Roles and Responsibilities of Member Nations

All member nations have a responsibility to stay active. Upon entering SHIELD, each member must join the forum here. All new members must choose to join either the Intelligence or Operations Divisions of SHIELD. All members must have only one country in SHIELD to maintain ties with leadership. All members in the Operations Division must have one puppet nation located in SHIELD Puppet Storage. Members of the Intelligence Division are also encouraged to have puppets, but are not required to do so. Although voting is not compulsory, all members are strongly encouraged to vote on all polls, especially those regarding elections. Any member may run for the Council simply by declaring their candidacy to the Director, either of the Deputy Directors, or the Council Chairman. This must be done during the candidacy window, which begins 10 days prior to the election and ends 2 days prior to the election. Candidate may announce their intentions to run to the region before this window, but may not officially be considered a candidate until they declare properly during the window.
