About the Capital City

Novus Castramoupoli is the largest city in Stopiang, serving as the country's economic, cultural, and historic hub. The city straddles the Synodarus strait, lying in both proper West and East Stopiang, and has a population of over 74 million residents. Novus Castramoupoli is one of the most populous cities in the region, and the nation's largest city.

History
The city was founded as Permoulion in the 7th century BCE by settlers from Epidea. In few decades after the city's establishment, the Pylomic king, Pelopidas the Great made it his imperial capital, renaming it first as Nova Pylom and then as Parasinoupoli after the lush greenery sights of the city.

After unification, or the formation of Stopiang Tribunate, the city is renamed to Novus Castramoupoli, which literally stands for the ''New Castle City'', as the city grew significant strategic importance, due to its strong fortified walls, and it was the center of growth of the Tribunate. The city grew in size and influence, eventually becoming a beacon of a large trade route. The city served as an imperial capital for thousands of years: during the Pylomic Kingdom, Pylom-Epidea Commonwealth, and lastly the Stopiang Tribunate (currently, The Confoederatio Ecclesiastica of Stopiang).

General Information
Over 13.4 million foreign visitors came to Novus Castramoupoli, four years after it was named the grand east-west capital of culture, making the city a popular choice for average tourists. The main area for the international district for international affairs in Novus Castramoupoli is Saint Constantine Scene, known for its ancient architecture, and traditional orthodox iconography walls. The Association of Common Nations Secretary-General Office and the de-jure main Headquarters of CACSE, are located in Novus Castramoupoli alongside the Pelopidas District.

Currently, the Major Domus of Novus Castramoupoli is held by Father Gregorios II, who is the current Patriarch and Archbishop of the Stopiangese Orthodox. The Holy Ecumenical Council has also declared Novus Castramoupoli walls to be guarded by the City Guards of the Faith, which are known to have Classical Imperium armor and spears, which are for ceremonial and for tourism attractions. Novus Castramoupoli also has one of the most popular historical sites in the region such as the: Grand Hagia Bersuvius, Tribunal Consortium Palace, Theatre of Vetus Castramoupoli, World Colosseum, Church of Father Andrew III, the Stopiangese Assembly, and many more.
