The Government of the United Republic of Aesica has today published Executive Order 004 Ministry of World Assembly Affairs to outline the creation of a new Ministry of World Assembly Affairs, and outline the powers, duties, and responsibilites of the office.

The Government is excited to announce the creation of a new dedicated Ministry to manage the region's World Assembly program. The World Assembly is one of the fundamental parts of NationStates, and simply membership is the barest requirement for citizenship in Aesica. Despite this, the WA has been vastly underutilised since the foundation of our region. With the halls of the General Assembly now reset, and interest in the World Assembly repiqued across the game to a level like many of us who have been on the site have never seen, it is critical that Aesica takes advantage of this glaring opportunity for activity by engaging with the World Assembly.

The Government is hereby creating the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs, which shall be empowered with the Regional Officer power of Appearance, in order to enable them to update the World Factbook Entry with World Assembly voting recommendations. Beyond the onsite power necessary, the Ministry will be empowered to run the offsite World Assembly voting. The primary duties of this role shall be:

• Organising votes on resolutions to advise the Delegate on how to vote, then sharing their results on the RMB.

• Facilitating discussion and debate on resolutions, especially through our offsite platforms.

• A monthly newsletter for recent WA resolutions passed and what’s upcoming in the next month of the World Assembly, where the Ministry will collaborate heavily with Communications and Foreign Affairs to publish this.

• Eventually, the submission of Information For Voters for resolutions, which will be a long term goal for the Ministry once WA interest has been drummed up, where dispatches containing the region's official argument are published.

We are excited to announce the full creation of this Ministry and will work to build this small part of Aesica into a staple for the region. The Government is proud to announce that it has already secured a Ministerial nominee, a user who has been very active in the World Assembly on the NationStates Forums already, has shown great interest in the World Assembly since joining the region, and has the required skillset to develop this Ministry.

This executive order was issued on Wednesday 15th July 2026 under the provisions of Legislative Resolution 006 Executive Authority Act (2026) Article V Section II, enabling the World Assembly Delegate to (a) manage the Governement of Aesica and its ongoings, and (b) create new Ministries.
