Invasion of Terra || 2680-2710
Five years after the conquest of Mars, which is dubbed the 'worst loss in human history', the invasion of Terra commenced.
The invasion can be split into three stages: the battle of the Moon, the battle in orbit and the ground offensive, with the last one being the most intense stage.
At 12:00 Terra Time, the first Feraxian Fold Gate opened within Lunar orbit, allowing the passage of High Admiral Khorus' fleet consisting of 10 dreadnoughts, 20 destroyers, 25 frigates and 100 corvettes followed by thousands of fighters an bombers. Engaged was the human fleet at 12:30 sharp, opened was the battle by the Feraxian flagship Might with a full salvo of its plasma weaponry.
Lunar Battle
Within the first hour the battle escalated fully. At 14:00 already four of the human dreadnoughts fell compared to the two lost dreadnoughts from the Feraxian fleet.
Around 14:44 High Admiral Kor'Ta's fleet joined the battle, attacking the human fleet from behind and eliminating two more human dreadnoughts paired with multiple, already damaged, ships.
The tide of battle turned twelve hours after it began, at ~00:30, when a human bomber squadron managed to cut through hostile lines and hit the Might in a devastating kamikaze attack, melting down the ship's core.
With a new opening, the human fleet began retreating back to Earth, successfully taking down several enemy ships during their escape, including High Admiral Kor'Ta's ship, the Fist.
When the clock hit 06:00, to avenge the High Admiral's heroic death, all weaponry was turned towards the lunar surface, and five minutes later, the whole surface was glassed, killing two million people.
Terran High Command (T.H.C) gave following statement after the battle was lost:"Citizens of planet Earth, fear not! Despite our losses of Mars and Moon, our army continues to stay strong!
We have already lost so many, so much, but we will not lose any more! Earth is the final bastion, an impenetrable fortress!
Not one more inch shall fall to those cowards, not one more soul shall be lost!
We will stop them within our orbit, and from there, retake the Moon and Mars and continue until we brought the war to them!
Vivat Terra, vivat humanitas!"
After the successful capture of the Moon through High Admiral Khorus, the focus was set on taking a secure position within Earth's orbit.
Battle in Earth Orbit
At 13:00 Terra Time, the Emperor himself joined the fleet on his flagship; the super dreadnought labelled Trinity Prime. With the Emperor's arrival, a fleet of 1.058 warships had assembled, ready to face off the 1.119 human ships.
Twenty-four hours later the attack began. Thousands of fighters and bombers targeted the human dreadnoughts at the front of the human formation, attacking like a swarm of wasps in an organized and well-coordinated swarm attack.
Dog fights erupted within the human formation, causing chaos and overwhelming the human computers aboard their ships, clearing an opening for Feraxian ships.
Splitting off the main formation, High Admiral Khorus attacked the human ships head on, his dreadnoughts making short work of smaller human vessels. Once a big enough opening formed, the rest of the Feraxian fleet moved in, penetrating human lines like a spear does with flesh.
While the battle in orbit took place, down on Earth's surface, terror took over. The African continent was exactly beneath the battle. People from Johannesburg to Alexandria were panicking once they saw the countless explosions so close to Earth and the countless debris falling through and burning in the atmosphere.
The deathblow for the human fleet came when the Trinity Prime closed in on their carriers. Ramming through human ships like a hot knife through butter, the colossus of a ship rammed the human carrier positioned in the center of the carrier formation, damaging it and rendering it useless. The crews aboard the remaining ships could only watch as massive hooks were unleashed onto their ships, ripping through the hulls and anchoring themselves.
With the human carriers out of the game, the remainder of the human fleet retreated back to Earth, marking the end of the fight.
The hope of humanity darkened more.
