Following the most recent GIW, in which Krystalveil was defeated, a peace treaty was organized. Krystalveil kept 45% of Saturn, Porflox recieved 45% of Saturn, and Zaberaz hapang recieved 10%. After the war, Zaberaz hapang sold their territory to Krystalveil. Porflox then immediately demanded 5% of Saturn from Krystalveil, citing earlier messages and a policy of fairness. Krystalveil refused. Porflox escalated tensions by insisting that WOSOO would join them if a war arose to capture the 5% of Saturn*. In fact, the WOSOO charter states that the alliance would only join wars if it was an unprovoked attack. WOSOO would not join. Krystalveil began to amass their forces near Saturn and it seemed a standoff was inevitable. Krystalveil then began to amass forces on the moon, where Porflox also owned territory. Porflox continued to insist that Krystalveil had agreed to have an even amount of territory on Saturn. Krystalveil gave Porflox an ultimatum: get out of Krystalveil's land or start war. A GIW seems imminent.

Krystalveil began hostilities by shooting down several of Porflox's ships in the contested portion of Saturn. From Porflox's point of view, these were innocent ships shot down in contested territory. From Krystalveil's perspective, these ships were trespassing on their territory and had every right to shoot them down. A major conflict may come of this.

Porflox then continued to send a random assortment of ships into Krystalveil's territory, knowing they would be shot down. Krystalveil then moved tanks into Porflox's territory on the Moon, which were repulsed, but the conflict had begun.

Porflox removed their forces from Saturn to help with the Moon war effort and Venmere moved in several ships to help keep the disputed 5% under Krystalveil's control. Venmere then sent a legion of spaceships to Saturn to claim part of it for themselves. They also sent another legion to the Moon to blockade. Porflox sent many ships and, since most of the forces were on the ground, seemed to be winning the air battle. Venmere then attacked Porflox's ships, and Zaberaz hapang sent millions as well. A brilliant air battle began.

Porflox had to leave for the night and the war was put on hold. Venmere moved several space legions to locations around the Solar System, namely Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune. Zaberaz hapang and Krystalveil continued a brutal war on the surface of the Moon, with Porflox gaining the upper hand as they went to bed. Tomorrow this story will be continued.

Through it all, New Meixio's taco stand remained open, vigilant as ever. They were an inspiring beacon of hope throughout the battle (or at least a cheap place to get some lunch).

Gonggong remained solidly against the war the entire day, trying to get peace. He even prevented East Cashinamasian from committing genocide, but could not stop the other nations from descending into war over Saturn.

The Galactic American Imperium continued to eat popcorn and watch from the sidelines all day.

In the quiet of the lull, a short discussion between Porymonia and New Meixio escalated quickly and Porymonia sent a ship into New Meixio's waters. A short standoff with no lives lost and no casualties resulted in the ship leaving New Meixio's waters and a conflict was avoided.

Meanwhile, Porflox still did not show up, even 12 hours after the original action.

In the lull of the original battle, Porymonia and Margaux asked to talk to The Wires Empire. The Wires Empire, seeing this and fearing it to be a move to annex them, immediately declared that they would nuke themselves and kill their citizens before allowing themselves to be annexed. A situation that probably was not going to turn out bad escalated insanely quickly with The Wires Empire sending scathing, shouting messages to the RMB. The Galactic American Imperium, East Cashinamasian, Porymonia, Haivon, New Meixio, and Margaux all got in on the action, arguing with The Wires Empire. What will become of this, it is not clear.

Finally, the battle began again. Krystalveil and Venmere began their assault on the Moon, with Venmere landing forces on the surface for the first time in the war. Meanwhile, Zaberaz hapang began to move their forces from Mercury (which had been scarred from a war with Haivon which may be detailed in a later dispatch) to the Moon.

Zaberaz hapang, Krystalveil, and Venmere waged a brutal surface battle on the Moon. Before long they were winning. A peace conference was called. Venmere suggested Saturn being split 70% to Krystalveil and 15% each to Venmere and Zaberaz hapang, while Porflox would retain 10% of the Moon but their three opponents would all recieve 5%. This offer was rejected. Venmere then proposed that Porflox would only give up 10% of the Moon, with Venmere themselves agreeing not to recieve any. This offer, likewise, was rejected because Porflox wanted 45% of the Moon before surrendering.

Because of the rejection the war continued to rage. Before long, the Trialliance had taken all of Porflox's territory on the Moon and had fortified their Saturn positions. Porflox made to attack Jupiter and Venmere moved two legions there to compliment the one already in orbit.

It was at this point that Krystalveil had to leave, and the battle was temporarily put on hold.

In the lull, Venmere moved their fleets to evenly position them at each planet that Porflox might have attacked. Porflox, ever vigilant, refused to surrender and instead continued to make hit-and-runs on select locations, hoping to take something over to get a foothold with which to mount a resistance. The Galactic American Imperium at this point expressed their desire to join the Trialliance. Kaltovar, through it all, did not join either side, displaying a desire to let other nations work out their own conflicts. We here at the VATAHA (Venmere A Taco Archipelago History Administration), at least, applaud them for this.

All in all, Porflox's actions were quite unusual. They typically are a levelheaded, just nation. But out of nowhere they are sending ships into other nations' airspace, refusing to give up when they have clearly lost, starting a war over territory they never had and it was never on the table for them to have, and going to war against members of their own alliance.

We here at the VATAHA hope that Porflox, whatever may be happening in game or out of it, will soon escape from it and come to realize that the only way they can win in this war is by losing it.

In the lull of the second day, Haivon and Venmere proposed annexing Porflox to help them escape from the vengeance of Krystalveil and Zaberaz hapang.

Porflox tried to use ATA's charter and some intricate worldplay and semantics to try and negate the Trialliance's advantages over them. They have not as of yet directly appealed to see if their attempts will be successful.

Haivon and Venmere, seeing no other option, collectively invaded Porflox's mainland. Happily, before a single shot was fired and before a single person was injured, Porflox agreed to let Venmere and Haivon peacefully annex them. The Saturn Shenanigan War was finally over. Its mark on history will not be lost. It may affect ATA events for some time to come.
