RGBN Welcome Guide
Welcome to the Region of Golden Black Nations! Whether you are new here, or just touching up on the region, we're glad to have you. This guide serves to help you learn your way around RGBN and get accustomed to its practices.
If you have not heard already, RGBN is primarily a roleplay focused region. However, the region delves into many more endeavors besides just roleplay. Outside of roleplay, RGBN has its own government and takes part in the greater nationstates community. Infact, RGBN even has its very own Regional Assembly to create laws! Even if roleplay doesn't suit you, there are many more opportunities in RGBN that might just fill your niche.
Now that you are aware of the very basics of the region, below are some more specific topics to help guide you throughout your journey in RGBN.

Joining the World Assembly(abbreviated as the WA) is one of the most important things a new player should do on Nationstates. Not only does being a World Assembly Member boost your stats and grant you access to a large part of the game, but it also plays a large key in becoming a citizen(Goldenfolk) of the Region. But before we dive into that, let me show you how to join the World Assembly in the first place!
1. The first thing you'll want to do is head over to the World Assembly page itself.
2. Once you're on the World Assembly page, look above where it says General Assembly and you'll find a button that says Apply to Join. Click on that button.
3. Now that you've applied, check your emails for an email from nationstates about joining the World Assembly. The email will be sent to the account that you have connected with your nation.
4. Once you've found the email, open it and look for the link. There will be text saying that this link will confirm your nations entry into the World Assembly.
5. Click on the link in the email and congratulations, you are now apart of the World Assembly!
Being apart of the WA is not just a big win for yourself, but it also impacts everyone in RGBN. The WA allows you to endorse your fellow regionmates, which is highly beneficial. Endorsing will play a big part in the next section of this guide.

Now that you are a member of the World Assembly, becoming a Goldenfolk will be incredibly easy. But first, what do you gain by being part of the Goldenfolk community?
Being a Goldenfolk gives you access to all that RGBN has to offer. As a Goldenfolk you're able to hold a position in government, be a member of the Regional Assembly, vote in elections, and even run for office. If someone is not a Goldenfolk, they will not be able to participate in any of the stated.
Back to becoming a Goldenfolk, there are two main ways to do so.
The first, and easiest way to become a Goldenfolk is to Endorse our WA Delegate Stewartika. To endorse a nation and Stewartika specifically, scroll to the bottom of said nation's page and click the button that says endorse. Once you have endorsed Stewartika, you are now part of RGBN's Goldenfolk. Congrats!
The second way is for if you are unable to join the WA or endorse the delegate. Residents of RGBN can apply to become Goldenfolk provided there is good reason to not be in the WA/Endorsing the Delegate. If the resident shows a willingness to interact more with RGBN than simply roleplaying the resident has a good chance at becoming a Goldenfolk. This path, while not requiring a WA, tends to be more on the tedious side and its easier to just endorse the delegate.

The Regional Roleplay is the heart and soul of RGBN. It is where the community members come together to make something great. Luckily, joining RGBN's roleplay is incredibly easy. Simply make sure to read the Roleplay Rules and take a look at the Map and you'll be golden! After that, you can start making roleplay posts.
RGBN's roleplay takes place in the late 21st century, with many nations competing for influence across the world. The story you make is completely up to you, will you rise up to the occasion, or will your nation fall to the whims of the world? Collaboration with other nations is an incredible way to make something unique, and it's something that everyone here looks forwards to seeing. As always, do be sure your roleplay is of a good quality. One sentence posts will not get you anywhere! Other than that, go wild and make something great with all the amazing people here.

Government is what makes RGBN function smoothly, and acts as another way to get involved. RGBN's government is a democracy, where the President is elected every three months. The President then appoints Goldenfolk to the Cabinet every term to help run the region.
On top of that, RGBN has the Shenifar. The Shenifar acts as the "Administrator" of the region and isn't an elected position. The Shenifar of RGBN makes sure government moves smoothly and also acts as the Regional Curator.
RGBN also has its own Regional Assembly as well! The Regional Assembly serves as a way to enact proposals for RGBN, such as amendments to the constitution. In other words, the Regional Assembly is akin to a real life legislature. Adding on, RGBN has a judicial branch, being the Bullion Court. The Bullion Court makes sure all actions by the government are constitutional and serve to benefit the region.
