Executive Summary: Okay, so Daybreak is intended to be a sort of "foundational" document of the General Assembly. It lays out, in very basic terms, the reality that the General Assembly has been reset, that under the new rules of the General Assembly member nations can pick and choose what to abide by, and a few important notes on member state equality and an assertion of good faith interpretations by member states.

Opinion: Okay, so like, this whole resolution is totes Cretox coded. Like, have you read anything written by the delegation from Cretox State? It reads a lot like this. Over the top language to introduce their topic, regardless of how mundane it is like saying "Member states possess formal equality under the law." The proposal doesn't do much except note that the General Assembly is not binding in all instances. Which is true. The only real binding comment on member states is that they are to act in good faith. Largely, this feels like a Declaration from the Security Council. A well crafted one that kind of says, "Hey, the Nat Sov's got a chance to write the first proposal, folks." But, whatever. The actual juice here at the center of it is fine and I have no problem, and plan to vote FOR this proposal.
