TITO Update - April 2021

TITO Update - April 2021

TITO Command

Has your region been invaded, or do you want to get in touch with TITO? If so, contact one of the following nations:
~Chief Executive: Markanite
~Field Commander: Kanta Hame
~Tactical Officers: Shy Guyia, Smugglers and Mercs (TITO EF), Controlitia, Wischland, Sulenia, Flying Eagles
~Executive Officers: Hakketomat, HN67

The Update Update

TITO saw a quieter month this April, but nonetheless stayed on their toes, ready to defend innocent regions. As the month drew to a close, our troops totaled 11 defenses, 4 liberations, 4 detags, and one chase run. There was plenty of coordination with other regions, be it through chasing and libbing regions with Libcord, fash bashes with other militaries, or assisting in delegate transitions. In fact, the last few weeks of the month saw TITO members actively supporting delegates in three different regions every update. Although there was plenty of switching to be done, TITO members were eager to put in the work and make sure regional delegacies were in the right nationís hands!

Monthly Memes

TITO members had a blast joking around with one another in between switches this month.

TITO Interview

This April we spoke with Control, a long-time member of TITO, twice-retired member of Command, and current TITO Tactical Officer.

Wisch: When did you first join TITO, and why?
Control: I first joined TITO in 2012 because I found out that regions were getting raided and that seemed to be a good way to get involved in NS more deeply
Wisch: And since then you moved up the ranks quite a bit and are now serving as a Tactical Officer. What does that job entail?
Control: As a Tactical Officer, you're expected to provide leadership for all TITO members. That ranges from coastwatching to planning operations to mentoring TITO members to communicating with natives about potential raids.
Wisch: This is actually your third time in the position, correct? What makes you keep coming back?
Control: That's correct, and I come back for the XKI community for sure. The vibe is a terrific combination of goofy and friendly and also at this point I have a ton of old friends that it's good to see and come back to. Then, when I come back to XKI in general, it has never taken super long before the existing TITO Command go "hey you're experienced, you want to be a TO again?"
Wisch: Whatís your favorite TITO mission/memory?
Control: So back in the old days, update chat was on the Proboards forum and it had a couple sound effects that command could play. One was a whipcrack, which they'd use to get our attention, and one was a meow that would signal the jump. One time Wordy, who was FC at the time, got them mixed up when we were watching two different raider groups crossing and meowed. Half of us jumped, some into their staging regions, some into random regions that they thought might be the target.
Wisch: Where do you see TITO going in the future, and whatís your part in it?
Control: I think TITO is developing into an organization that intentionally and dedicatedly communicates with natives in smaller regions and advocates for them and their needs. I hope to help in that communication and to maintain connections to many of the thriving communities that are at risk of being raided and help them defend themselves as much as possible.
Wisch: Any final comments?
Control: Anyone who'd like to get to know XKI and its people better (and isn't a raider) is always welcome to come meme with us!

Until next month, this is your TITO Update Staff signing off - Wischland
