The new Tovenian Football League

SEASON 20

This year is a landmark year as we celebrate the 20th season of the Tovenian Football League. We hope its a great one.

Refugia Championship

With Chessunt winning the Refugi Cup last season they automatically join Melbourne in the Championship this year. What an achievement for them. Can Macaroni join them?
Yes with a 2-1 win in their qualifier, they will be the 3rd team in the Championship.
Week 1 was a mixed bag for our teams as Chessunt won, Macaroni drew and Melbourne lost. Week 2 on the other hand was disastrous as all 3 teams lost. Melbourne are all but out and the other have a lot of work to do. Melbourne did get a win in week 3 but it was too little to late as they finished 3rd. The other 2 couldn't avoid defeats meaning both finished bottom of their respective groups. No team made it through to the knockout stage marking a disappointing season for Tovenia on the regional stage.

Refugi Cup

Soreenium's long season begins with 2  qualifiers once again to join Waltham in the Cup. Wincaster have just one hurdle to overcome before they can join them. Will they make it?
So if Soreenium and Wincaster do their bit we will have 6 Tovenian sides in Regionals.
Soreenium get off to a great start winning 2-0 in qualifying round 1.
In qualifying round 2 it was disaster for both teams. Wincaster looked well off the pace losing 0-3 and in a lacklustre performance Soreenium fell behind and never looked like catching up losing 1-2. So despite 3 clubs in the Championship, Waltham will be the sole representatives in the Cup.
As the sole representatives for Tovenia, Waltham got off to a great start with a 1-2 win. Week 2 didn't go so well as they lost 0-1, so they need a result in the final week. With an emphatic 3-0 win, Waltham have topped their group and are through.
With a 1-0 loss Waltham's hopes are over in the Quarter finals. That's it for Tovenia in Refugia this season.

Getaway! Top Tier Trophy

Dane have won it twice in the last 3 years. Can they continue their form?
In the matches of round 1 Waltham beat Soreenium 2-3 and the current champs Dane were beaten 3-0 by Chessunt. There were also wins for Hougun, Nacho Isle, Wincaster, Macaroni, Connaught and Gherk.
In the Quarter finals Macaroni beat Waltham, Connaught won out over Chessunt, Hougun snuck a win over Nacho Isle and Gherk shocked Wincaster.
It the Semi-finals and Macaroni have defeated Connaught 2-1 whilst in the other game Gherk beat Hougun 0-3.
In the grand final Macaroni Tubers have done it. The have defeated Gherk 1-0.

Tovenian Conference East

Pickle and Harison will once again try to get out of this league but the real story is former League champions New Neiland. They will do anything to return to the top flight and ease the embarrassment of relegation straight after their amazing League win.
New Neiland are doing what's needed at the half way stage. The Sentinels are 6pts clear of both Harison and Pickle. Blapislavia and Muninn are both a point further behind and are still very much in the hunt for 2nd spot.
With 2 games left, the champions are decided New Neiland will be straight back up with an 18pt lead. The battle for 2nd however is hotly contested. Pickle are 1pt ahead of Harison and these look most likely but and Blapislava, Muninn and Connaught Jesters are 5 pts behind, if results went their way one of them could steal it.
With a massive 64pts the New Neiland Sentinels will be returning to the Prima League! Pickle 48pts have taken the playoff spot just ahead of a disappointed Harison 47pts. Connaught Jesters 40pts and Blapislava 38pts make up the top 5. At the bottom once again it is the New Neiland Rooks 22pts and Toasti 17pts.

Tovenian Conference West

Montacute will once again look to return to the Prima League on the 1st time of asking and they certainly have previously proven they can do this . However Perivale will be more desperate than ever for the title.
At halfway in the season Montacute are 2pts ahead of Perivale and it looks to be a 2 team race. Jorvik are 4pt further back and Gundir, Wincaster Knights and Kalallit are all a further point behind.
With 2 games left the Conference West certainly isn't decided. Bothe Montacute and Perivale top the league on the same pts and will be desperate for the automatic promotion spot. With Jorvik 4pts behind they  ould still cause an upset too. Who will win?
Montacute Founders 54pts are back in the top flight too! Perivale 51pts have just missed out on the title but are in the playoff so could still return to the top flight. Jorvik 47pts had a good season in 3rd with Fenrir 45pts and Gundir 45pts completing the top 5. Islande 20pts and Northolt 19pts had seasons to forget at the bottom.

Tovenian Prima League

Melbourne are back on top but New Neilands relegation shows how strong this league really is and that no-one is truely safe. Who knows who will grab the title or stay up this year?
We are halfway through an exciting season and former champs Wincaster have opened up a 4pt lead on current champs Melbourne. It looks like it will be on of these to take the title as Dane are currently 6pts further back in 3rd, Stilton are another point behind and then there is another 4pt gap to Macaroni and Hougun. At the bottom Belle Vue are struggling in last with Gordon 1pt above them. In the play off drop spots are Connaught (just 1pt ahead of the auto relegation teams) and Gherk another point better off. Currently Dorchaster are the 1st of the safe teams with a 4pt safety margin. They will want to keep it that way.
With 2 games remaining Melbourne are pulling away from Wincaster with a 5pt lead. Dane are then 15pts further back in 3rd just 3pts ahead of Hougun. Any of the top 8 could still make the top 4. At the bottom Connaught and Dorchaster are both at the bottom on the same points but they are within 3pts of Lambeth and Gordon in the playoff spots and all the teams at risk could still catch Belle Vue and Burgar in the safe spots. It is all to play for!
Melbourne Settlers 82pts have retained their title finishing just ahead of a bitterly disappointed Wincaster 80pts. Dane 62pts hung on to 3rd ahead of Macaroni 59pts in 4th. Hougun 59pts and Nacho Isles 58pts just missed out on the regional spots.
At the bottom we say good bye to Connaught 41pts and Dorchaster 41pts after hard seasons. Belle Vue 42pts and Burgar 43pts finished in the play off spots and will have to fight for their survival. Gordon 43pts are relieved to save themselves on goal difference.

Playoffs

In the playoffs this season Belle Vue will have to survive against the in form Perivale whilst Burgar need to stop Pickle from taking their spot.
Belle Vue were brilliant scoring early and hanging on to retain their spot in the Prima League. Burgar were less lucky slumping to a 1-2 defeat. The Pickle Island Mariners are back in the top division! Wat a season they have had!

Mama Cumberdale's Meat-Pie Cup

Waltham bagged their 1st silverware in this competition last season and would love to do that again this time round. Is it possible?
In the opening round we saw progression for Reading, Connaught Jesters, Montacute, Jorvik, Locksley Rangers, Hougun U, Islande, Finn, Fenrir, Gordon, Blapislavia, Northolt, Perivale, Kalallit and Lambeth. Plus in the game of the round New Neiland beat Norsk 0-2.
In Round 2 the big 16 joined in. For most of them it was plain sailing through to round 3 but there were a couple of surprises; Islande beat Macaroni 0-1 and Perivale beat Connaught 0-1 plus both the newly promoted sides progressed with Montacute defeating Burgar 1-2, and New Neiland beat Dane on penalties.
In Round 3 the big game was Soreenium vs Wincaster which Wincaster won on penalties after a 2-2 draw. They were joined by Montacute, Chessunt, Dorchaster, Belle Vue, Melbourne, Gherk and Stilton.
In the Quarter finals Dorchaster beat Wincaster 2-1, Melbourne beat Gherk and they are joined by Chessunt and Stilton.
In the Semi-finals, Stilton defeated Chessunt 2-0 and Dorchaster dominated the league champs Melbourne 0-3.
It's the final and Dorchaster looked tired after their Semi-final performance. They couldn't get the attack going and ended up losing to the Stilton Gifters 0-2.

SEASON 19

Refugia Championship

New Neiland get their 1st taste of the toughest tournament in football but can regulars Melbourne join them?
Of course the veterans do it easing through 1-0. The Refugia Championship wouldn't be recognisable without them.
It's time for the group stages and nothing teams stare with a loss but New Neilands 4-0 defeat was particularly hard to take. In week 2 a win for New Neiland will help, but a 2nd loss for Melbourne means all results would have to go right for them to stand any chance of progressing. In week 3 Melbourne got their win but a draw in the other game was enough for both to progress at Melbournes expense. A 2nd win for New Neiland has got them through in 2nd place.
In the Quarter finals New Neiland gave it there all but they were out classed losing 3-0. Once again no Tovenian teams will be in Refugia's top 4.

Refugi Cup

With Connaught in automatically can Chessunt and Soreenium join them and can we finally have a Tovenian winner in the Cup?
Soreenium's season starts early having to get through 2 qualifying rounds but unfortunately they dont make it through round 1 losing on penalties after a 2-2 draw. Chessunt however cruised through round 2 3-0 and have made it to the Cup.
In week 1 both Connaught and Chessunt got a win. Chessunt continued their winning ways but Connaught a loss. In week 3, despite a loss Chessunt have won their group, but a 2nd loss sees Connaught out of the Cup.
In the Quarter finals its a confident 2-0 win from Chessunt that sees them progress to the Semi-final.
In the semis, Chessunt's regional form continued as they impressively eased their way into the final. This is a great tournament for the Chargers!
The Chessunt Chargers have done it! With a hard fought 2-1 win they become the 1st Tovenian team to win the Refugi Cup. Next season they will be playing in the Refugia Championship!

Getaway! Top Tier Trophy

It's the mid-point in the season so it is time for the TTT. Can Belle Vue maintain their title?
In the game of Round 1 Dane beat Chessunt 0-2. They will be joined by; Reading, Connaught, Soreenium, Burgar, Belle Vue, Melbourne and Wincaster.
In the Quarter finals Reading beat Burgar, Dane defeated Soreenium, Connaught eliminated Wincaster and the champs Belle Vue progressed with a 2-1 win over Melbourne.
It's Semi-finals day and it is a 2-1 victory for Dane over Connaught. They will be joined in the final by the reigning champs Belle Vue who beat Reading 1-0. Will Belle Vue be back to back champs?
We are ready to crown our 1st champions of the season and it is Dane City Warriors scoring in extra time win 2-3. What a game for the Warriors winning the TTT for the 2nd time.

Tovenian Conference East

Harison have been a top flight team for a long time and will be desperate to get straight back to the top but Gordon and Pickle know just how hard it is and must take this opportunity. This could be a great 3 horse race.
At the halfway point Harison are 2pts clear at the top but not ahead of the teams you might think. It is a muck improved Locksley Rangers in 2nd 5pts clear of both Gordon and Pickle.
With just 2 games to go Gordon are 6pts clear at the top and are almost guaranteed to be back in the Prima League. Pickle are 2pts clear of Harison who were top for most of the season and will be desperate to at least grab the play off spot.
As the season draws to a close Gordon Stabbers 59pts have made it back at the 2nd time of asking. Harison 51pts have stolen the playoff spot from Pickle 50pts and Blapislava 41pts were well behind in 4th. At the bottom Toasti only accrued 10pts and New Neiland Rooks had only achieved 16pts.

Tovenian Conference West

Lambeth's form saw them edge out Kalallit and Gundir last season and all look to be in high spirits but with Perivale back after years in the top flight can anyone match their level?
With half the games played Lambeth look good again opening up a 5pt lead. Perivale are not out of it yet in 2nd with Jorvik and Kalallit not far behind.
With just 2 games to go Lambeth have taken the league by storm and with a 5pt league over Perivale they just need 1 more win to get over the line. Perivale are in turn 5pts clear of Jorvik who are the only other team who can catch them.
Lambeth Celebrants 56pts have won the league! With Perivale 52pts are behind them snd have secured 2nd spot and still have a chance to get back to the Prima League at the 1st time of asking. Jorvik 46pts took 3rd with Wincaster Knights and Waltham Courage behind them both on 43pts. It was a terrible season for old guards Northolt 14pts and Esgarston 19pts as they were well off the pace at the bottom.

Tovenian Prima League

This season will be a battle for survival for returners Dorchaster and Gherk but all eyes are on the top where New Neiland shocked the world. Can they win again? Have they given a new sense of belief to other top half teams? Or will Melbourne recapture the title?
Well we are halfway through and it is a who's who of big names at the top. Wincaster and Waltham are top with Melbourne and a much improved Macaroni side 1pt behind and Benmoor in 5th 1pt further back. Infact there is just 3pts separating the top 9 teams and anyone could make this there's. One team who won't be repeating their glory are the reigning champs. New Neiland find them selves exhausted from last season and overstretched with regional matches too and 4pts adrift from the pack. They need a miracle to stay up at this point. Reading, Belle Vue and Nacho all find them selves in the danger zone buy only a point behind Burgar and Montacute. Who will survive?
2 games left and it is tight at both ends of the table. Melbourne find themselves 1pt ahead of Macaroni who are 3pts ahead of Wincaster and Soreenium. Dane and Connaught are only a couple of pts behind them so there is a lot of competition for the top 4. At the bottom Montacute find themselves bottom with Reading and last seasons champs New Neiland shockingly just 2pts ahead. It looks likely that 2 of these will go down with Norsk 3pts ahead in the last playoff spot they look like they will make up the bottom 4 as they are 5pts behind Hougun and 6pts behind Belle Vue.
Melbourne Settlers 71pts are back on top. It was another good year for Macaroni 67pts taking 2nd ahead of Wincaster 65pts and and Soreenium 64pts. Dane 62pts and Connaught 61pts just missed out on regionals. The shock at the bottom is the biggest in Prima League history. Montacute 37pts find themselves relegated again but last seasons champs New Neiland 39pts have been relegated. This is quite a fall from grace. Reading 42pts and Norsk 45pts make up the playoff positions. Hougun 46pts have managed to take the final safe spot.

Playoffs

So it's crunch time once again. With more points Perivale will play Reading to try and recapture a Prima League spot whilst Harison will have to defeat a strong Norsk.
With a hard fought 1-0 win, Reading have defended their position in the Prima League. Norsk followed suit winning 2-0 and condemning Harison to another season in the Conference. After a year of hard work this will be a bitter pill to swallow.

Mama Cumberdale's Meat-Pie Cup

It's the halfway point in the season so whilst the top 16 play in the TTT, the rest have to fight through round 1 of the Tovenian Cup.
In Round 1 there were wins for; Gherk, Svedd, Kalallit, Muninn, Islande, Lascelle, Finn, Saxon Destroyers, Montecute, Corrie, Perivale and Locksley Drivers games of the round Dorchaster were 3-1 winners over Gundir, Gordon lost 3-2 to Esgarston, Pickle defeated Macaroni 1-0 and Harison lost to Lambeth 1-2.
As always in Round 2 with the introduction of the big 16 there is the chance of an upset and our opener didn't disappoint. After a 1-1 draw Soreenium lost on penalties to Kalallit. Finn also came from a goal down to beat Cup specialists Belle Vue 1-2 and Gherk did the same to stun league winners Melbourne. Current Cup champions winners Connaught looked tired and crashed out newly promoted Lambeth ending a long season for them. Other than this the other top sides progressed, but that is some big names out.
In Round 3 we saw wins for Gherk, Montacute, Norsk, New Neiland, Lambeth, Dane and Waltham. Plus in the game of the round Kalallit were at it again winning on penalties against Stilton this time.
On Quarter final day Norsk ended Kalallits impressive run in an all Skandan affair. Montacute, Waltham and newly promoted Lambeth progress.
In the Semi-finals, Waltham ended Lambeth's brilliant season 0-2 and they will be joined in the final by Norsk who ended Montacute's far more disappointing season.
Both Waltham and Norsk are competing for their 1st ever silverware so who will seize the opportunity? Waltham Town Pilgrims have done it. With a 2-1 win, they are the Tovenian Cup champions!

SEASON 18

Refugia Championship

Once again Melbourne are set to compete and hoping to find some former success. Will the other former Champions Wincaster qualify and join them? In a thrilling 4-3 victory they have made it through.
Week 1 started badly for Melbourne with a loss but Wincaster won 1-2. Melbourne had another loss in week 2 but an impressive 3-0 win for Wincaster left them all but through. In week 3 losses for both sides left Melbourne out as bottom of their group but Wincaster still finished top of theirs.
It's a 1-2 loss for Wincaster and they are out. Once again it's disappointment for Tovenia's top teams.

Refugi Cup

Dane begin their longest season yet with the 1st qualifying round for the Cup. Unfortunately after a 1-3 loss their regional campaign is over before it began.
Macaroni will hope to learn from Dane's mistakes as they try to get through the final quifying round and into their 1st regional tournament. With a 3-1 victory, they are through and will join New Neiland.
In week 1 New Neiland earnt a draw but Macaroni lost 0-1. Week 2 saw another 1-0 loss sor the Tubers but New Neiland have found their form with a 1-2 win. In week 3 New Neiland topped their group with another win, but a 3rd loss for Macaroni ends their tournament here.
With a 1-2 loss New Neiland are out in the Quarter finals. Not a bad outing for their 1st regionals. Will they be able to return next season?

Getaway Top Tier Trophy

In the match of the opening round, it was a swift exit for the reigning champs Dane as they lost 3-1 to Macaroni. Another thriller saw Belle Vue go through on penalties after a 3-3 draw with Perivale. These two are joined by; Wincaster, Burgar, Reading, Soreenium, Stilton and Benmoor.
It's time for the Quarter finals and Macaroni beat Wincaster, Burgar were victorious over Reading and there were also wins for Soreenium and Belle Vue.
In the Semi-finals and our finalists will be Soreenium after their 2-1 win over Burgar, and they will face Belle Vue who beat Macaroni 0-2. As neither Belle Vue or Soreenium have won this trophy before we will be crowning 1st time champions either way.
In a hugely 1 sided final Belle Vue Crescents are the new TTT champs winning 4-0!

Tovenian Conference East

With both Pickle and Gordon joining the Conference and only 1 automatic promotion spot this should be an interesting season.
At the half way point it is actually Gherk who are top just a point ahead of Pickle and with Gordon only 1 point further behind. Locksley Drivers are having a good season finishing off the top 4 a few pts further behind.
With just 2 games left Gherk have at least made the playoffs and are 2pts clear of Gordon. Pickle are the only team that can still catch Gordon although they are 5pts behind them.
Gherk 59pts have beaten both the relagated sides and made it to the Prima League. Gordon 58pts still have a chance for promotion but Pickle 53pts will be disappointed and will have to try again next season. At the bottom New Neiland Rooks 18pts were bottom again and Toasti 21pts had a bad season too.

Tovenian Conference West

Gundir will once again be desperate to gain promotion but with a determined Dorchaster side falling out of the top league for the 1st time this looks hard again.
Dorchaster have had a great start to the season and are currently top, but just a point ahead of Lambeth, Kalallit and 3pts ahead of Gundir.
With 2 games to go Dorchaster will be back in the Prima League! They are 8 pts clear. But with just 3 pts between Kalallit, Lambeth and Gundir, the race for 2nd is fierce.
Dorchaster Nobles 56pts are the Conference West champions finishing well ahead of Lambeth 48pts who snuck the playoff spot ahead of Kalallit 47pts and Gundir 44pts. At the bottom Northolt 17pts had a terrible season along with Finn 23pts.

Tovenian Prima League

Melbourne are on a real reign of dominance winning the last 4 titles in a row and they now look even stronger. Can anyone defeat them? Wincaster, Macaroni and Dane all came close last time around. With Norsk, Hougun City and Nacho Isles all returning can they survive?
The league looks a little different at the mid point this season with New Neiland topping the table an impressive 5pts ahead of Chessunt and Nacho with Dane and Soreenium just behind them. Waltham and Harison are bottom and need a better 2nd half of the season, but Reading, Hougun and even Wincaster are not safe as things stand.
With 2 games remaining New Neiland had built up a lead of 10pts but this has slipped to just 3. Melbourne have come out of nowhere and could steal the title again. Nachos great season continues as they find themselves in 3rd a point ahead of Soreenium and 2 ahead of a rapidly slipping Dane. At the bottom, Harison are down but Waltham are now safe after a much better half of the season. Perivale now find them selves in the drop zone but they could catch Montacute. The last play off spot could be taken by any of the bottom 8 teams.
We have new champions! The New Neiland Sentinels 77pts become just the 4th team to ever win the Prima League. What an achievement after last seasons Tovenian Cup win. Melbourne 71pts will have to settle for 2nd place this season with Chessunt 62pts finishing strong in 3rd ahead of Soreenium 62pts. Dane 61pts will be very disappointed with how the season finished for them. We will say goodbye to Harison 37pts and Perivale 42pts. Montacute 42pts just stayed ahead and at least have a chance of survival along with surprise stragglers Macaroni 46pts. Reading 47pts just secures their spot for next season.

Playoffs

This season a confident Gordon will have to get through a disappointed Montacute to return to the top tier and in the other game, surprise runners up Lambeth will have to beat Macaroni who many are shocked to see in the playoff spots.
Montacute have kept their spot in the Prima League With a 1-0 win over a disappointed Gordon. Macaroni have beaten Lambeth 3-2 and kept their spot too.

Mama Cumberdale's Meat-Pie Cup

We are halfway through the current season, so whilst the top 16 are taking part in the TTT, it is time for Round 1 of the Tovenian Cup. Wins for Hougun City, Saxon Destroyers, Northolt, Svedd, Islande, Hougun U, Finn, Corrie, Muninn, Pickle, Lascelle, Chessunt, Nacho Isles, Gordon and Jorvik see them through. Plus in the game of the round Toasti beat a disappointed Dorchaster 2-1.
In Round 2 the top 16 are in and there is always a chance of a shock. There were a lots this season; Saxon Destroyers beat Wincaster 0-1, Muninn defeated Stilton on penalties after a 3-3 draw, Lascelle won on penalties after a 1-1 draw with Macaroni, Corrie got a shock win on penalties against Melbourne after a gritty 2-2 draw, Islande got a 0-2 win over Montacute and Svedd beat Reading 0-1. Plus in a huge all Prima League clash, 3rd place Chessunt beat the new league champs and current National cup champs 0-2.
In Round 3 we saw wins for Perivale,  Burgar, Islande, Connaught, Belle Vue, Svedd in the games of the round Benmoor beat Soreenium 2-0 and Corrie shocked Waltham 0-2.
It's quarter finals day and with 3 lower league sides there could still be a shock. With wins for  Benmoor, Belle Vue, Connaught and Burgar it will be an all Prima League Semi-final.
In the Semi-finals Belle Vue beat Burgar 2-0 and Connaught beat Benmoor 2-1.
It's a 1st final for both teams so we will have a new champion this season but who will it be? Can Belle Vue do the double after their TTT win? Connaught Haulers are the Tovenian Cup champions with an impressive 0-3 win

SEASON 17

Refugia Championship

Melbourne will be hoping for a better regional campaign this season but can Burgar join them? With a 2-0 win Burgar are in the Championship.
Week 1 saw a great start and a victory for the veterans Melbourne but a loss for Burgar. Week 2 saw a loss for Melbourne and a draw for Burgar, leaving both in a precarious position. In week 3 a loss for Burgar has left them rock bottom in their 1st regional outing but a Melbourne win means they are top of their group and through.
It's the Quarter Finals and unfortunately with a 1-2 loss Melbourne are out. There will be no Tovenian teams in the later stages of the Championship again.

Refugi Cup

Dorchaster have a long qualifying campaign and start the season before anyone else. With a 2-0 win Dorchaster are through qualifying round 1.
Can Dorchaster and Soreenium make it to the Cup and join Gordon? Dorchester have lost 1-0 so will not make it again but Soreenium won by the same result and are through.
So how will the 2 Maltlovian teams do?
Week 1 was not the best start with a draw for Soreenium and a loss for Gordon. But week 2 was much better with wins for both Tovenian sides. In week 3, 2 more wins see both sides through topping their groups.
It's the Quarter finals and New territory for the Stabbers, but after a 1-1 draw, Gordon have won on penalties! Soreenium however have lost 1-2.
Its Semi-finals and Gordon have done it. With a 1-0 win they have made it to their 1st regional final.
It's finals day. Gordon have obviously put all their efforts into this competition. They are currently bottom of the league, but can they be the 1st team to win the Refugi Cup? With a 3-2 loss Gordon will be so disappointed. Now they need to focus on staying up.

Getaway! Top Tier Trophy

In the 1st round there were good wins for Soreenium, Perivale, Stilton, Harison, Waltham, Chessunt and Wincaster the game of the round Dane beat Melbourne 2-1.
It Quarter final time and the reigning champs Stilton beat Waltham 1-2. They will be joined by Soreenium, Dane and Chessunt who beat Wincaster 3-4 in the match of the round.
It is the Semi-finals and the champs Stilton will not have another Final as Soreenium have shown whilst they are one of the best beating them 0-1. Soreenium will be joined by Dane who beat Chessunt 1-0.
It's finals day and once again Dane will be hoping for their 1st trophy. Will this be the year? Not if Soreenium can help it as this is the one domestic trophy they haven't won. Dane have done it! They finally have a trophy with a 0-1 win Dane City Warriors beat Soreenium.

Tovenian Conference East

With both Munnin and Nacho Isle crashing out of the top league both will be desperate to return to the top league (especially Skandan side Munnin who have found themselves in the Eastern Conference with a lot of long away trips) but only 1 can automatically.
At the halfway point Muninn are one on track with a 2pt lead over Gherk and a 5pt lead over Toasti and Corrie.
With just 2 games left it looks set to be a 2 team race with Nacho Isle and Hougun City on the same points. Gherk and Muninn have an outside chance of making the top 2 but are 4 and 5 points behind respectively.
With a game to go Nacho have drawn bur Hougun win again. Will they hold on? They have! Both sides win so Hougun City Lords 55pts are back. Nacho Isles 53pts have the playoff place finishing just ahead of Gherk 51pts with Muninn 44pts in 4th. Connaught Jesters 23pts and New Neiland Rooks 17pts will be glad the seasons over at the bottom.

Tovenian Conference West

Gundir will be desperate not to face the disappointment of the playoffs yet again but with the introduction of Norsk, that will be hard to do.
It's a tight League at the halfway mark with Jorvik just 2pts ahead of Lambeth and Norsk.
With 2 games left, Norsk have had a strong 2nd half of the season and have beat up a 5pt lead over Lambeth and a 6pt lead over Gundir. Norsk lost their penultimate game so going into the final match both Lambeth and Gundir can catch them especially as Norsk will play Lambeth. A draw is enough for Norsk Rebels 51pts to win the Conference but it meant Gundir 50pts took the playoff spot leapfrogging Lambeth 49pts. Islande 44pts take 4th. At the bottom it was a bad campaign for Fenrir 24pts and Northolt 23pts.

Tovenian Prima League

Melbourne are beginning to really dominate the Prima League, buy can this season be different? After more investment in the club it looks unlikely, bit can someone step up and prove the critics wrong?
The 2 new sides from Conference East have been brilliant so far. Macaroni have been the surprise package for the 1st half of the season. They are ahead of Melbourne on goal difference and 3pts ahead of the other newly promoted side Belle Vue and 5pts ahead of Benmoor, Soreenium and Wincaster. At the bottom, Gordon and Dorchaster are in the drop zone and Pickle and Burgar are just above only a couple of pts ahead. They are all hoping for a better 2nd half of the season.
It's an exciting end to the season, and Melbourne are starting to show their class once more. With 2 games left they are now 2pts ahead of Macaroni who have had a brilliant 1st season. Wincaster are a point further behind and 3pts further behind Dane make up the top 4. Soreenium and Belle Vue are just behind and could still reach the regional spots. At the bottom Gordon and Pickle are in the relegation zone but Dorchaster are on the same points and Chessunt are in the last playoff spot.
Melbourne Settlers 76pts have come good at the right time once again. With their 4th title in a row they are unstoppable! Wincaster 71pts took 2nd and newbies Macaroni 69pts came 3rd with Dane 65pts just ahead of Soreenium 65pts. At the bottom we say fairwell to Pickle 38pts and Prima League OGs Dorchaster 37pts. Gordon 38pts and Chessunt 44pts are the 2 in the playoff zone with New Neiland 46pts just surviving.

Playoffs

So we will see Nacho Isle having to beat Gordon and Gundir once again trying to get through the playoffs but they have another tough challenge against Chessunt.
Once again it is heartbreak for Gundir with a 3-1 loss to Chessunt, they have failed gain promotion through the playoffs yet again.
After a great campaign last season and reaching the Refugi Cup final early this year Gordons season has unravelled. This was summed up by a dismal 0-2 loss to Nacho Isles Dippers who will be back in the Prima League next time out.

Mama Cumberdale's Meat-Pie Cup

We're halfway through the season so it's time for round 1 of the cup. It was a great round for; Fenrir, Northolt, Waltham Courage, Norsk, Reading, Jorvik, Lambeth, Muninn, Esgarston, Locksley, Wincaster Knights, Montacute, Belle Vue and Kalallit all getting wins.
And in the games of the round Macaroni beat Hougun 1-0 in a tight affair and Nacho Isle squeezed past Islande 2-3.
In Round 2 Burgar destroyed newly promoted Norsk 4-0. Most games similarly saw the Prima League team dominate, but Lambeth beat relegated Dorchaster with a win on penalties and Fenrir beat Perivale 2-3.
In Round 3 the game of the round was undoubtedly Fenrir drawing 2-2 with Prima League Waltham and beating them on penalties. As the sole remaining Conference side they will be joined by New Neiland, Macaroni, Melbourne, Wincaster, Dane, Soreenium and Connaught.
In the Quarter finals New Neiland beat Macaroni, Melbourne beat Wincaster in a clash of the titans, Fenrir shocked Dane and Soreenium beat Connaught.
The 2 big clubs have been drawn together in the semis so New Neiland and little Fenrir have a shot at a final and maybe a title. Soreenium have shocked Melbourne 5-0 and the shocks almost continued when Fenrir drew with New Neiland but lost on penalties this time.
In the final it is the underdogs New Neiland Sentinels who take the Cup with a comfortable 2-0 win over Soreenium as they take their 1st National Cup

SEASON 16

Refugia Championship

In a repeat of last season, Waltham will be trying to join Melbourne in the biggest competition in Refugia. With a 4-2 victory they have done it again.
In week 1 Melbourne got off to a shocking start losing 3-0 but Waltham pick up a point. In week 2 Waltham had the disaster losing 4-0 but Melbourne recover winning 1-3. In week 3 Melbourne lost again and despite Waltham's 1st win both teams have failed to qualify.

Refugi Cup

With this being the 1st season with Tovenia being granted an extra slot in Regionals, Connaught will be starting their season early having to go through 2 qualifying rounds. They got off to a dream start winning 2-0 and will join 3rd place Gordon in the final qualifiers.
With a 3-0 win, Gordon will join Wincaster in the Refugia Cup but with a 0-2 loss Connaught haven't made it.
In week 1 Wincaster have started with a strong win, but Gordon have lost. Week 2 had disappointing losses for both sides and with the same outcome in week 3 neither side have escaped the group stage.

With no teams escaping the group stage in either competition it is a dark time for Tovenia.

Getaway! Top Tier Trophy

This seasons tournament proves to be an interesting one as last seasons winners Montacute were relegated last season and will not be taking part, so who will win their 1st silverware this season?
In Round 1 there were wins for Burgar, Gordon, Chessunt, Perivale, Benmoor and Stilton. Plus in the games of the round Dorchaster beat Melbourne 0-3 and Pickle beat Soreenium 2-0.
In the Quarter finals, Perivale, Stilton, Chessunt and Dorchaster have made it through to the final 4.
In the Semi-finals Perivale beat Chessunt 3-2 and they will be facing Stilton who won 2-3 against Dorchaster.
It's finals day. Perivale are looking for their 1st ever silverware where as Stilton are keen to add to their 1 National cup win. Stilton Gifters have done it! With a 1-2 win they are the TTT champions.

Tovenian Conference East

Belle Vue made the playoffs last season so will be desperate to straight up this time, but with Hougun back in the Conference, will they stand in their way?
Half way through and with just 2pts between Belle Vue, Macaroni, Gherk and Toasti the Conference is still anyone's.
With 2 games to go it is so tight with Macaroni just 2pts ahead of Belle Vue who will grab the automatic spot? Gherk can still grab 2nd spot too.
It is Macaroni Tubers 48pts who will be back in the top flight after finishing just ahead of Belle Vue 46pts. Toasti 44pts and Gherk 43pts will be disappointed to have finished just short. It was a season to forget for Connaught Jesters 29pts and New Neiland Rooks 21pts.

Tovenian Conference West

Montacute were not happy to be relegated especially after being crowned TTT champions and will look to rectify that, but Gundir have been brilliant for the last 2 seasons and will be tough to beat.
At the halfway point, with an 8pt lead over Islande and 9pts ahead of Lambeth and Montacute, Gundir are dominating the Conference.
With 2 games left Gundir have a 3pt lead over Montacute who in turn are 3pts ahead of Lambeth who have launched quite the comeback.
In the closest season ever Montacute Founders 55pts are jubilant beating a bitterly disappointed Gundir 55pts on goal difference. Lambeth 46pts and Jorvik 45pts were well behind. Wincaster Knights 21pts will hope for improvements next season along with  Fenrir 18pts.

Tovenian Prima League

With a 10 point margin of victory last season and more investment over the season, Melbourne will be confident they can take the title again. Can Waltham or former champs Wincaster or Soreenium stop them? Can New Neiland and Norsk avoid the drop once again? Nacho Isle and Muninn (the 1st of the new teams to gain promotion) will be hoping not.
Half way and similar to last season there are some surprises at the top. Chessunt are just ahead of Burgar and Dorchaster with Melbourne and Harison not far behind them. However the biggest shock is at the bottom Muninn are comfortably last, but 3x League winners Wincaster are 2nd from bottom. Gordon and Benmoor are also not out of trouble as things stand.
With a couple of games left, Melbourne have done what they do best and look set to win the league after a stellar winning streak. Burgar, Chessant and Dorchaster are fighting for second place with others still in the mix too. At the bottom Munnin will be relegated with Norsk, Reading and Waltham the most likely to join them.
It was a familiar professional job from the champions Melbourne Settlers 76pts, beating and impressive Burgar 65pts. Soreenium 63pts and Dorchaster 62pts made up the top 4 with Chessunt 61pts just missing out. At the bottom, Norsk 45pts and Muninn 37pts are down. Nacho Isle 47pts and Reading 45pts will have to fight for their spots in the playoffs. Pickle 47pts will be relieved to escape this season.

Play offs

With the most points Gundir will have to beat Reading and Belle Vue will take on Nacho Isle. Will there be any changes this season?
Belle Vue Crescents are back! They have shocked Nacho Isle 1-2.
It is heartbreak for Gundir yet again losing 3-2. Reading are safe!

Mama Cumberdale's Meat-Pie Cup

Round 1 is underway and we have wins for Lascelle, Finn, Toasti, New Neiland Rooks, Esgarston, New Neiland Sentinels, Montacute, Muninn, Waltham Courage, Blapislava, Norsk, Macaroni, Locksley Drivers, Nacho Isle, Svedd and Fenrir.
In Round 2 it was mostly business as usual for the Prima League sides however there were some shocks. Former champs but now Conference side Finn took Stilton to a 3-3 draw and then beat them on penalties and Conference East champs Macaroni beat the Prima League champs Melbourne 0-2. Soreenium also lost 1-2 to Muninn, plus newly promoted Montacute beat Perivale 2-1 and bottom side New Neiland Rooks beat Chessunt 0-1.
Round 3 saw wins for Gordon, Waltham,  Wincaster, Connaught,  Benmoor, Burgar and Harison. In the game of the round, newly relegated Norsk beat top 4 side Dorchaster 3-2.
It's the Quarter finals and Benmoor beat Harison, Gordon defeated Burgar, Waltham beat Norsk and there was a win for the current champs Wincaster over Connaught.
In the Semi-finals Gordon will host Waltham and Benmoor will have to beat the Champs Wincaster. In bots games it was underdog stories. Congratulations to Gordon and Benmoor. We will have a Maltlovian champion this season! Gordon Stabbers have done it! With a 0-2 win they are the Champions.

SEASON 15

It's back and bigger than ever. The Prima League is now 20 teams strong as Tovenia have qualified for 1 additional team in the Refugia Cup from next Season. The biggest change is the bottom 2 still get automatically relegated with 18th and 17th both fighting for their places in the league against the runners up of the conferences! Let's see how this plays out.

Refugia Championship

Melbourne will be looking for another successful campaign in Refugia but can Waltham join them and establish themselves as a Force in Tovenia? They can in dramatic style. A 4-3 win seals their place in the Championship.
In week 1 both Melbourne and Waltham got off to winning starts. Melbourne lost in week 2 but Waltham scraped another point. Both could progress but a loss for both means Melbourne are out. The extra pound means Waltham have qualified 2nd.
In the Quarter finals the Pilgrims gave it their best drawing 2-2 but lost on penalties.

Refugia Cup

With Stilton's Cup win they get their 1st taste of Refugia and old veterans Soreenium will be hoping to join them.
With a 1-0 win Soreenium have made it.
Week 1 saw Stilton grab a win and Soreenium get a draw. In week 2 a loss for Soreenium leaves them needing a win for any chance of progressing, but a win for Stilton means they are through with a week to spare. With both teams losing Soreenium are out.
In the Quarter finals a 2-1 loss was the end for Stilton.

Getaway! Top Tier Trophy

Burgar will be hoping  to become the 2nd club to win back to back TTT titles.
In the games of round 1 Reading beat Melbourne 2-0 and Pickle beat Wincaster. They are joined by Soreenium, Waltham, Stilton and the champs Burgar were amongst the others to progress.
In the Quarter finals Soreenium beat Stilton 4-0, Pickle beat the chips Burgar. They are joined by Waltham and Montacute both coming through tight games.
The Semi-finals saw Pickle beat Waltham and Montacute beat Soreenium.
Neither team have ever won a trophy so who will take their chance? It's a huge congratulations to Montacute Founders winning 0-1. They have their 1st silverware.

Tovenian Conference East

With Belle Vue losing their spot in the top flight, they will be desperate to return at the 1st time of asking. Can anyone stop them?
Halfway through the season and Belle Vue are off the pace. Gherk are top with Lascelle, Nacho Isle and Blapislava looking most likely to take the playoff spot.
With an 8 point lead and 2 games left Nacho Isle will be back in the top flight. With 3pts between a much improved Belle Vue, Macaroni, a slipping Gherk and Lascelle, who will get a shot in thebnew playoffs?
Nacho Isle Dippers 51pts are the Champions with Belle Vue 49pts still in with a chance of promotion finishing just ahead of Macaroni 46pts and Gherk 44pts. At the bottom New Neiland Rooks 21pts had a tough 1st season finishing just ahead of Corrie 13pts.

Tovenian Conference West

Gundir and Muninn had good seasons last time out and both would love to be the first of the new clubs to make it to the Prima League. But with so many new clubs who know who will win.
Halfway through, Munnin are seizing the initiative. Behind them Lambeth, Northolt, Gundir and Svedd are all fighting to stay with them.
With 2 games left Gundir have closed the gap and pulled away with Muninn still just ahead. It's a 2 team race. Who will take the title?
In a battle Skandan sides Muninn Ravens 54pts have won the Conference on goal difference ahead of Gundir 54pts. Lambeth 45pts and Islande 43pts couldn't get close. At the bottom Saxon City Destroyers 25pts finished ahead of Fenrir 19pts.

Prima League

With such a tight League last season and just 1 point between Melbourne, Waltham and Stilton, all will be hoping to take the title. Will the extra teams and games help or hinder them? With an extra qualification spot for regionals and 4 teams in relegation jeopardy there is so much to play for.
With half the games played we have a surprise leader. Gordon have built up a 5 point lead over more familiar teams Melbourne, Wincaster and Dorchaster. At the bottom New Neiland are adrift. Hougun are occupying the other auto relegation spot and Norsk and Chessunt need to get out of the play off spots.
With 2 games to go Melbourne look to have the league sewn up with Waltham, Connaught, a now struggling Gordon and Wincaster fighting over the other top 4 spaces. Hougun will be relegated, but Montacute could save themselves just 2pts behind Norsk and New Neiland in the playoff spots.
Melbourne Settlers 75pts have stopped Gordon and won the league again. Waltham 65pts have come 2nd with Gordon 62pts 3rd and Connaught 60pts in 4th. Soreenium have missed out in 5th.
We bid farewell to a very disappointed  Montacute 43pts especially after their TTT win and Hougun 37pts. Harison 45pts have just survived but Norsk 44pts and New Neiland 44pts are in the play off  zone. Can they survive?

Play-offs

In the new look play-offs both 2nd place Conference teams will get a chance to make it to the Prima League. The higher scoring team plays 18th and the lower scoring plays 17th.
This season Gundir will have to beat New Neiland for promotion and Norsk will have to beat Belle Vue to survive.
New Neiland  have beaten Gundir 1-0  and will stay in the Prima League. Norsk have also won 2-0 and will keep their spot.

Mama Cumberdale's Meat-Pie Cup

After last season, Stilton will be hoping to retain the Cup. The tournament is now bigger and more prestigious than ever so everyone will want the Cup.
We are at the halfway point in the year so it is time (for the 1st time ever) for the new look 1st round including the 4 Prima League sides not in the TTT.
In 2 massive shocks current Prima League leaders are out, beaten by Nacho Isle, whilst Perivale lost to Macaroni. Amongst the other results, Connaught and Gherk are through along with Belle Vue, Norsk and former champs Finn all made it through.
In Round 2, last seasons top 16 join in. Will there be more shocks?
In Round 2 there was one massive shock in their 1st professional season Locksley Drivers drew 1-1 with League Champions Melbourne and won in a thrilling penalty shootout. Blapislavia also beat Hougun Lords ending their miserable season. The other results went as expected including Wincaster Crowns beating Wincaster Knights in their 1st ever darby match.
In Round 3 the games of the round saw Pickle beat Soreenium 1-2 and Conference side Blapislava beat Reading. All other favourites progressed as expected.
In the Quarter finals Norsk, New Neiland, Wincaster and Stilton progressed.
The Semi-finals saw Wincaster beat New Neiland 3-0 and Norsk win 1-0 against Stilton.
It's the end of the season, finals day and with 3 League titles, 3 Cup titles and 2 Refugia Championship titles Wincaster are the firm favourites, especially as this is Norsk's 1st ever final. After a mediocre season this is Wincaster's only route to regionals. Can they be the 1st ever 4 times Cup Champions? Yes! with a 3-1 win Wincaster Crowns are the Champions again.
