Special Election for Vice Delegate - Candidacy declarations open!

In a surprising turn of events, [region]The North Pacific[/region] finds itself without a Vice Delegate, as [nation=short]Abacathea[/nation] lost his Regional Assembly membership for failing to meet voting activity requirements. That's right people, it's election time in [region]The North Pacific[/region] again!

A Special Election for Vice Delegate has now begun. Candidacy declarations are currently accepted [b][url=http://forum.thenorthpacific.org/topic/7276065/]here[/url][/b], and everyone who has been a Regional Assembly member since November 4th is eligible to stand. 

Candidacy declarations will remain open until November 24th, and voting will begin immediately afterwards. Everyone who is a member of the Regional Assembly at that time can vote. There is still plenty of time to process RA applications, so if you are not already a member but would like to vote, make sure to apply for membership [b][url=http://forum.thenorthpacific.org/topic/6923980/1/]here[/url][/b].

In the meantime, and for the duration of the election, Security Councillor [nation=short]Novare Res[/nation] will be serving as Acting Chair of the Security Council, a role usually held by the Vice Delegate. Furthermore, [region]The North Pacific[/region] will be flying the traditional flag of [nation=short]Abacathea[/nation], continuing a regional tradition of honouring outgoing Delegates and Vice Delegates by using their flags as the regional flag.
