XKI and ATP Recruitment 101

10000 Islands has existed for over 20 years now, the reason? Recruitment. Without recruiters like you we won't be able to continue welcoming new Islanders to our shores! It is the most vital job in the Islands. There are many different methods of recruiting, more information is available on our forum here: https://10000islands.proboards.com/thread/42583/ultimate-recruiting-guide
This involves buying 'stamps' to send mass telegrams at once. Stamps cost $1 per every 1000 telegrams. You can buy more stamos as well and you aren't restricted to 1000. Our forum guide has detailed information (and pictures) to guide you through this method. Be careful though, you must ensure you are marking your telegrams as recruitment telegrams to comply with NationStates' rules. It is not the most efficient method and obviously costs real money, you are under no obligation to try this method. 1. Create your recruitment telegram, more information below!
2. Login to NationStates and navigate to the telegram page and click '+ New Telegram.'
3. Click the upside down triangle at the right hand side of the "To" box to bring down a menu.
4. Click Add: Special and it will show a dropdown menu, you can choose either New (100/500/2500) and/or Refounded (100/500/2500)
5. You must click the box beside "This is a (Recruitment) Telegram for 10000 Islands or A Taco Paradise". This is an extremely important step!
6. Paste your recruitment telegram (or template) into the main message area
7. Click "Preview" to see how it looks, proof read it one last time!
8. Click Send, check back in a couple of days to see how its done!
This involves sending telegrams to each nations individually, it is probably the most effective method of recruiting and yields the best results. Like stamp recruiting however, you must mark your telegrams as recruitment messages. We recommend using DOT on our Discord to recruit.

Making templates is easy, and you will get the hang of it pretty quick. Here's how making templates works: 1. Sign into NS with the registered nation.
2. Go to the Telegram page and select the New Telegram button
3. In the To field enter the following: Tag:Template
4. Click the drop down arrow - beside the To field.
5. Click the box so it reads: "This is a Recruitment Telegram"
6. Now you can enter your telegram information.
Note: You can enter the tags [code]10000 Islands[/code] and [code][nation](your name)[/nation][/code] and the telegram will have those names as clickable links. %NATION% will place the recipients name as a clickable link
7. When the telegram is to your liking you can send it.
8. You should then be taken to a page that displays a template code, it will look something like %TEMPLATE-8487179% Save this code by copying and pasting it somewhere.
9. Now that you have the code, copy and paste it into as many messages as you like. NS will do all the work for you!
Note: Always send templates with the same nation registered to the template, and make sure it is a nation residing in 10000 Islands - otherwise you'll be sending them to the wrong place
