Wolfic Names

In Wolflandil, Names are fairly important to the individual, and many times very long, with four Names being attached to any individual.

Most Names are written Family Name, Patronym/Matronym Subname and Personal Name.

For example:
Kirunove Alexanderov' Andrei Shin.
Kirunove would be the Family Name and is fairly common to use for strangers or in a formal setting.

Alexanderov' is the Patronym. Patronyms are used more by friends or distant relatives, like 2nd cousins or further out.

Andrei is a Subname. Subnames are the name used by close friends, your dating partner originally anyone who isn't In your immediate family. It is also the name that determines your Patronym/Matronym.

Shin is the personal name. Personal Names are reserved for family and spouses. Personal names are never used in public, except for in death.
