Santa Thereza (Campeonato Thereziano) was founded in 1959 and recently became the only competition between football clubs in South America to go professional in January 2022. It currently hosts 16 clubs from 9 states. Winners of the NFL compete in the Centenary Libertadores Cup, against all Sudamericana nations.
