Ba Sing Se: N-Day⁵ Basics Guide

Ba Sing Se: N-Day⁵ Basics Guide

Greetings, traveller and welcome to the Impenetrable City of Ba Sing Se, here you may find shelter from the destruction that plagues the land. I see you are confused as to the great conflict raging outside of the city's walls. Fear not, read on and all will be revealed.

What is N-Day?
N-Day is an annual event on where nations come together in the spirit of Mutually Assured Destruction and nuke each other into deserted hellscapes. Here in Ba Sing Se we allow the conflict to rage on outside of our walls, placing the protection of our city above all else.

So, how do I get involved?

Step 1: If your region is featured on this dispatch (to be linked at a later date), just click here to view and join our faction.

Step 2: JOIN THE DISCORD
You need to join our discord server which you can find
Linkhere.

All of the below is only useful if you have joined the discord which you can find Linkhere

How to Nuke
Important Note: DO NOT attack other factions randomly, only target factions you are ordered to attack via discord, by randomly attacking other factions you could bring destruction upon our great city.

  1. Open your Production page, which you can find here.

  2. Spend some/all (as appropriate) of your production to produce nukes.

  3. Chose a nation from the target list posted on the discord, go to the nation's nuke page, click the TARGET button and target your chosen number of nukes.

  4. After 10 minutes go to your targeted page, found here. REMEMBER: Nukes not launched after 1 hour are returned to your stockpile.

  5. Launch your nukes

  6. After 3 - 5 mins your nukes will either inflict radiation damage on their target or be blocked by the enemy's shields.

How to Shield

  1. Go to the Production page and produce some shields.

  2. Find any Incoming Nukes and destroy them. Firstly, prioritise any nukes aimed at yourself, then block any and all nukes aimed at fellow faction members.

  3. Before you block the nukes launched towards other faction members - check the discord and make sure others are not already doing so. If they are not, state which nukes you are blocking as it's possible to waste shields if multiple faction members use them on the same nation.

  4. Click DESTROY to destroy nukes at the rate of 1 Shield per Nuke

Our Strategy

Ba Sing Se is a city of strength and prosperity, what happens outside our walls is of no concern to us. As a war rages on outside, we will remain strong and true--focusing on protecting this great city above all else. For there is no war in Ba Sing Se.

Those of you who have read this far must be growing quite worried about this supposed 'war'. Do not worry, you will feel much better once the Earth King has invited you to Lake Laogai.

What does this mean in terms of N-Day? We will be focusing as much as possible on shields and shielding our faction from outside forces. It won't be easy, but we will survive!

Specialities

There are 3 types of Specialities, they can alter the cost of producing Shields and Nukes or increase a nation's production cap. (The base production cost is 1 for nukes and 2 for shields):

  1. Military: These nations can build 50% more nukes when converting production

  2. Strategic These nations can build 50% more shields when converting production

  3. Economic: These nations have a production cap of 200 instead of 50

    Production:
Production is generated at a rate of 1 every 2 minutes, up to a cap of 50 or 200 for economic specialists. Once production reaches the cap, all production that could be generated in the time between the cap being reached and production being expended is lost.

    Nukes
Nukes do 1% radiation damage if they are not blocked by a shield.

    Radiation
Radiation is irreversible and proportionally reduces the rate of Productivity Generation in the ration 1:1.
When a nation reaches 100% radiation, it cannot produce any nukes or shields
