Official Summary of Creeptopia (Log #1)

Due to its recent instatement into the official list of 10000 Island's countries, his Royal Highness of Creeptopia has thought it appropriate that others should be informed of how we operate, what our history is, and where we stand on a global basis. This document is to serve as a sort of looking-glass into our humble nation, until a new and updated version is published of course.

How we began: Modern day Creeptopia, though still young compared to many other countries, has progressed greatly from its beginnings. Creeptopia is an island nation discovered by pilgrims some 150 years ago from some ancient civilization whose name has been lost in time. These people had nothing but what they could store on their small ships and therefore had to survive in the elements for many months. It was going well at first. The island was abundant in passive life such as cows, sheep, chickens, and pigs. In almost no time they had established a thriving base of operations. But just when everything was looking up people started to disapear. Houses were being blown to pieces on a nightly basis. The pilgrims thought that they were being attacked by perhaps other countries trying to settle as they lived primarily near the coast. But soon they understood that the island they had landed on was a thriving breeding ground for the feared Creeper. After discovering this the pilgrims immediately took desperate but efficient actions. They started looking for safer ground where they could avoid Creepers, living nomadically for a while. The safest place they found was in the desert region, where Creepers were less prominent and there were no trees to hide them. This is where the first real seeds of our nation took root, where the pilgrims built the historic palace our kings still reside in to date, and how the country obviously got its name. Since then our fair nation has pushed forward, settling into the forests and plains. But the creepers, though lesser in number, still roam the less populated regions and should still be considered a threat to all who explore outside the bounds of our villages.

Technology: We are technologically inferior to most other countries as our defense consists primarily of swords and some early firearms. Few countries feel the need to endorse us but we are progessing at a steady and healthy pace. We have imported some motor vehicles from other nations though they are not widely used. We do have electricity though, and it has helped us advance our tech much quicker than expected without it. We are advanced when it comes to naval warfare, though we dont have the huge naval bastions that some industrialized countries have. We manage very well though, and our cannons can easily blast through most armor thanks to our research in contained creeper explosives. We predict grenades, mines, non-nuclear bombs, and many other types of explosives to soon become the primary exports of Creeptopia in the upcoming years; All of which will be natural and 100% from creeper-based science. (Note: We are not planning any military activity currently at the date of this document's publication.) Architecture wise our building are basic in design, but still beautifully made thanks to our few but talented architects.

Society: There isn't much to say when it comes to our society. We are a kingdom, and along with any kingdom comes a hierarchy, though we try to take care of all our citizens the best we can. Our king is generally kind and tries his best to keep everyone happy, though any great ruler will say this is an impossible task. There is currently no queen to co-rule with the king, but there are governors for each section of the nation that are inhabited as of now. There are currently 3 sections, or regions, in Creeptopia: The "Sand Region," or upper region, where the king and richer people live; the "Plains Region" is where most of the middle-class lives as well as where most of the market is; the newly established "Forest Region" where those ususally poor go to find new opportunites of fresh land while under constant risk of creeper attack; and also the newly discovered "Mountain Region," nicknamed Scragglerock Bay as the mountains form around a large rocky bay, which is under current exploration. (Suspicious reading have been recorded there that have been cataloged for further study.) We have a strict but fair police force that keeps everything in order, and so far no major riots or incidents of the such have been reported.
