The highway system in the Empire of Afaenvia are generally well-maintained at a scale of 7-8.5/10. It is built and maintained jointly by the government and private industries, with the government controlling the maintenance of expressways up to 100km from the city limits and the private industries controlling and maintaining the rest of the system outside of the 100km zone.

The revenue generated for the maintenance of these highway systems come from the road and vehicle taxes for the government sector and the toll fees and custom taxes for the private sectors.

Optimum speed limits on roads and highways in Afaenvia are at 70-80 km/h. It is allowed to go faster, ONLY when safety is taken into check and all guidelines and traffic laws obeyed.
