Thegye Minecraft Server Rules and Guide

Thegye's Minecraft server is a place for mining enthusiasts to engage with other players in a Thegye-themed server with other Thegye players. Because of the limited nature of the server, players may experience lag, skipping, or kicking. If you have constant issues with the server, contact Bassiliya on Discord or via telegram.

Rules

All listed rules must be followed and observed at all times. Players who violate rules may be banned and blacklisted by admins with no warning. If you observe a rule violation, report it to an administrator to handle; do not try to take matters into your own hands.

1. No griefing or trolling. This sever does allow PvP play, primarily focused at warring colonies.

2. This server currently uses the MineColonies modpack. See the instructions below on how to properly set up your modpack for the server.

3. Do not share the joining information with any other player. If players would like to join the server, they must do so via our Discord. This server is primarily intended for Thegye citizens.

4. Be respectful of other players' space; don't build your bases too close to other, player-created structures without permission. In addition, leave the terrain looking nice. No random holes, no mass deforestation, etc. Players may choose to voluntarily build joint colonies.

5. When using the spawn chest, make sure to take only what you need to get started on your journey.

6. Due to the limited nature of the server, large and complicated Redstone machines are banned, especially fully automated 24/7 machines. Non-exhaustive list of acceptable Redstone machines: simple farms, machines that are one-click, one-output (like piston doors), and reasonable sorting machines. If your machine is causing lag, you will be asked to dismantle and optimize it.

7. Plugins that give an unfair advantage to players are strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, SecGM, Labymod, BetterPvP, and X-ray texture packs. Any mod/plugin that gives players an unfair advantage over others is automatically blacklisted. Players who use such mods will be warned to remove them and banned if they fail to do so.

8. Have fun and play nice! This server is to have fun with other Thegye members.

Information

Access: The Thegye Minecraft server can be accessed by visiting our Discord server and using the $minecraft command in #bot_and_vc_chat. This will begin a short dialogue with Shard, allowing you to access the server IP address. Simply input the information requested by the bot within a few minutes of starting the process to continue. Remember rule #3.

Modpack setup: Before joining the server, you will need to download and install CurseForge from Overwolf. Once that is set up, search for the MineColonies Official modpack in the app or via the MineColonies modpack online. Once downloaded, attempt to join the server via the Minecraft client. An error may pop up informing you that certain mods on your client are not present on the server. Navigate to your CurseForge MineColonies mod folder, usually located at C:\Users\USERNAME\curseforge\minecraft\instances\MineColonies Official\mods or by clicking “Open Folder” on the MineColonies page on your CurseForge app. You may either delete the offending mods from your MineColonies file or create your own local modpack, copy the MineColonies folder contents, and delete the offending mod from there (RECOMMENDED).
