The Tumultuous Tumbleweed

The National Bureau of Investigation and Inquiry is at a loss to the location of the renegade ex-political leader Virgil Effinger. Investigations have led the government to believe that the man and his militia may have crossed the southern border and moved into the UKHS. The Foreign Ambassador to The UKHS, Ogden Hammond is expected to have a meeting with officials within the UKHS government to discuss a joint-investigation into the disappearance of Virgil Effinger.

The investigation to Virgil Effinger’s whereabouts have come up with minimal evidence to prove his presence in the UKHS. However, there were rumours about a mysterious visit to Texas by Virgil Effinger.

Quentin Roosevelt has left the country on a trip to on a state visit to the German Empire as an invitation to watch the marriage between Grand Duchess Kira Kirillovna of Russia and Louis Ferdinand, Prince of Prussia (early) . As the only American representation there, photographs were taken with Quentin Roosevelt and Heir Apparent, Prince Wilhelm III of Germany deep in conversation. Only these two people really know what these conversations were about.

Due to the growth of adverse weather within the southern regions, current acting-president Franklin Delano Roosevelt has advised the Roosevelt Agriculture Agency to carry out sustainable methods of farming within the region as soon as possible as well as to increase the storage of crops.

The investigation into the location of the Black Legion has come up with new evidence showing that the leader may have fled either East or North into Quebec.

After returning from the wedding, Quentin Roosevelt was set to return on the German Airship, Hindenburg. Due to some unexpected turbulence the airship was forced to land on the eastern banks of Lake Huron at approximately 2.00 am. While descending, observers on the airship noticed that there were strange lights that resembled a small settlement within Algonquin National Reserve. Due to the suspicions of the NBII, a reconnaissance plane was dispatched from Toronto Airfield within the region as well as members of the Canadian National Guard numbering around 20 men were dispatched to protect the president.

A search party into Algonquin National Reserve to identify the settlement found out that it wasn’t the Black Legion, rather “pagan” refugees fleeing persecution from the west who had planned to secretly assimilate into society within the GRU. They tell of horrible stories and actions carried out in the west. They had come far, secretly using mining tunnels within the Rockies and using the Northern Forests to move undetected by both FRCA and GRU border patrol and travelled east. They state that there are many more settlements like the one in Algonquin within the Northern Forests. The estimated refugee amount of around 50,000 people within the North. Some refugees seem to have origins from within the United Kingdom of Hesperidian States.

The Great Lakes’ Congress has drafted a bill stating that the refugees will be granted asylum status and freedom from persecution. However, there was no description whether the GRU would be open to any more refugees.

President Roosevelt signs an executive order signing in the Pagan Acceptance Act of 1931 into law disregarding Senate’s failure to approve the law. Furthermore, Congress did not veto the PAA. The NUP and NWR called this action “unconstitutional and illegal”.

The NBII’s ongoing-investigation into Black Legion ties within the NUP have come up showing that multiple Congressmen and Senators have been actively funnelling arms and money into the terror organisation. Arthur F. Lupp has claimed that the NBII falsified evidence and is carrying out the whims of the autocratic Roosevelt. 8 Senators and 13 Congressmen have been forced to resign and were promptly arrested on charges of domestic terrorism. The President called for a revote in the Senate considering the new revelations.
