I remember telling this story when I first joined. I was actually extremely torn on whether or not I should join. My old region was made for a bunch of us who were on the same Discord server, and thought it would be fun to be in the same region together. Over time however, we shrunk from 40 members, to 30, to 20, to about 7 when I left. Even now, just 4 of their nations just sit there, 2 of which are ready to CTE within the next two weeks. It was such a shame. I knew I was ready to move on from the husk of the region I formerly called home.Ever since then, I've been very glad to call Thaecia my new home. I've been so happy being here and serving in the House of Commons, and I truly believe this is a region everyone is willing to work on and grow together.

I have never heard of Thaecia until very recently; my main nation is Apabeossie and it resides in Europe. Many nations in Europe has some sort of ties/relationships with Thaecia(Dizgovzy, Laver/Kors, Sather etc.) so I thought "hey, why not join a new region?" and sent one of my puppets there.

For me, I was in a region with a bunch of irl friends. It was alright for awhile, but the group (myself included) moved on from nationstates, since we never really got involved beyond issues and the WA. When I refounded Rhyssua (which was my secondary), I tried to get this group back into it, but they weren't as interested any more. Then I started getting recruitment TGs, and Thaecia's piqued my interest.

(fun fact, one of the interesting things about the tg was that there were plans to create a judicial branch, and there was a chance to join it)

Thaecia is really the first region I stayed in for more then a few days. (Although to be fair, at the point when I joined, I had just created my NS account). I was kinda just hopping from region to region, checking out the embassy lists in the region I was temporarily in and bouncing to the region that looked a little prettier, more fun. As I was living the NS nomad life, I got a telegram from everyone's favorite president, Xernon. I remember thinking that the way Thaecia was described made me feel like the person writing was really feeling it. It was a smaller region too, which I thought would be fun to stick with and look back on. I've got to say, I'm really glad I did, you guys are all really the best, and Thaecia is the first place where I've felt like I'm part of a community.

I had one good region for a long time with that first account, but it succumbed to toxicity after several months. After that, I was a nomad. I took an interest in investing in young regions, showing up to help out, trying to help them stay alive, but those projects all died, as small regions do. Around two years ago, I switched to using Saint Ryvern as my main account. After a long time of activity mainly on the forums I was about to quit. But then last year I found the Democratika, the best community I’ve been a part of on here in a long time. It was great there for a few months, but the founders quit and it tapered off. The activity there had reignited my interest in NS though, so I searched through the “regional government” tag, noticed Thaecia, and the rest is history.

I joined Thaecia when I was still really new to NS. I spent a little time region hopping, looking through all the recruitment telegrams. I settled on the region The Allied Republic for a day or so. That was okay. I then got a recruitment telegram for Thaecia and decided that I liked the look of it better. Joined Thaecia and haven't looked back since. Y'all were pretty nice answering the questions that I had. One of the things I like the most about Thaecia is the size. Big enough where it's pretty active, but small enough where you can have a close community.

On Feb 7 2019, I got a telegram from Xernon, with the general 'come join our region' stuff. I know I was either the 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, or 19th person to join Thaecia. Honestly, I just liked the look of the region and was too annoyed at how many telegrams I was getting and just kinda ignored them, eventually on the 17th of February I became involved with the discord and worked my way into the regional culture from there. Since then I've not been able to get away no matter how hard I've tried XD

I had known that my best mate on this site Laver was active here, but never knew just how important he was to Thaecia. Over time, I found that I much preferred the Thaecian government and bureaucracy against the European one, and I found myself making friends in a new region, like Marv, ICH, and Edan Land. I was in a region with Andusre & Xernon called the New Western Atlantic and I was under the name Becklana. I was in the region for around 15 months and it was my first ever region. Andusre & Xernon created Thaecia and a few weeks later invited me to come along. I gradually reduced my commitment to the NWA and increased it in Thaecia at the point of, come April, Thaecia was my only home and I have stayed since and do not regret a single moment in my nearly 15 months here. It is crazy to think I have been using NS for nearly 2 and a half years.

I was kinda bored because I had no work to do after office work. I searched in Google "Nation,States" and saw a URL named Nationstates.net. I was curious to know what kind of thing it was. I clicked the URL and then saw that it was a game. I loved to play games. I made a nation and named it "Indian Genius". Lol, I still wonder why did I give that name. Then, I was in some default region for some time. I gave answers to the issues. I was getting bored with the game. Then, one day, I got a Telegram from Xernon (so sad he's not in NS anymore) and got interest. And, then came to this region and hence I posted my first post in RMB page number 151. I am a new member to this region. What are the things I should do after joining this region?:P. I still wonder how time flies! It has been almost a year I have come here! I am very happy to say that I am proud to say this region my home. My only home in NationStates.

I came to NationStates off of pure coincidence; I used to play a while ago in the North Pacific but I didn't like it that much and I left. When I came back, I wanted to find a region with an organized government, since in basically every MMO I play I have made an organized government, made reforms for it, etc. When I got a recruitment message from Thaecia, it stood out, because it seemed to have a very well-organized government (but not so perfect that I can't contribute).
