[1] - OTL Tommaso Pasquale Gizzi. Lives 20 years longer ITTL. Giovanni Maria Mastai Ferretti is vetoed by Emperor Ferdinand of Austria, the last successful veto of a Papal candidate by a Catholic monarch.
[2] - OTL Pope Leo XIII. Oversaw the Latium Crisis of 1870 and the reduction of the Papal States to the City of Rome.
[3] - OTL Mariano Rampolla. Emperor Franz Josef of Austria attempted to veto his candidature but the Cardinal arrived too late.

[5] - OTL Pietro Gasparri. Signatory of the 1929 Lateran Pacts that annexed Rome to the newly created Italian Union State. Withdrew to the Apostolic Palace in Vatican City, becoming the first "Prisoner in the Vatican".
