Vote For GA resolution International Patent Agreement
Resolution Analysis
The resolution is the latest of several proposals for an international system of patent recognition. The earlier resolutions all contained significant flaws such as allowing nations to opt out of recognizing patents and to trade in patented items with nations outside the WA. They were either rejected or quickly repealed. The new resolution has avoided the previous difficulties by requiring all WA nations to recognize approved patents and applying its restrictions to all trade, not just trade within the WA. Its introduction will benefit the economies of WA member nations, particularly in the area of scientific advancement.
For these reasons, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs encourages a vote for this resolution.
