Assimilation laws (2035)

-Those who reside in Vantier and/or its colonial possessions, excluding tourists and diplomats, are not allowed to speak "uncivilized" languages. As such, only German, Latin, Dutch, Hebrew, Vantierian (LDU Afrikaans), Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho, Esperanto and French (and their respective dialects) will be allowed to be spoken in Vantier, in public and private spaces. Children will not be allowed to be taught "uncivilized" languages, and they will be encouraged to tell their teachers and/or police if non-accepted languages are spoken in their household. Those who are caught speaking an "uncivilized" language will be severely punished with death, slavery* or re-education in a special camp dedicated to the civilization of barbarians, depending on how much was spoken and how fluently, and if children were also taught that language.
-"Uncivilized" traditions and customs and "pagan" religions will be punished with permanent slavery*, regardless of gravity. Only "civilized" religions (Christianism, Judaism and Hinduism and their branches) will be legally allowed and tolerated, and hate crimes against "uncivilized" religions and cultures will be allowed.
-Secessionist movements in the colonies will be punished with death, and torture for the relatives and friends of their members. History and philosophy will not be mandatory in the colonies' school curriculum, and will be extremely discouraged.
-Colonial subjects will not be allowed to own Vantierian slaves, and marriage between a Vant and a colonial subject will not be allowed. Segregation laws, which will be completely abolished in mainland Vantier next month (RP) will remain untouched in the colonies.

*Those who are sentenced to slavery will be transported to territories where slavery is allowed (Riverdale, Bechuanaland, colonies).
