Constitution of Qafe

Preamble

We, the people of Qafe, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the Democratic Nation of Qafe.

Article I: Sovereignty
Qafe is a sovereign nation, independent of external influence or control.The sovereignty of Qafe resides in its citizens, who exercise their power through democratic processes.

Article II: Fundamental Rights
All citizens of Qafe shall enjoy equal rights and freedoms, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or any other status.The rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are inherent and inviolable.

Article III: Democratic Principles
Qafe is a democratic nation, governed by the will of the people through free and fair elections.The government shall be accountable to the people and shall serve their interests above all else.

Article IV: Separation of Powers
The powers of the government shall be divided into three branches: the legislative, executive, and judicial.Each branch shall have distinct responsibilities and shall exercise checks and balances over the others to prevent abuse of power.

Article V: Legislature
The legislative authority of Qafe shall be vested in a unicameral Parliament, elected by the people.Parliament shall enact laws for the common good and represent the interests of the citizens.(Parliament will have 96 delegates)

Article VI: Executive
The executive power of Qafe shall be vested in a President, elected by the people.The President shall enforce the laws, conduct foreign affairs, and serve as the head of state.

Article VII: Judiciary
The judicial power of Qafe shall be vested in an independent judiciary, which shall interpret and apply the laws impartially.Judges shall be appointed based on merit and shall serve for life, subject to good behavior.

Article VIII: Local Government
Qafe shall be divided into administrative regions, each with its own elected government.Local governments shall have authority over matters not reserved to the central government.

Article IX: Citizenship
Citizenship in Qafe shall be granted to those who fulfill the criteria set forth by law.Citizens shall have rights and responsibilities as prescribed by the Constitution and laws of Qafe.

Article X: Education
Qafe shall provide free and compulsory education to all its citizens.Education shall be aimed at fostering critical thinking, civic engagement, and cultural appreciation.

Article XI: Defense
Qafe shall maintain a defense force to ensure the security and integrity of the nation.The defense force shall be subject to civilian control and shall act in accordance with international law.

Article XII: Amendment
This Constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of Parliament.Amendments shall not infringe upon the fundamental rights and principles enshrined herein.

Article XIII: Supremacy
This Constitution shall be the supreme law of Qafe, and all laws and actions inconsistent therewith shall be void.Citizens and officials of Qafe shall uphold and defend this Constitution.

Article XIV: Ratification
This Constitution shall come into effect upon ratification by a majority vote of the citizens of Qafe.Done in the city of New Dorrastorock, this April 2, in the year 2024, in the presence of witnesses and with the consent of the people.
