The Solemn Republic of Oenos commonly called Oenos, is a unitary constitutional parliamentary republic in South Osea. It is bordered by [nation]Friently[/nation] and [nation]Pinguioris[/nation], both along the center-coast of the nation. Oenos covers 398,530 square kilometers and has has an estimated population of 36,000,000. Oenos comprises of 9 Provinces, 3 Autonomous Republics and a Free State, known as [nation]Hadreon[/nation].

Oenian foreign relations are complicated, as only selected nations are allowed to trade with the country. The two nations that do trade with Oenos, most frequently that is, are [nation]German Spitsbergen[/nation] and [nation]5 Kingdoms of Britannia[/nation]. The name "Oenos" comes from the native tribes of the Oenositiki. When the Oenisitikian language got romanticized, the word would get heavily shortened to Oenos.

The standard way to refer to a citizen of Oenos is as a "Oenian."

Oenian history is relatively simple, with the only history taught in schools being all eras after the Oenian Revolution and Establishment of the Republic. From 1527 and on-wards, Oenos has been in all kinds of war, most of which, Oenos has won. However, thanks to Oenian Foreign Policy, little to no lands have been taken from said wars. After 1897, Oenos has decided to remain neutral and expand its industries, shortly after opening up to the international markets in 1903. From 1903-2021, Oenos has not changed alot, with the exception of civil rights reforms, and government subsidies on new farming technologies, keeping the prices "fair".

Geographically, Oenos is relatively stable, with the northern-half of the nation having the most variation in its geography. Northern Oenos consists mostly of dense tropical forests, and several plains, with the Carpian Mountains cutting it in half. North of the Carpian Mountains, lay hilly "pacific-like" lands, with redwood forests overtaking the terrain. Southern Oenos consists mainly of plains, and contains the country's biggest river; The Iaros. It consists mainly of plains and small-scale river deltas, alongside great natural ports along its coast.

Oenian Climate, is a different story, with the north receiving record amounts of rainfall, especially south of the Carpian Mountains. Along the south, the rainfall continues, however, it starts to decrease while you go down. Cities like Kalos and Volos, are split into Monsoon and Dry seasons, Monsoon Season being from July to May, and Dry Season being from May to July.

The Oenian Enviroment is praised globally for its lack of industrial pollution, as Oenos has started to prioritize its enviroment thanks to the principal of Yratos; Respecting and Collaborating with Nature. Thanks to this, much of the north is filled with national parks, and any lumber industry is only allowed within government-checked plantations.

The Oenian Population is a relatively unified bunch, as over 78% of the country either has Greek or Spaniard ancestry. Oenos itself was founded by Greek & Spanish settlers, and over the decades, it has been flooded by all types of cultures. For now, one of the biggest minorities in Oenos are the Hadreans, a group of secluded Orthodox-Oenositikians who live in seclusion and have a relatively backwards society, in terms of technology.

The Oenian Language; Oenisian, is a Latin and tribal based language consisting of a romanticized script and a basic alphabet, mimicking the Italian and Greek languages with heavy inspiration from Turkish and Albanian.

Oenian religion is extremely diverse, with about 40% of the population believing in Roman Catholicism. From there, another 30% believing in Protestant Catholicism, and the remainder being a mix of Orthodox Christianity, Islam, Secularism and Tribalism.

Oenisians are very tan, and are based off the Southern European/Mediterranean Races such as the Greeks and Italians. Little to no Oenisians have blue eyes or blonde hair, as brown and black hair remains as a dominant gene within the nation.

The government of Oenos consists of two houses; the Senate and the People's Council. Alongside this, third and fourth powers exists, within the Supreme Court and the President. Oenos has a "cooperative" democracy, as Ministries are elected, not chosen, forcing coalitions and cooperation. The Supreme Court is complete separate from politics, and an additional council exists, to reinforce the constitution along all laws, which have debatably, more power than all 4 bodies.

The Oenian Military, on the other hand, is split into 3 bodies; The Armed Forces, The Navy, and The Airforce. All of the three divisions are flooded by conscripted recruits, as mandatory training in one of the three is needed to gain Oenian citizenship, live life after 18 without being arrested. In total, the Army has about 400,000 men and an additional 534,000 in reserves. Oenos prohibits any more information be shared about its army, under a possible invasion.

The economy of Oenos is a relatively stable one, as Drachma's haven't seen any major inflation since 2 decades ago, in 1990. Oenos currently has a booming economy, as its soy industry grows with the rapidly growing demand for soy, especially around Northern Osea. Alongside this, Oenos also has a growing manufacturing and shipping industry up north, and a developing banking, tourist industry. All of this together means a relatively stable and backed-up economy, with strict laws on printing and distributing money.

Oenian culture is heavily based around the Latin, Greek and Spanish cultures, as many of their holidays are mixed and churned into the unique mix of culture that is Oenos. For one, Oenos uses the Gregorian calendar, one of the few nations within SR that does so. Alongside this, Oenos also has  romanticized language, celebrating "semana santa" and "dia de los reyes magos" as alternatives for Christmas.

Oenian infrastructure is one of the most modern in the world, built mostly during the 2000s economic boom and 2010 economic surplus. Much of this infrastructure consists of public transport, Mag-Lev trains, advanced airports, alongside tunnels, shipping lanes, and a lot of bridges. Currently, Oenos provides a set of "charging ports" for EV's and other vehicles that run on electricity.

Oenian Energy relies on a series of 5 nuclear power plants, all of whom run on thorium, along a series of over 50 geothermal & wind power plants along the nation. Thanks to this, over 98% of Oenian energy is "green", and Oenos itself has one of the lowest carbon footprints in Southern Osea.
