Northern Usonean Union (DEFUNCT)

-This treaty, once ratified by the nations of East supple lund and Confederation of Independent Colonies, will mark the official start of the Northern Usonean Union.
-This treaty ensures that each member nation of the Northern Usonean Union shall retain full control of its sovereignty and international personality. The Northern Usonean Union will be unable to claim representation over international organizations, nor will it be able to overrule legislation or government decisions of the member stats, unless specifically stated in the Supple Union State treaty.
-The Northern Usonean Union shall form a Supreme State Council, consisting of the Prime Memeister, Vice Memeister and Secretary of Memez for East supple lund and the Overseer and his two sons for the Confederation of Independent Colonies. All members shall be granted a single vote within this council, requiring unanimous decisions to proceed.
-The Northern Usonean Union shall form a council of Ministers and Memeisters, composed of each nations' Foreign Affairs,
Finance, Security and Justice minister or memeister.
-The Northern Usonean Union shall form a bicameral parliament, the Federal Assembly, consisting of: the Chamber of the People and the Chamber of the Nations. The Chamber of the People shall include 50 deputies from Neo-Supple Lund and 30 deputies from the Confederation of Independent Colonies. The Chamber of Nations shall include 150 members, 75 from each member state. Deputies shall be selected through popular elections and serve five year terms of office.
-The Northern Usonean Union shall form a Supreme Supple Court of the Union, consisting of 9 judges appointed to a six year term.
-The Northern Usonean Union shall create an accounting chamber to control the implementation of a joint budget.
-The President and Vice President of the Northern Usonean Union shall be elected every 4 years. Each member state shall alternate who votes for the President and who votes for the Vice President every election cycle.
-Customs shall be completely removed between members of the Supple Union State. Any citizen has the right to both freely travel and settle within the other country, without needing their passports or immigration papers.
-Any barriers to free trade shall immediately be removed.
-Each nation will work on developing a joint currency to be implemented in the Northern Usonean Union.
-Each nation shall standardize postal routes between one another, allowing citizens to send mail to either nation at no additional cost.
-Each nation shall adopt the same educational and professional standards. Those certified in NSL will also be certified in COIC, and vice versa.
-Each nation shall hold at least one joint military exercise every year.
-To enhance the military cooperation and political unity of the Northern Usonean Union, as well as pay respects to the thousands of Supple Lundians who have died to protect the COIC, a division of 47,000 men shall be recruited from the COIC population of the Union to serve in the Supple Lundian Army. These troops are encouraged to assimilate into Supple Lundian culture and will be trained to act as a Supple Lundian unit, but will be financed by the COIC Republic.
-An attack on either member of the Northern Usonean Union is considered an attack on both member states, and both members reserve the right to intervene military.
