Veshan National News Newspaper: Recent Major Events

Two years after the completion and success of the first Veshan colonization project, the Veshan government went ahead with the first round of internal sabotages in the Ivirrson Conglomerate, and the sabotages were untraceable; the sabotages left Ivirrson with a large gap in its management structure, and many of the corrupt shareholders, investors, and managers were hit by government netrunners, ending in the higher management of Ivirrson being rendered unable to perform their jobs. Investigations were conducted by Ivirrson and the Veshan government, and no lead was ever found, but the Veshan government had found its first attempt to be successful at preventing Ivirrson from continuing with their plans to hold the Veshan Space Program to themselves. The Ivirrson Corporation Conglomerate was left crippled by the attacks, and the Veshan government was not even found to have committed such an act. Soon afterwards, around 20 groups of 3 people each descended upon the Ivirrson Corporation Conglomerate HQ Plaza, taking the conglomerate by surprise, and one of the 10 HQ buildings was blown apart by an explosive device that was placed and activated in an elevator. Investigations into the attacks found a civilian anti-corporate militia group known as the Lunar Angels was responsible for the attacks on the Ivirrson Energy LLC building. The group was found guilty, but some members were let go after it was found that those specific members hadn’t been involved in the attacks. More details are currently required to determine the identity of the group’s leader, but it was made clear that whoever they are, they will face charges once they are found. In other news, the people of Vesha have been anticipating an upcoming celebration of freedom that is to be celebrated on September 17th, and the event will include floats and a lot of partying across the nation. In any event, the Veshan Freedom Day celebration will take place in Æristrøv and surrounding cities, and President Gordon Sedrick Freeman will be there to make a speech and to make a statement of the nation address to the people.
