Welcome to the 30th edition of The North Pacific Vision! This edition will be the first one to be hosted by Meadowfields, after winning the previous edition (TNPV XXIX) with Celine Dion's LinkMy Heart Will Go On. A total of just two cities in Meadowfields bid to host this edition of TNPV. However, after an exceedingly quick decision, Meadowfields City was chosen to be the host on August 30. It will be held in Meadowfields City's Clitherow Stadium, so named after the late philanthrophist Avery Clitherow.

Meadowfields City

The capital city of Meadowfields, Meadowfields City was founded in 1296 as a southern port by the Confederation of Mædæcerscínfeld. It was then named Súpdæl. It served as a fortress during the failed Yharfidian Invasion in 1343 (after the conquering of the Southern Islands), with a large and violent naval siege taking place. After the Kyurtese Colonization in 1537, it was transformed into a powerful military base, furthering Kyurtese influence in Yharfide and Hackeria.

After the Liberty Revolution in 1897, it was renamed to its current name and became the capital of Meadowfields. During the Dignity Revolution, it went under a total of six aerial and land-based battles. Today, massive renovation of the city is in process and its population has boomed. It currently has a population of 41,223,661.

The Clitherow Stadium began construction as a governmental project in 2005, with the majority of donations coming from Avery Clitherow, who died before it was completed. It was originally named the SolarX Stadium, but after Clitherow's death in 2008 it was named in honor of him. Today, it functions as both a sports stadium and a concert venue.

Penkneth

The 11th most populous city in Meadowfields, Penkneth was founded in 1179 as a small fishing village on the banks of the Presmouth River. It later grew to be a prominent port and population center due to its geographical location. The city was partially destroyed during the Battle of Penkneth during the Liberty Revolution, but it was fully rebuilt by 1934. On the outskirts Penkneth was built the infamous Clerson Relocation Center, which served as a concentration camp for members of the Cnóslbigeng religion.

During the Dignity Revolution, the city was scorched during a bombing campaign by the government after news came of a secret rebel base in the center of the city. Rebels later took control of the city towards the end of the revolution. Penkneth now is a thriving port center and has a population of 10,458,972.

The Nova Light Stadium was built in 2014 by the city of Penkneth. It lies near the crowded Daselmouth neighborhood, which is home to many luxury hotels. It served as the main stadium for the 2014 Grebenvoc Games.

Now, without much further ado, welcome to TNPV XXX!

A beautiful view of Clitherow Stadium from the sky appears, as the drone cameras fly down into the stadium, which lies near the bank of the Southern Ocean and is situated near several apartment blocks. Inside, a gargantuan and boisterous crowd has gathered, with the stadium seating being filled to the brim. Loud cheering commences, as the host Alexander Newman walks to the raised stage, which has been converted from a sports field. Makeshift seats have been put around the stage, on the former field, to accommodate for the large crowd.

Newman: Welcome to the 30th edition of The North Pacific Vision song contest! Meadowfields has been honored to host this edition; in fact, it's the only multiversal contest we've ever hosted!

Modest applause among the audience

Newman: Although we have hosted several international and two inteplanetary music contests before, this has by far been one of the most burdening and far-reaching events our nation has hosted.

Loud applause starts

Newman: Today we are here inside the Clitherow Stadium, so named after philantrophist Avery Clitherow. Coincidentially, September 19th was the day of Clitherow's death; this year is the 14th anniversary.

Light, but wide-spread applause across the crowd; some faked tears

Newman: The last few editions have not included semifinals, but due to a change in the contest's policy, semifinals will be held in this edition because of the participant count. Today we will announce those from the semifinals that qualified for the final; vote counts will not be revealed.

Great applause among the audience

Newman:: Several nations have been disqualified for either submitting their votes incorrectly and not correcting them in time, or not even submitting them in the first place! However, those nations will not be directly mentioned. Now, we will present the songs and the qualifiers for each semifinal!

Deafening applause erupts
