The Norudo Commonwealth (Norudo: ノルド連邦, tr. Norudo Renpō), generally referred to as Norudo or the Commonwealth, is a country primarily located in eastern Estria. It encompasses the Norudo Sea and is bordered on the north, east, and south by the Subarashi Ocean. It shares a singular land border with NATION1 to the west. Norudo is comprised of 48 administrative prefectures and 3 Special Administrative Zones. Outside of the mainland, Norudo maintains sovereignty over 5 overseas territories. The country is the second largest in land area and has the Xth largest population.

Norudo has been inhabited by the Norudo people since the Upper Paleolithic period (30,000 BC). Between the third and fourth centuries AD, the various kingdoms of Norudo became unified under an empress and the imperial court based in Asahi. Beginning in the 14th century, political power was largely held by the military warlords (shōgun) and feudal lords (daimyō) and enforced by a class of warrior nobility (samurai). After a century-long civil war starting in 1538, the country was reunified and imperial power restored. Following the Royal War, Norudo expanded into the mainland. In 1677, the Commonwealth Declaration was signed by Empress NAME, and serves as Norudo's constitution to this day. By 1900, the Commonwealth had established itself as a great power, becoming the world's largest economy. After [BLANK]'s attack on Red Bay, the Commonwealth entered the Poppy Fields War. The aftermath of the war left the Commonwealth, Syrasia, and the Carusican Union as the world's three superpowers and led to the cold war, in which Syrasia and Norudo engaged in an ideological struggle with the Carusican Union for international influence and dominance.

Under the Commonwealth Declaration, Norudo is a unitary semi-constitutional parliamentary monarchy with a bicameral legislature, the Gikai. Norudo is one of the highest developed countries in the world and is considered a superpower, with the largest economy by nominal GDP. Norudo maintains one of the world's strongest militaries and is a global leader in the automotive and electronics industries. Norudo is a founding member of the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Estrian Co-Prosperity Sphere, CSAT, World Health Organization, and a permanent member of the United Circumference Organization Security Council.

    HISTORY
    PREHISTORY

The earliest traces of human life in the area now known as La Plata are dated from the Paleolithic period, with further traces in the Mesolithic and Neolithic. Until the period of European colonization, La Plata was relatively sparsely populated by a wide number of diverse cultures with different social organizations, which can be divided into three main groups;

The first group, such as the Selk'nam and Yaghan in the south, were basic hunters and gatherers lacking the development of pottery. The second group were advanced hunters and gatherers in the center-east, such as the Puelche, Querandí, and Serranos. The last group were farmers and sedentary traders in the north, including the Daguita, Charrúa, Minuane, and Guaraní.

    COLONIAL ERA

The first European expedition to the region was the voyage of Amerigo Vespucci in 1502. Spanish navigators Juan Díaz de Solís and Sebastian Cabot then visited the territory that is now La Plata in 1516 and 1526. The first settlement in La Plata, Buenos Aires, was founded by Pedro de Mendoza in 1536 but abandoned a few years later in 1541.
