they break it.

    1. Each seaman has a right to trial by a jury of his peers, chosen at random by the Owner unless a crime is committed that is out of the ordinary aspects of the law. (see Section III)

      1. When a seaman if chosen to serve in a jury, he/she will observe all the evidence, make a choice based on the evidence, and inform the presiding judge their secret decision.

      2. No man may know what a particular juror voted.

      3. No man may attempt to persuade a juror to vote in a particular manner. Any who do so will be tried for treason.

      4. A judge will preside over the trial, either the Owner, a legal representative of the owner (if the Owner is not available), the Captain, or a legal representative of the Captain (if the owner, the representative of the owner, and the captain are all unavailable). He/she will decide, based on the severity of the crime, the punishment to be handed down to the defendant.

  2. There are several forms of punishment. Each is to be handed down depending on the severity of the crime:

    1. Banishment

    2. Temporary ejection

    3. Removed from a government position for a limited amount of time

    4. Banned from the election cycle for a set number of cycles

    5. Banned from serving in the government.

    6. Any combination of the above.

  3. Concerning special cases

    1. If any combination of the Code of Conduct, Section I, Subsection A, sub-subsections i-v is violated, the offender will immediately be ejected and banned, no trial needed.

    2. If a seaman commits an offense while in another region, he/she will be subjected first to that region's law, then to our law according to his offense.

    3. If a seaman commits or is suspected of committing treason, he/she will be tried by a tribunal: Cabin Heads and the Owner. If convicted, he/she will immediately be banished. The accused will forfeit all government positions on his/her court summons until further notice.

  4. Tipping the Black Spot

    1. As with good pirate tradition, when the crew is dissatisfied with an officer's job, they will tip him/her the black spot. This will be carried on in this region.

      1. If any one or more crew member(s) are not satisfied with an officer's performance, they will publicly tip him/her the black spot on the RMB

        Nation and office being tipped:
        Nation tipping:
Reason why (please have a good one):
        Nominee for replacement of office:

      2. The crew will then cast their votes, either against or for. To pass it must have a 9/10 ratio. A crew member can vote to remove the officer, but nominate a different person to replace. When this happens, the replacement who has the most votes will become the new officer.

      3. The officer will immediately relinquish his power and replaced by the specified candidate. If there is no specified candidate with the most votes, the Owner will break the tie.

Ship Elections and Positions

  1. Open elections shall be held regularly. Once every month, on the thirteenth day of the month, all the elected positions will open to anyone who is not prohibited from doing so (see above). The candidates must announce their intention of running 72 hours before the elections begin. If there is only one candidate for a position when the 72 hour mark is reached, they will automatically win by right of forfeit. The votes will not be confirmed until the day after the elections close. Then results of the elections will be announced and their effect immediate.

    1. There shall be NO bribing, cheating, or any form of favoritism. Anyone found altering the results, bribing, or cheating in any form will be tried for perjury.
